  1. The relentless advancement of technology is having a serious detrimental effect to the environment and humanity itself. The smartphone is the opiate of choice nowadays, turning millions, possibly billions of people into zombies, unable to connect with each other in meaningful ways. The future is scary. After 10 years of using smartphones, I'm getting off the grid. I am going back to a bog standard mobile phone, call and text only. My internet use will be maybe once a week on my home computer.
  2. Chundi mantra

http://web.archive.org/web/20170109162811/https://medium.com/vajra-resources/spiritual-cultivation-is-the-cultivation-of-heart-fbf51c1fad86 From the website discussed on page 6 of this thread.
  3. Very thought provoking film, and so true of modern living. We are deep in Kali Yuga and implosion is imminent. The timing of we don't know, but it's on it's way. Our only refuge is spiritual cultivation, whatever form (s) we choose. How sad humanity has become.

  5. Lower Dantian / Hara vs. Third Eye

Hara/dantian centre for grounding, calmness. Heart centre for love Third eye for psychic development.
  6. Egyptian Massacre

My thoughts to all affected by the heartless, cowardly, despicable act of mass murder of innocent Sufis in Northern Egypt on Friday.
  7. Rasa transmission from ausar.org?

Where do I sign up ?🦄
  8. What Have You Learned

Be yourself. Follow your interests but don't overdo it.
  9. Golden Flower Meditation

The Secret of the Golden Flower is NOT an energy circulation exercise. The Wilhelm version, which JJ Semple followed, is severely flawed. Cleary's translation is superb.
  10. Chundi mantra

    Great find. Thank you.
  11. Chundi mantra

The guy who had this page has taken it down. Which is a pity, because there was a Sanskrit long dharani of Cundi which I was going to use in my practice. I've scoured the internet for it but I've come up empty. Does anyone have this ?
  12. What constitutes Taoist alchemy?

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Awakening-Tao-Shambhala-Classics-I-ming/dp/159030344X This is also a gem of a book. Reading these two will give a better understanding of neidan. Nothing whatsoever to do with energy circulation practices.
  13. What constitutes Taoist alchemy?

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/0062501933/ref=cm_cr_srp_mb_bdcrb_top?ie=UTF8 Amazing book which is a classic on daoist internal alchemy. That is, the Thomas Cleary translation.
  14. A student once asked his teacher, "Master, what is enlightenment?" The master replied, "When hungry, eat. When tired, sleep."
  15. Rasa transmission from ausar.org?

    I was thinking the same.
  16. https://www.durhamcathedral.co.uk Also there is here. Again, only 15 minutes drive from my home. Another ancient holy Christian site which has tremendous energy and power. I can feel it here too. Even though I don't identify myself as a Christian, I can't deny the extraordinary power of these places.
  17. http://www.english-heritage.org.uk/visit/places/finchale-priory/?utm_source=Google Business&utm_campaign=Local Listings&utm_medium=Google Business Profiles&utm_content=finchale prior This place is about 15 minutes drive from my home. Every time I visit I feel really strong energy in the whole area. I plan on meditating here someday to tap into it.
  18. What does everyone practice :)

https://muraqaba.wordpress.com/2008/10/25/muraqaba/ Sorry for the delay in responding. I've been away from the forums for a while. This is a good article which explains silent Sufi Meditation, muraqaba.
  19. What does everyone practice :)

Xing Yi Nei Gong. Silent Sufi Meditation. Spending time in nature walking with my Siberian Huskies.
  20. What are the fruits of your practice?

    You practice all these ?
  21. David Icke

A visionary. David Icke woke me up to so many of the lies and cover ups in the world.
  22. A fresh start

I can definitely relate to this, roger. I've been in this situation many times. The darkness and suffering can more often than not, be a catalyst for change.
  23. What are the fruits of your practice?

A few that come to mind : Resistance to disease and minor ailments. Flexibility, elasticity and relaxed strength. A bright outlook on life. An appreciation of the complexity of nature.
  24. Direct Pointers to the Great Elixir: Oberfrank

    Excellent stuff, thanks for sharing.
  25. The Perils of Meditation

Unfortunately this isn't an isolated incident. A quick search brings up some more vipassana horror stories.
