  1. ----

somebody has been browsing gumtree i stumbled across this yesterday and signed up. had nothing to lose. haven't tried the picture thing, but a short while after signing up my chakras felt a nice warm energy one after the other. very methodical. i ran from my computer, found my meditation cushion and cleared my mind to help the healing. when in this state i felt a spiritual entity, blue in colour, examining and adjusting my energies. it was definately different to other beings i have come across, who seem to have stronger energies. Maybe it's due to my constant sensitivity increase that i was able to perceive it. if i was able to see auras i would've done this in front of a mirror - but that's a skill i have yet to teach myself. unfortunately, i had to abruptly stop when the energy had reached my sixth chakra. however, i still felt it as i was going about my business. the energy completed it's tour of the chakras and afterward there was an intense tingling of the spine. she has agreed to teach me the Reiki 1 course/attunement.
  2. Seated Meditations

I train with two teachers: Eva Koskuba and Andrew Gibson. Eva and her husband, after some 25 years of diligent training, are now official students of Chen Xiaowang (19th generation of Chen style). Chen Xiaowang is the standard bearer of the Chen form (i.e. there are one or two other masters, but they agree his skills are better than theirs). Eva does 4 or 5 seminars every year here in Edinburgh. Andrew Gibson has been doing Tai Chi for about 20 years under various teachers. I know he used to teach one of the Yang short forms, before I joined his classes, and has now taken to teaching Chen style. He has been taught by Eva for the last 4 or so years. He also has some experience with other internal martial arts. Chen style is recognised by many as the first of the family styles, and possibly the first to exist outside of Buddhist and Daoist monasteries. The Yang, Sun, Wu can all be traced back to Chen style. I am in the process of learning the Lao Jia Yi Lu. My training consists of Zhan Zhuang, Shi Li, Mo Ca Bu, Silk Reeling, some Qigong exercises and the form itself. I have been taught to keep my back straight (tucking the tail, or whatever you want to call it) and to keep my hips and shoulders parallel at all times (no twisting on the spine). if i remember correctly chenvillage.com has some videos if you would like to see more.
  3. Help My Penis, This Is Not A Joke

The Sexual Teachings of the Jade Dragon: Taoist Methods for Male Sexual Revitalization (Paperback) by Hsi Lai Get this book if you're into this kinda stuff. Note though, that only the first half of the book is on penis enlargements and ejaculation prevention, the rest is on spiritual cultivation as a practise to enlightenment. The jolly Yellow Emporer loved his ladies What you lot said about finding the right fit is highlighted in the book, and is also mentioned in books concerning tantric sex. There is also one for women called the Sexual Teachings of the White Tigress.
  4. Six months of standing

congrats on the 6 months dude. i've tried and failed. kudos. i've only managed 4 consecutive months before i had a hangover and didn't feel up to it. it all went downhill from there. i would loosen up my knee joints and arms, then wuji position for about 15 minutes and try the hugging a tree for as long as possible. (... for those of you wondering, yes i followed Master Lam's Way of Energy book). in the last week of my practise i was able to stand for 40-45 minutes in total. in my standing meditations i used to shake a lot when the legs started to get tired (this was before i took up tai chi). becoming extremely yang was a big problem. heat would eminate from me, regardless of the weather i performed in. i usually stopped after the heat became far too uncomfortable and unbearable to carry on. sweating was a natural reaction of being so hot. had a reiki practioner have a go on me once and she was astounded by the heat transfering from me to her. it's something i'm working on i've never had the egg sensation from doing standing meditations, but i have from silk reeling exercises native to chen style tai chi. if you can hold the wuji for such a long period, it may be worth experimenting with other positions - have you given this any thought?
  5. Save My Rancid Blood

alcohol is well reputed for lowering blood sugar levels. apparently the most common reason for gaining a beer belly is actually eating more! appetite is roused by the slight lowering of the blood sugar levels caused by alcohol, thus making you more likely to eat. personally i would recommend cannabis over alcohol. decreases the sugar levels far more. this is how the munchies come about. inhale through a vapourisor if you are worried about your lungs. also, cut out all soft drinks (you should do this anyway, regardless of who is reading). don't go for the diet soft drinks as they contain aspartame, which is very bad for you. only one glass of fruit juice a day. at least 2 litres of water a day. 2 or 3 cups of organic green tea if you can stomach it(prepared properly: boil the water, pour into mug, wait about 3 - 4 minutes when the temp as dropped sufficiently and brew no longer than 2 minutes) avoid sugary cereals for breakfast, cakes, sweets etc... lots of fruit and veg. fruit contains a fair bit of sugar, limit it to perhaps 4 or 5 pieces a day. if you must eat chocolate: eat it after a meal to avoid over consumption, make sure it's at least 70% cocoa and no more than 100g a day. chocolate of high cocoa concentration has been proven time and again to be good for your body.
