  1. Eating Bananas Helps Too

He didn't literally get sucked off in public lol. Hes talking energetic/mind/psychic stuff.
  2. Does Social Engineering Exist?

I dunno.... Global slavery doesn't really appeal to me.
  3. I quite like the translation you were quoting. I was reading in the "definate edition" that the book probably got changed somewhat over the years.... So maybe the true Tao Te Ching doesn't exist even in ancient chinese language? But you can rest assured the Secret of The Golden Flowers OK since that was written quit recently and the political bastards haven't had time to latch onto it yet!
  4. I wrote a big rant on U G but edited it out. His words are out there (mostly free) so whoevers interested can go look them up. I don't like to see him get mixed up with Jiddu Krishnamurti (for instance). Actually I see him as very practical. Probably too practical for some people. I happen to believe he is very legit, if you look at what he did, what happened to him, his life, his words and actions. Anyway I don't want to get into a debate. He is not a guru or teacher never claimed to be. However many were fond of him.
  5. Findley, what translation of the Tao Te Ching are you quoting? What translations you read? which is your fave?
  6. Drugs! Turn on, tune in, drop out...

Latest news, Soma Juice is Amanita Muscarias (fly agaric, a mushroom) prepared into some kind of tea. So interestingly both the gnostic christian and hindu scriptures are based off of the use of this.
  7. I've seen that clip before. I bet that system kicks ass. Do you know anyone does it? Or met someone who does? Or have you ever tried it? Can a normal man such as myself be granted the privelage of learning it? [quote[some Russians performing Tibetan Trained Tummo - Very Secret.... Apparently not so secret if its called "yoga for everyone!". Seen that clip before, they say they've deciphered the physiological mechanism for Tummo. But its in Russian so I can't read it. But I wonder if they are actually teaching tummo or just telling you how it works?
  8. Taoism and the status of women

    It still sounds great!!
  9. Taoism and the status of women

I don't think its like that at all. Taoist stuff to me just seems very practical. Like retention (saving the seed, not ejaculating) is a practical thing for alchemy! As for male homosexuality maybe they viewed it as physically impractical. BTW Pietro, taoist society sounds AWESOME
  10. Taoism and the status of women

There are no taoist views Why not read the Tao Te Ching see if you make something out of it?
  11. Dark Crystal by Jim Henson

Its pretty good. Apparently they are making a new version soon.
  12. Vajrahridaya, In light of what you said, U G Krishnamurti sounds very much enlightened from the Buddhist perspective. He is not compassionate in the classic way but would give away his words freely and would talk to anyone who came up to him. I think hes like Rinzai(zen master) who was an awakenend buddhist. Maybe you would call him a Pratyekabuddhas (private buddhas)? The kundalini stuff you talk of sounds very Secret of the Golden Flower (taoist)..... I'll have to read that book again, as it mentions how it compared to some of the buddhist disciplines. Unless meditation is physical, having some kind of mechanism (like in Secret of the Golden Flower), I have a problem with it, in that I do not like to believe in a "mind" or "self" anymore. So the idea of putting energy into some mental form seems a bit ridiculous... What would a buddhist say to that? Well anyway, what of physical discipline in Buddhism? Maybe if you are a monk you can leave the body to whither but as a person in society you need to look after it to function. I heard Bodhidarma would see his monks withering away in meditation and would teach them kung fu. U G Krishnamurti did so much meditation that he would say to people "you never meditated". he happens to think its horrendous, at least the indian systems. Probably the systems he is talking of are the ones that build temendous amounts of energy just for that little glimpse of Self/Atman..... TO have that for extended periods one must go through hell. Like you get those fakirs who torture themselves to build will power, Gurdjieff says thats just the beginning for them, they then need to progress onto monk then on to yogi!!!
  13. Drugs! Turn on, tune in, drop out...

    Never works for me
  14. Drugs! Turn on, tune in, drop out...

