  1. Well thanks for the support. Erdrickgr, I'm not a gnostic christian! I just thought of a book that exposed the "system" and the Gospel of Thomas does! Its Chri I'm done trying on outfits. I never even called myself a spiritualist. I know this is useless. I'm done!!!! Anyone can quote something out of this or that book. How I am different?! Just a bad habit of mine. I'm not implying austerity.... Really I think things are too obvious for words! I know it might sound like paranoia...... But real paranoia is thinking someone knows some great mystical, god formula you don't. Thinking a needle going in your arm does no good is common sense! Forget it. Like I know a thing. Empty mind. Books never helped me. Just there for fun. I guess people just want to play the game.... So I look like the spoiled brat whos walked away in the middle of a monopoly game in a sulk. What have I got to do next? I don't give a shit what I think I want. What's indicated? Where am I being led? And what means will present themselves? Away from discussions obviously. I tell my "friends" quite openly, "if I came into some money, you'd probably never see me again"
  2. Is Tao a Living Organism? (Please, Discuss)

No sorry, I was not clear enough..... I meant the "looking within" is a trap. It assumes there is something there. Like a self. Or God. Tao Te Ching never mentions such things.
  3. Is Tao a Living Organism? (Please, Discuss)

There is no within! Ah! another trap.
  4. Top 3 advice from you to you

    1. Never ejaculate. No matter how "good", "healthy" or "normal" friends, enemies, "sex education" people",scientists .etc say it is. if it happens in the night never mind but never intentionally do it!!! 2. All of human knowledge is of no use to you. There is nothing to it. By all means use it for your own gain, but do not let it use (enchant, lull) you. 3. NOTHING wrong with you. Something is wrong with the values placed upon you.
  5. Is Tao a Living Organism? (Please, Discuss)

Very good. I believe so too, I don't think it is just describing some dead philosophy. The words attempt to capture something living, which is not possible. The words are just marks left behind but not the thing itself. A bit like a tornado will leave a lot of chaos in its wake. The flow of "life" animates everything..... Down to the atoms and up to the planets. Everything moves by the flow.... Seeing yourself as a puppet in this flux is probably what people is meant when people talk about the mysteries of life and death. That is, that life and death become one of the same, and classifying things as dead or alive is ridiculous. This is the job of the "life scientists" and their science is purely arbitrary. Either we can say there is one huge organism (the universe) or there is no life at all and nothing exists. Life and death become one. This is the only way I see non-duality and lack of seperation being a reality. However conceptual non-duality is just plain useless. It just makes people slow and impractical. One poster was saying that 2+2 could equal 5. He is missing the point. There is no point retarding ourselves. Getting back into the flow is what I believe to be "the way" Laozi is trying to communicate. Its also known as kundalini. In fact, kunda = the kundabuffer organ supposedly implanted by "arch chemists" to negatively polarise kundalini and insulate us from the universe. Maybe this is just mythology aimed at illustrating our folly of self-consciousness. and lini = eliminate So it is about removal. I take "the way" to be a removal. Not an addition. Not an adoption of an alien philosophy. Not a conceptual "i am enlightened".
  6. Secret of the Golden Flower

I don't know. I wish I did. I'm thinking too hard. Someone out there might hjave an answer but I'll have to let it go. Well I'l lguess I'll have to order that if I want it because they aren't giving it away for free. I found another reference to I Ching in the Scientific American: Martin Gardner, "Mathematics of the I-Ching," Scientific American, Jan. 1974,
  7. Why do we disagree so much?

Good point. I have said many things forcefully but I would readily go back on them. All the writings left here are just dead thought. They really do not correspond to the living beings behind the computers. At some point, maybe even as late as on the deathbed, we will have to give it up. So right now we are just bickering like children. Thats what this place is for right?
  8. Secret of the Golden Flower

I both agree and disagree. During the day you have things the tend to, I think it is better to never mind anything else. How can we attent to more then one thing? "awareness", "mindfulness", "consciousness" are just conceptual, I'll leave them out. But doesn't the light come of itself? And as for the circulation, I understood this happens when you stop interfering. I agree the breath is not important. We use the breath to control the body, we are like puppets moved by breath control. This is how I see it. But at some point during the day, even if it is only for 15 minutes, there comes a point where we no longer need to control the body. Our work is done, our friends and family aren't around .etc. So we can let it go for a bit. And we can attend to doing nothing. The original text had pictures of men sitting, surely there is a meaning? It talks about the breath slowing and heart slowing untill they stop altogether. So clinical death, or perhaps just coming close to death. This is what happened to U G Krishnamurti, his body died clinically and then the kundalini took charge. Amongst the happenings where spontaneous yoga movements, mudras .etc. He said that the people in india simply imitated the natural re-birth process making various yoga systems. Semples experience doesn't sound as extreme as U Gs yet it still sounds very real. These are just my opinions of course. I believe "enlightenment" is a physiological process. I'm not talking about evolution, I don't give a shit about that. The natural sciences I will sweep away too. In one of his conversations U G said that the animal desires and aggressions left his brain. Gnostic christian texts also mention humans being different from animals. So maybe this can actually happen physically, rather then trying to suppress which has failed miserably throughout all human history. BTW edited out the end as it sounded a little offensive. Also Mikelz I have been reading your posts. Sorry I mention U G so much.
  9. Secret of the Golden Flower

