Marijuana Revelations; Modern Taoists in Modern China
King Kabalabhati replied to findley's topic in General Discussion
I've been smokin lots and lots of weeeeed in my life, and it's made me stupid enough to admit I really don't know much.. I'm talking about cultural racism here.. Our societies are built on that. We're on the bandwagon and still enjoying the fruits of slavery. White supremacists use every means they can to put down black cultures (also including Indian/south american etc), take weed for example. I know some smokers here and there are pretty stuck because of it, but for many it's a native healing herb and they've integrated it into their culture, knowing also how to dispel the toxins from their bodies because they are in tune with nature, communicating with plants in profound ways. Or at least this is what I've read and I have no proof that it's not true so I keep my perception open about it. So to me it's too much to swallow when someone is so "in the know" about it when they might as well admit they dont know shit and that their world view is (or seems) forking narrow. But most of all I guess I just wanted to stir the anthill a bit further -
Marijuana Revelations; Modern Taoists in Modern China

There are Rastamen high in the hills who live a life that's so much more natural and more in tune with Tao than any of you computer geeks who half-willingly ride on the White Supremacy bandwagon and think you know for certain the effects of weed on every person.. Not meaning to get personal, I also use the computer a lot and I live a Western life even if a bit more "bohemic" one than most.. But the arrogance towards herb is not justified. Who did say it's alla bout the intention? Well here it may apply very well. If you and your friends can't get truely high when you're high it doesn't mean nobody could. So respect pleeeease. And as I said I don't smoke anymore, but this kind of "knowing" makes me wanna knot know you. Well, I'm not really that angry but you get my point. -
This would possibly be a good job for ex-snipers wanting to make an honest living..

What do you see differently when your 3rd eye is open or opening?
King Kabalabhati replied to baloneyx's topic in General Discussion
I suggest next time you see a guy in good meditation you just briefly greet him and don't bother him for more than half a minute -
Few of us have lived the ideal life for oul colons (or the rest of the system) to be naturally clean. Faulty eating habits, unhealthy attitudes, too much sitting down etc etc all lead to toxins building up in the intestines and colon, along with other organs. Cleansing the colon with herbs and enemas can be very good for the overall health of a person so that probably translates to more open channels and more "loving potential", meaning positivity and ability to concentrate. Flush your troubles away!!! Also, Queen Afua's book "Sacred Woman" states that certain eating habits like too late dinners cause the colon to prolapse on the womb, thus pressing it in a non-healthy way. This can lead to more serious conditions and general illness of the womb, which is the woman's "creative center".. In general women should take better loving care of their wombs, so many cancers of the womb could be prevented with proper care and affection.

Swine Flu May Cause 90,000 U.S. Deaths, Report Says
King Kabalabhati replied to Encephalon's topic in General Discussion
Australian health authorities have stated that the swine flu has been quite mild, even on children. It's wintertime in Australia now so it looks like the threat isn't all that big. IMO the vaccine may be a big fat hoax and even those with poor immunity should consider twice before getting it.. It might be more dangerous than the flu itself. And yes, the government health officials SHOULD prescribe Chi Kung exercices to every citizen. Now that would be health care. -
One thing I've pondered lately.. Before when I used to do the Power Lock exercise, meaning the one where you arouse yourself and then pull up the sexual energy, it used to feel quite heated. Now lately as I've done it the energy has clearly felt cool instead of warm, just a refreshing feeling of sparkling and shivering cool "electric" energy. When I've gathered it in the navel, it has moved rather slowly like a thick goo, and then when it's all been gathered it's felt cool also in the navel. I wonder if this has anything to do with the Tao Yin exercises I've been doing daily for the last month or so.. I feel a lot of chi movement after doing the 1 hour to 1 1/2 hour-set, so I'd assume it has opened some channels. Perhaps my energy balance is more yin than before.. After beginning with those I haven't felt any unpleasant sexual urge, though I certainly haven't lost my "sexy feeling" So while I appreciate all insight on the subject, I also want to strongly recommend the Tao Yin (probably any chi kung does the same) to all who are doing semen retention and the exercises involved. I just woke up in the middle of the night (I knew I would fall asleep while putting my kids to sleep so I set an alarm to wake me up) to do these practices and I sure don't regret. God bless, King K

