You are a novice who wavers like a sapling, and thinks he is enlightened. Your advice is full of misconception. The fact that you waver so much is evidence of your lack of stability- it borders on paranoid delusional Bow down to the master! Will you teach me the way to your elightenment? I would love to be filled with arrogance contempt and anger, and be right when everyone else is wrong.

You are right. I stand corrected. I apologize for the misinformation
-
Thanks. I was just curious. As my perception grows I am trying to understand what I encounter, or may. But you are right, it is off track. And yes, the human ego is far more dangerous, and the reason behind any malevolent entity being able to bother us. I think Einstein said something like there are only two infinates- space and human ignorance.

Very Insightful. I totally agree. Do much of the brain is basically dormant, and only seems to function when people are on hallucinogens. Certain meditations have an effect on "consciousness" or whatever we wish to call it, and then these centers are more active. To me this backs up what you say. We only use a couple of percent of our brain because our consciousness or awareness is un-accessed. So better to pay mind to that, and then we understand the brain function.

I am curious about these beings, What is it all about? Are they only trying to communicate, if some are ok and some evil that makes sense. I know there are many trans-dimensional beings, including ourselves, but I don't think I encountered a reptillian.

There is one called the ultimate tao te ching, can't remember the author. It has all of the chinese chatacters and definitions as many characters can have multiple meanings when translated

Shengong(spirit skill) meditations that awaken energy centers and actually parts of the brain. A word of caution though... Have a strong foundation in tranquility meditation and make sure your qi is balanced and unobstructed. The tranquility of mind empowers the mind which allows visualization to be effective. Without a foundation vipassana and visualization techniques do not have much efficacy. It is also why many practitioners give up, or go crazy.

Yes. However the symbol appears to represent duality, Yet on a deeper level illustrates the transcendance of duality. Opposites may"exist" but they are part of a whole which arose from emptiness.

I am not trying to be pretentious but there is always confusion about this icon. Some call it tao symbol, some yin yang. The proper term is Taiji; just so everybody knows.

Falun gong, anyone having any good exeperience with it?
Li TaoRen replied to a topic in General Discussion
Im sure both systems have their purpose, but both are very new. Both are based on tried and true ancient practices that people alter somewhat and take credit for. It really depends on your goal. Simple healing, longevity, enlightenment... You don't have to be a master of anything to heal others or teach others to do it. It is like pharmaceuticals, after a few years you will see the side effects are positive or negative -
Falun gong, anyone having any good exeperience with it?

So as I was sending a pm to Magitek, my power went out just long enough to shut down my computer. Anyway, some will certainly disagree with me. The exercises may be good, but someone does have an agenda that does dot have anything to do with the welfare of the practitioners. Any movement that evolves into an organized religion is victim to corruption. This entity, though, was created by someone- human or not I can't tell you. I do not claim to know how long it has been around, my guess is not as long as is claimed. So much marketing, like "the Secret" A low-level understanding of an ultimate principal marketed to the helpless, poor and lost. Like any fundamentalist religion, making lofty promises. I will contemplate, and write an article with a how to on Transmuting the Entity. Similar phenomenon are very common, any real Qigong Doctor or Taoist priest could perform such an exorcism. If you invited it yourself, it will be simple, and you can easily transmute it with visualization. If it was directly transmitted you may wish to see an expert. From what I understand, many individuals in China are leaving this group with the help of doctors or priests. Im not sure what is readily available, but there is literature and science behind spiritual entities9- it is really only westerners that do not see this as common place. Even in China, so many are now skeptics, but in rural areas you see some amazing things. -

Magitek May I PM you? Vizualization can transmute it, and it can then be absorbed. I was too curious when the movement was brand new and had to remove it from myself. You can use standard techniques to remove it from others. If they are adept you could teach them the transmutation. I can explain the nature of the entity in more detail privately. For now I will say that it is collective, and has probably gained strength over the years. I doubt very much that Li Hongzi created it, but it is possible. He was investigated in depth, and there was no evidence of any formal training. In fact, it was stated that he was slow and unremarkable in youth as well... kind of like Hitler. -
The Eight Storing Qi & Developing Sensitivity Exercises
Li TaoRen replied to kitherapyworks's topic in General Discussion
have read book, but I have seen similar systems. If you research you usually find many qigong systems that are virtually the same. Some real masters achieve, and make slight alterations to suit their needs and beliefs- new name. Some frauds learn a system, arbitrarily make a few changes that may even be dangerous to the students-new name. Most systems work with steady practice, and proper mental direction. Just find a system that suits you. IE health, martial, spiritual. -