U G Krishnamurti explains why drugs should be legalised. Incredible! He talks about Jesus eating mushrooms. Damn and I was suspicious of the gnostic(original) christian links with mushrooms. Also he mentions that the vedas were written being acid-heads (soma juice). He also talks about hacking. if I say more then that this post will probably be destroyed somehow lol. I'm suprised its still on youtube.com WTF How do I embed youtube vids.... Here is the link:
  15. Dangerous Meditation

-O- Thank you for your personal story. Would you mind telling me what your mother was practicing? And what siddhis she developed?
  16. What the Self Is (and Is Not)

Thanks for that. I no longer have the book so cannot check. Maybe I misread though, any way you cleared it up.
  17. Hello, Is Ma Bu (horse stance) part of Zhan Zhuang? Please tell me Zhan Zhuang practitioners what you have gained? I guess it is great for grounding since it allows you to channel the energy down into the ground through the legs. I've been playing around with standing meditation with a squat, keeping my spine is straight alignement and letting body sink down as if my legs were one of those springy computer chairs...... It seems I can make the energy run down my body, and then my legs seem to shake, bounce and open. It seems beneficial. It is like I am holding my body upright yet I am far more relaxed (in my upper body at least) then I would be if I was lying. Has anyone developed good leg flexibility through zhan zhuang or the horse stance? If you do horse stance how long can you hold it? I'm not even doing full horse stance and 5 minutes feels like a long time!! It feels like just standing could open the legs but a squat seems to emphasis it. I need to gain flexiblity, it is clear that is the next thing to do. Once I have my flexiblity I will have my full-lotus. The theory is that I will keep getting lower and lower in the squat while being able to ground myself. Eventually I will be grounded in a lotus. Then that will be the seat of my awakening. I never got on well with traditional stretching methods as I believe it is more about opening the leg channels. Since the muscles are already long enough, I just think of the tension as mental. If you look at animals they are all like contortionists yet they stretch naturally and for only a few minutes if that. People stretch for years and years and still have the same leg flexiblity. Whats more they often injure their legs. I do not think it will work. I need another way. I think the other way might be by running the energy down the body and into the ground through the legs. I remember speaking to one qigong practitioner once and he said after a retreat his legs were like rubber and he suprised himself and his coach when stretching at some sports club..... That was with NO STRETCHING. I want your thought and experiences. Especially if you are doing Ma Bu (Horse Stance) I want to know the specifics. How long you hold it. Whether you treat it as a meditation or just conditioning. Energetic effects (if you percieve them), the effect it has had on your body, even the effect it has had on your overall life .etc .etc. I am INTERESTED. Remember I want to hear insight, experiences... Please don't point me to Pavel Tsatsouline, Thomas Kurz, Bob Kooley or someone else in the fitness business. Real meat and bones stuff. Anyone? Or even if you just like my idea let me know. Thank you very much.
  18. Thank you very much. I would be interested in that book. You say focused on your outside surrounding.... So you do eye-open? Sorry I am clueless on Zhan Zhuang, all I know is that it is "standing post" meditation. I do the drooping eyelids, both eyes set on the bridge of the nose, the trick given in the Secret Of The Golden Flower. I think "setting the plum line" is a neat trick but if its better eye-open I'll do that. Also something I am doing is is to rise my head to the sky, straightening my spine as much as it does, tucking my chin back, and looking slightly downwards. If you have a cat sometimes they do a stretch that is a bit like that. I don't know if that is artificial, but I have heard simmilar recomendations for sitting and it seems to be opening a channel in my neck, which is where I store a lot painful tension which is most concentrated on the rear side of my brain. It is like someone has shot an arrow into the back of my brain. When I do this spine trick the energy can trickle down a little as if i'd straightened a hose.
  19. Yeah sorry I'll lighten up. How about we conclude this thread with that nice quote in your sig!
  20. h.uriahr, can you recommend a book that will tell me about Xing Shen Zhuan? Or some other material Lucky7Strikes, what is the kua? joeblast, I am sick of my tsaos lol. I would happily never have an orgasm again for a taste of that sweet lotus . What do you mean"opening and closing" hip exercises? I know the elbow cradle. Once I get full lotus, I will decide whether its my silver (or gold or platinum!) bullet
  21. Marblehead I think you are right. I was very intense at one point in my "path". I know what I'm to do next though. This post was just a vent against all the bullshit I had to pick up along the way. The ridiculous costumes I had to wear so I can discover what this was all about.
  22. Yes I want to keep it real. Practical. IMO The Secret of the Golden Flower seems a very practical book. Hypothetical talking has become really alien to me now... Philosophy used to appeal a bit but thats gone too... So I am left with is "next action". The thought just stifles this. Excess conceptual thinking is like masturbation. It just seems to use up the sexual energy. Wow what a fool I've been, retention is not enough! It is difficult for me. I read something you say and I think "hmm that could be true" and "but it is false" at the same time. When there are two opposites and I have no preference then I just let it go. Now I have to do some stuff in the garden. We are just like computers "next process", "next process". I am un-installing the "mental masturbation" virus.