We have the five elements/pentagram, Hexamgrams of the I Ching, the 10 Sephirot of the Kabbalah. How does it relate? Or are they just abitrary divisions of the whole universe? Where is that 1970 Scientific American article on the I Ching and binary code? Studying computer science soon so this would be particularly interesting.
  10. stop seeking bliss; it's wrong

When the penis balloons it goes numb and then the feeling goes internal. Isn't not coming good? Whats so good about coming? Haha, you knew if you jerked like normal people do (trying to come as quick as poss) then the penis would probably have shrinked. Thats what all the idiots I grew up with and the school education system tried to get me to do! People are so backwards, they think being an impotent sex-addict is a good thing :s
  11. stop seeking bliss; it's wrong

I'm with Findley in that it is better to change your mind and look a little foolish then become a blockhead. I said a lot of things on here that I'd no longer believe myself. Also what is SKF?
  12. Secret of the Golden Flower

I need some Secret of Golden FLower support! Any help? In Wilhelms translation it says somewhere that when meditating to clench the teeth (!) . How can this be right? The laying of the tongue on the palatte and the setting of the "plum line" on the bridge of the nose seem natural but this doesn't. I usually close my mouth but my teeth are resting apart. I am open to correction. thanks.
  13. stop seeking bliss; it's wrong

Yes but what if they crash afterwards? Why ignore the practicalities? can it be maintained? Theres a blog BewareOfGod which talks about a guy who got involved with the sociopath Da Free John. The guy would practice in the group, would get shakti fever and had to go to the hospital and be operated upon! I have heard of people getting health problems from Kunlun too. Most people are just talking about sweet dreams. But soon you have to wake up. If all you want is bliss then just eat hash. I can't think of a better way. Its quicker and you'll probably strain yourself less. I think one of the Zen Patriarchs said the Siddhārtha Gautama (sakyamuni buddha) died lying on his side at a pretty standard age, obviously he was implying something. Theres a clip of Paramahansa Yogananda saying do my yoga and you'll live past 100 and then he croaks at 59. They called Bodhidarma the barbarian. Not the polite bliss-man. I know many neurotic people who say they are happy .etc, but their faces tell a different story. I say if you have to tell youself you are happy .etc you are really in a horrible state. Maybe their are authientic ways, which is why I'm moving onto the golden flower. Some pranayama however just constricts the breath and strains the body, altering the bodies chemistry and making one light headed.
  14. stop seeking bliss; it's wrong

Don't get me wrong U. G. hasn't been a teacher or master or anything. Hes just my case study. So is Semple. Anyone can say they are enlightened.
  15. stop seeking bliss; it's wrong

Well for practical purposes I cannot see how bliss can be maintained. U G Krishnamurti says that everywhere he goes people all want the same thing : permanent pleasure without a moment of pain. He describes God as the ultimate sensual pleasure. The mystical states as sensual. The sprititual goals (.e.g. hierarchy theosophy bullshit) as materialistic. He also says how the body is not interested in bliss and it actually hurts the body. So out goes tantric sex. His body acts exactly like is said in the Secret of The Golden Flower, the primal spirit taking charge, within the skull and between the eyes. The way JJ Semples body acts sounds similar but U. G.s is the most extreme awakening, he basically doesn't exist..... He often tells people the cabbage is more alive then they are. Hard to swallow, but I find it hard to believe in a light body that progresses up the dimensions through the astral .etc anymore. In spite of that he says enlightenment does not exist, probably due to the exploitation in india (and elsewhere).
  16. Book on Qi meridians?

I had some book on my Amazon wishlist that was like an esoteric anatomy book. Dammit why are things disspearing from there? Anyone know what this one might be? It had pictures of people with their chakras .etc showing up from what I remember.
  17. I AM A GENIUS

I'd like to read your book once it is out. Can you read or speak chinese? They have such good books! What the hell do we have?! starbucks?!
  18. stop seeking bliss; it's wrong

Nope, reading Wilhelm. JJ Semple only needed the Wilhelm. He talks about how he experienced the primal spirit taking its rightful control in the spot between the eyes. Interestingly, U G Krishnamurti also said his whole body was controlled from this point. I'll probably go onto Clearys version next.
  19. Hi, Someone mentioned/recommended an interesting looking book on Tibetan astrology here at Taobums. I can't remember in which thread it was posted. Does this ring a bell with anyone? Keep giving me books that it might be and I'll have a look see if its that one. Thanks.
  20. stop seeking bliss; it's wrong

If only I knew most the spiritual people were bliss bunnies I could have saved myself a lot of time. Just got my hands on The Secret of the Golden Flower, its very direct.
  21. Secret of the Golden Flower

Fine OK. Talk away. I just do not see how awakening the kundalini is shallow. I cannot see any other "way". April, pipe up!!
  22. Drugs! Turn on, tune in, drop out...

LOL yeah I know what you mean..... Speaking to normal people I often forget. People do truly do seem enchanted by the prospects of career, wife, kids .etc. How wierd is that!! I see it all as a shell. To actually believe there is anything in all that, how miserable would that make you?!