The persecution of falungong in China is not completely ill founded. There is a distorted picture in the west. We see disrupted peaceful demonstrations. We don't see the orphaned children when the parents refuse medical attention. We don't see the violent acts and psychic attacks that have occured. Real practitioners and Medical Qigong doctors have been beaten and slandered. The cult has caused so many problems that the government closed down most legitimate qigong clinics a few years ago. Many cultists have become insane, or suffering from extreme paranoia. Do some research, or better yet, go to China and see for yourself. I went to a Falun Gong demonstration in Canada after exercising the Falun from some people. They all looked at me with fear in their eyes and minds, a couple even ran away. Finally someone asked me to leave. Real Taoist cultivators(masters) believe that spiritual entities can posess people. There is an entire science behind it... most of which is kept "secret", and you usually must be a monastic or adept in order to receive the transmissions of knowledge. -

The "Falun" is an entity: Malevolent. In the long term will cause problems. Practicing can be ok, but inviting this entity to dwell within you is posession. I am not saying that all practitioners are bad people. There are many Falun nut-jobs, and many good people seeking truth. The Falun is a collective thought cluster that has become a spiritual entity. I have heard of people doing the "exercises" and benefiting. I have had to help some that invited this Entity to transmute it. Do what you will, but beware. -
Easy to cultivate with the correct technique, But we have different aptitudes and will all see differently

this is a very cryptic text, and difficult to understand completely. If your goal is to calm the mind to quiescence, It does not matter at what point you focus, but be consistent. If you are a beginner, It is wise to begin with the lower dantian, and when you gain some awareness and abundance you will feel the energy rise. It is important to close by rooting the Qi/SHen in the lower dantian if your practice is involving the mid or upper. Forcing visualization. Speaking from the past, practicing stoned doesnt help either. or sensations will not help, just be patient

What makes you think that; just curious.

Being new here, I may be out of line, but it seems to me that quite a few members like to flaunt and make a big deal of their knowledge. Often I see good advice given, but the tone is often "look what I know". I am a meditation teacher, student of a Thai Master, and practitioner for 20 years. I have practiced Qigong/SHengong for 14 years with different teachers, and have been a student and practitioner of Medical Qigong for 9 years. OK, I know there are many ways to see things, and everything is a big grey area; but some advice Ive seen is downright dangerous. Some comments are so arrogant in tone, that it seems absurd that these people think they are enlightened or whatever. The more you think you know... Since many people, earnest seekers included, do not know much about Qigong, Tao, or whatever- or have difficulty finding clear information- it is easy to read a couple of books and desire to share. But are we sharing out of calling, or for the gratification of seeming smart or knowing something someone else does not. If it is the latter, it is ego. When people claim to have these high level meditation experiences, and present in their postings such enormous ego; something doesn't make sense. If you don't have knowledge, real knowledge of energetic medicine or the ability for remote viewing- don't give stupid advice or prescribe exercises or herbs. Also quoting books at other people is meaningless when you don't understand what you are talking about. If you are just lonely, talk about the weather or get a cat. If you need to show off, buy a sportscar. Accept where you stand in cultivation, trying to outdo another or appear wiser than you are is good for no one. Intellectual knowledge is a beginning, you can memorize a million books and still be a fool. I know there are some real people here, wise and cultivated. I appreciate you and learn much from reading your posts. Im sure the real people will take no offense to this post.
-
Nicely put. I didn't mean to come across as being against quoting things, as this is very useful. The problem I have is when all someone can do is quote; just to show off and look special. Yes we all will, just as I opened this post talking about what I think I know. There is a difference, however in motivation. Scotty- Ive read some of your posts, and have not seen them as arrogant. You are quite insightful

In my understanding, Taoist teachings were cloaked in metaphor and cryptic language for several reasons. One being to promote self-understanding over dogmatics, another; to keep information out of the wrong hands. Persecution, yet another reason. "Cauldrons" have been used in reference to the triple burners, as well as the three dantians. In cultivation, the 5 elements are important to bring balance to the five yin organs. Kan and Li. Fire and Water are generally speaking the most out of balance. To get back on track; the cryptic language makes things seem more complicated than they are- especially in an intellectual and skeptical age. This balance and union will naturally occur with any well rounded internal discipline. Your own insight, and biofeedback will guide you through the process. If a certain system has yielded good results and is tried and true- practice. Often we can simplify without deviation. Simplify, don't modify. In Taoist teachings, once you get past the mere words things become very clear and laughably simple

Nice feedback. it warms my heart to read these real words of wisdom. There is some hope for mankind, especially when we work together. Sages and wannabe sages unite!

i am new here too. I would like to hear more about your study. I hope to go to CHina to complete my doctorate in medical qigong

Often, we want things that are not in harmony with Dao, or our personal destiny or life mission. If we let things happen, it all works for the best. If it is in harmony with the will of the Force you will get your scholarship.

Hope for nothing, if you are hoping there is no emptiness. If you are bored, you are thinking. Do you have an object of focus or concentration? Expecting anything is a hindrance.
