Sifu Dan LaRochelle and the Rizzo brothers

What you say is true. I have the Golden Lotus Flying phoenix meditation DVDs (level 17 according to GM Doo Wai) and he seems to fall asleep due to the deep relaxation caused by the meditations. He also mentions this in the video. I prefer now to learn from GM Doo Wai because it is better to learn from the source. The deep relaxation the system offers is very helpful and is the only system I have encountered so far that can provide that.- 38 replies

Direct healing of negative emotions I found to be more effective than Buddhist techniques which tend to be more mental and not practical for a householder. Suppression does happen for Buddhists in my experience. The tendency to appear equanimous can just be a facade for buried suppressed emotions. Not sure why anyone would want to put Buddhism on a pedestal. I do it myself from time to time. Then I look at the requirements for dark retreats, 3 years, and stop thinking it is all that wonderful and go back to what works for me in a practical sense. One thing from Buddhism that gives me peace is the wish for the happiness of others. One thing from Buddhism that I dislike is the tendency to view life as 'sucky' and we should engage in meditation for hours rather than enjoy life off-cushion. Enjoying life is actually much better for you since you no longer block life energy and you become happier as a result.

Look up man flow yoga on YouTube. I've mainly used it for erection and increasing blood flow to the pelvic area with good results. Kegel exercises were harmful for my body, yoga with special focus much better.

I suggest making Vietnamese pho (noodle soup) as it contains star anise, cardamon, cinnamon stick and cloves and broth from either chicken or beef. Tasty and healthy.

Flying Phoenix level 2 meditations demonstrated by Doo Wai himself seems powerful from my practice of some of the meditations. The problem with the San Gong etc meditations is the high price but if you can afford it, just go for it.- 38 replies

I think this is why it is better to do self-inquiry, focus on being neutral and non-reactive rather to be overly obsessed with loss of jing.

I don't know when exactly I started doing FPCK, but it has to be more or less from the beginning of the thread. I had some breaks in between, but 13-14 years of FPCK gives some nice results. Some time ago I discovered I can communicate with the energy/intelligence behind FPCK and direct the healing towards specific parts of my system and also other persons and their issues. Whether this is the official way of healing with FPCK I don't know, but it works for me. Also I notice in general with cultivation it is helpful to enjoy life and your passions as the qi flows better in your body and life seems just way better.

The problem is you think you can diagnose things online. It was one drop of cbd 10 %, so very little dosage. It gave that effect because I am very sensitive due to years of training. And no, you don't want increased sensitivity when you are already sensing too much. You want to calm down the system not increase the load on the senses.

What you call reality is wrong perception if it is dual. I used cbd once to see thoughts just as symbols and not really anything concrete. So it was more clear and relaxed than normal 'reality' whatever that was. Thc gives that high feeling like alcohol and I don't like the feeling. I went without alcohol for many months and my brain learned to produce its own feeling of 'this is funny' to avoid the seriousness that kills the joy in people.
-
I think the increased chi flow is due to the relaxing effect of cbd on the body and increased unstickiness of thoughts. There is the tendency to see the siliness of the seriousness of thoughts due to the thc content I think. I haven't used it to increase chi flow but to relax due to stress and anxiety.

Check out Scott Kiloby's work. Could be you are suffering from emotional repression that manifests as back pain. Also some energy healing modalities can ease the pain.- 33 replies

Nothing is relative, all is relative, nothing is relative Is a translation of the zen saying 'first there are mountains, then there are no mountains, then there are mountains again' The middle stage is the non dual bypass discussed by Scott Kiloby by using presence as an escape from the unconscious emotions. It feels like emptiness but actually is the shutdown mechanism the body-mind uses to not face deeper emotions.

On people pleasing 'being nice' All kinds of childhood patterns, traumas need to be addressed. Neither Buddhism nor Daoism do this, you have you look elsewhere for techniques.
-
If you practice enough you'll end up 'good' but note sometimes you have to be a badass since some people only understand things the hard way. People pleasing is not something you deal with in qigong. You might have to look into divine energy healing, kiloby inquiries or something else.

For very few the recognition lasts, so we have to use other tools. Edit: Noticed some selfish traits come up, did a part of a Dzogchen practice and it disappeared. Just empty clarity left. So grateful for ChNN. A real master ♥️ -

I think you can do both. Clearing old surface karma is simple (just use divine healing tools or light) but deep seated karma cannot be cleared in a few seconds. A change of life circumstances, doing good deeds, focus on virtue is the way. Also I found receiving Buddhist empowerments cleared some heaviness out as doing Tantric practices as well. I think a good measurement tool is finding out what you feel towards others: do you wish them well or harm? -

You can force things but it will actually set you back because you have to repair the damage. A lesson in taking it slow. -

I know this is a pointing out but why denounce demons, when it is just as stupid to denounce psychopaths/sociopaths like Ted Bundy? Non-physical entities do exist or do not exist? -
Considering the Notion of Progress in Meditation
johndoe2012 replied to Robin's topic in General Discussion
I like how it is described in Peter Brown's work http://www.theopendoorway.org/yoga.htm Reality is already your experience but is not perceived correctly thus needing work to perceive it as it really is. I feel that page also transmits a knowledge/transmission to get that correction a cross.- 18 replies