Marijuana Revelations; Modern Taoists in Modern China
King Kabalabhati replied to findley's topic in General Discussion
It is true culture is a vampire, that's the Rastaman point of view. Attachment to culture causes great suffering and often misleads the spiritual trod. Just ask Dalai Lama, he seems ready to see his own culture die if its time has come. There's no point in bowing to culture. Culture is a corpse that we drag around until it really starts to stink and we have to drop it. Now this doesn't mean I'm gonna go pick a fight with some Chinese Gungfu Master.. It's all just a cleansing stream of thought. Give thanks for the agitation -

I dropped my ten-year old weed habit after beginning the Inner Smile and Tao Yin.. But still I must say there's something wrong with people who think they KNOW FOR SURE that useing the weed stunts spiritual progress. If you can cleanse your liver and brains of the herb residue, or don't smoke it all the while, God knows, it could help you.. or it could be another illusion, but a nice one. I love it still, I just don't smoke it. -
I got first kicked into A. by this book: http://www.amazon.com/Complete-Book-Ayurve...6884&sr=8-1 The cookbook I have also, it's a good one with lots of medicinal info on food substances. It seems you need to read many books in order to get a good picture of Ayurveda, I have five altogether plus I've done a lot of browsing on the web. These two books will already give you a solid foundation.

Rhubarb root is the best purgative according to Ayurveda (or what I've red about it) , Senna is the only thing I've tried so far and it works well, took it in the morning, there was some funny feelings and a bit of griping in the stomach thru the day, a hangover-like feeling for a few hours and then some small "rocks" and mucus (called ama in Ayrveda) came out. Good riddance for sure. The terms "mild purgative" and "laxative" do overlap somewhat. To make it more clear, Rhubarb root is considered "milder" only in relation to Senna which causes more griping as it does its thing. Both should work very well in occasional use. FOOD COMBINATIONS are an essential part of avoiding (or increasing) ama, the toxic mucus that forms in the body. Ayurveda has a lot to say about this.

Question: Old Indian wisdom - Plant wisdom
King Kabalabhati replied to froggie's topic in General Discussion
At least there is Ayurvedic knowledge of whether a plant is: -sattvic, meaning it helps meditation and "saint-like" thinking -rajasic, meaning it is (hyper)active and stimulating, helping in daily chores and succeeding in material life, but leading to aggression in excess -tamasic, which is grounding and, in excess, dulls the mind and makes one more attached to pleasures etc. Ginger is considered very sattvic, cardamom is also, chillies are rajasic, onions and everything that's hard to digest, also stale foods and fast foods and such are tamasic. Some herbs that help meditation are camphor, sandalwood and gokshura. All sattvic foods such as white rice and mangoes are good for promoting clear meditation. If you're interested, Vasant Lad has some good books on the subject, "The Yoga of Herbs" being my favorite herb book. -
Triphala btw is not a purgative, rather a laxative so you can use it daily. Stronger purgatives are not for regular use, they may damage the bowel if overused. Still they are very good to use every now and then, they can loosen some pretty hard rocks from within

Rhubarb root is considered a good purgative in Ayurveda, mild but effective. I've tried Senna and it works. Love the water enema, especially the first time made me feel fery light inside.

