Boy I like this form of exercise. First I tend to do similar focusing as I do when walking, concentrating into the lower dantien when inhaling and expanding way out when exhaling. Then after a while it starts to feel more natural to just stay in the LDT, it feels more "solid" or "obvious" as the body (and mind) softens and loosens from the bounce. I no longer get any nausea after rebounding, just a good energetic relaxed feeling. "The Heart Sutra" recited by Chunyi Lin goes very well with bouncing

Recommendations for central and obstructive sleep apnea

My 6-year old daughter has sleeping apnea too. I hope surgery won't be necessary, could be though. -
The Secret of Woman and the Moon cycle
King Kabalabhati replied to Non's topic in General Discussion
Agreed. My current (far from "new agey" or "spiritual") girlfriend told me she's been usually dating bodybuilder types and is surprised that I can satisfy her. This hasn't happened for her much with a man. I'm of a slender frame, although I do exercise regularily I'm not an alpha male. She said that when we met the first time she instantly "saw" that I could do it for her and that's why she fell in love with a guy who is far from her ordinary preference. I believe it's about personal power that comes through meditation and positive experiences or "conditioning" in life. Remember, I used to be quite insecure sexually but kept on trying even after some very embarrassing and dissapointing experiences (including divorce). This could also have something to do with age, some men just seem to mature later.. So IMO there's hope for most guys who are willing to work on their attitude. Learning the Tao of loving can be very helpful with its techniques such as "soft entry" which has saved me many times already -
The story of Apa Gaypo Tenzin who was led to enlightenment by Lama Drukpa Kunley

Hehe I like this. -
30 minutes went by nicely, I was focusing on the LDT, or getting used to focusing while bouncing.

Siddhis and Powers are essential for Enlightenment
King Kabalabhati replied to bodyoflight's topic in General Discussion
That would have to mean that we always transmute/transcend the anger or dont generate it at all, otherwise we would end up very sick. But yes, what a great accomplishment that would be. -

Siddhis and Powers are essential for Enlightenment

I get the bottom line but I don't get the point. Someone seeking enlightenment running away from siddhis now? Come on, just accept what comes naturally on the path. -
Reverse breathing, or "energy breathing" as taught by Chunyi Lin (not sure if you refer to the exact same thing), feels very natural once you get used to it. I breathe this way all the time without thinking about it.

Non-Attachment to thoughts is the Way
King Kabalabhati replied to Simple_Jack's topic in General Discussion
I notice that instead of stopping thought, asking myself "who?"often provokes a moment of profound stillness. I guess it's a question that has no answer -
Cheya, thanks for your input

I notice a "detox"-like effect coming from about 20 minutes of rebounding. While I bounce it feels very good, then soon after I quit I start feeling a bit "weak" and irritable. This is similar to the feeling I get from fasting but only lasts for maybe half an hour. The heat and tingling in the skin and heart area could indicate the stimulated lymph flow that I've read is associated with rebounding.

What I've gathered: Since everything is energy then when it comes to energy healing there's no limitations concerning distance. In a way all energetic information is accessible to the healer, but we're talking real Qigong healers now who know how to enter the emptiness. Personally I've sent energy long-distance to a friend who responded to it, we were chatting on facebook and she immediately said she noticed a warm energy coming into her heart, I hadn't told her what I was doing.

Stop meaning and get bouncing! I bought the only model in the nearby town which was a cheapo, but I'm already considering investing in a high quality instrument. edit: typo

The European equivalent would be called Trimilin I suppose, made in Germany.

I got mine yesterday. I'm sold and I'm ready for all the blessings of the bounce so bring 'em on!

Yep this singer I quoted seems to value humble beauty, or think that true beauty is really humble. Something that's not very hard to relate to. Also, the image of a small sandy forest road comes vividly into my mind whenever I hear these lyrics.. May also include some sweet nostalgia from childhood

Is there a preferred white rice?
King Kabalabhati replied to Encephalon's topic in General Discussion
Thanks and nice to hear you're healthy! This is OT but since you mentioned it, when I first heard the Japan news I broke into tears and then had a strange fit.. It felt like a major congestion in my liver. I had to lie down for about ten minutes. -
Is there a preferred white rice?
King Kabalabhati replied to Encephalon's topic in General Discussion
In Ayurveda they consider brown rice to be "tamasic" with mind-dulling and excessively "grounding" effects if eaten a lot whereas white rice is considered "sattvic" meaning it's good for clarity and compassion promoting sage-like behavior. Most fresh vegetables and fruits fit in this same cathegory. The light feeling I get from eating white rice and veggies makes me agree with this. When it comes to the nutrients we can't find out everything by examining the product since there's always the question about how well these nutrients are absorbed in the individual digestive system. In general, the smoother the digestive process the more we benefit from the food. Here we have to watch out for improper combinations since they can make a perfectly digestable food seem hard to process. -
Is there a preferred white rice?
King Kabalabhati replied to Encephalon's topic in General Discussion
White rice with stir-fried vegetables is one of the few foods that I can eat as much as I want and not get a full, bloated feeling or any other digestive problem for that matter. -
+1 (except for the blowing-up part lol )

Different hours, for different recovery - Sleep
King Kabalabhati replied to NeiChuan's topic in General Discussion
I use full spectrum lights all day and all evening and have experienced no sleeping difficulties. This could of course be different from person to person. I have noticed that when I go to sleep at 9 pm and get up at 4 am I feel the most rested.