I have a friend who claims to be able to read thoughts of others. However true it may be, he certainly doesn't seem to understand them -

King Kabalabhati replied to baloneyx's topic in General Discussion
From what I've studied I understand the third eye really is a navigation point for a human being, so if it is all closed then you have no directien in life whatsoever. So this would mean my third eye is open to some degree since I feel like a "compass" of God guiding me most of the time. I don't know if it's necessary to open it up any further than that unless that happens as a by-product of good living (includin some meditation and yoga of course) and just "living to my fullest". This kind of color-vision must be awesome but to practically isolate myself from this quite meaningful worldly life (includin chattin' in the Taobums) for extended periods just to experience all this bliss seems a bit "unnatural" from my point of view.. My view might change as years pass of course. Still I got to give respect to those who trod far on that path and do enjoy the scenery -
Taoist practice advice for post ejaculation fatigue symptoms?
King Kabalabhati replied to buckaroobonzai's topic in General Discussion
To respond to the original question with Ayurvedic knowledge, almond milk is considered a good tonic for building vitality after ejaculation. Just soak some almonds overnight, peel them and blend with water into a smooth milk, then drink. Just eating the soaked almonds will also do. -

I say if saving the seed makes you feel better and stronger, then do it. But everything you do should support it, what you eat, what exercise you do, what your spiritual belief, lifestyle etc. It's not only about whether you realize oneness with all. It's about keeping the energy you need for your health and not "wasting" it even if you know it all goes back into one eventually. I could not keep energy from being one with energy, whether I save seed or not. To think that you're being somehow selfish while cultivating the seed is a ridiculous idea. If I loose my seed for some reason, I just try to smile at it and myself and continue cultivating. There's no guilt involved, I know I'm still better off than before I started retention and I haven't even felt a significant loss of energy every time I've lost it (it's happened a few times, especially in the beginning). I for example just want to be able to support my wife& kids with my best health and compassion and that's what's been improving these last 7 months of cultivation and exercise. I'm getting good feedback from my queen almost daily. I feel and I know that His Majesty Qidamawi Haile Sellassie (my god and King) is rewarding me of my sexual discipline this way. When I had problems with my sexual urges that were incompatible with my life situation, I prayed for a way to heal myself and it was granted. The meditation that is involved does play a critical role, and I'm not talking about a meditation technique but a spiritual foundation that is ever-present. So especially if you feel that your sexuality is somehow out of control, or it's not pure, sexual discipline is the way to go. Whether it means celibacy, a sexual life with total retention or a couple of ejaculations a month, it's up to you. If you don't know how to cook, you can learn once you got the energy and the ingredients together and your pot is not leaking. God bless. -
Iron Shirt Chi Kung - Mantak Chia
King Kabalabhati replied to Encephalon's topic in General Discussion
Very valuable 2 cents there. The word "packing" itself sounds a bit forceful doesn't it.. It's very advisable for anyone interested in energy work to start with something pretty mellow like pranayama breathing exercises. I did those for some years, on and off, before starting with sexual kung fu and Microcosmic. Now I realize they probably made a lot of difference. -

King Kabalabhati replied to TTT's topic in General Discussion
He probably just spoke for himself Don't worry about it, it's good if you can save the seed though. Smile at the whole thing, otherwise it may turn bitter. -
Yes great exercise.. One notice though. If you're a fire type and/or experience any overheating due to improper diet, stress, climate etc. the Moon Salutation is the thing for you. This exercise helps to keep the system cool. Consult an Ayurvedic book for more information on how to determine your type and current doshic situation.

Love more, love more, love more. To help me accomplish this I shall keep on doing more Tao Yin, more Microcosmic, more sexual kung fu, more Inner Smile and I want to learn the healing sounds from a teacher so I get it right, and why not get some more advice for the other practices as well. Iron shirt sounds very interesting but I don't know if I got the time for it very soon. I want to dive deeper into Ayurveda, the science of life. Oh and finish high school, it's been hanging since -99 and I only got one math course left And if Immortality be on my path then why not, otherwise I'll just dissolve peacefully once the time comes.

Iron Shirt Chi Kung - Mantak Chia
King Kabalabhati replied to Encephalon's topic in General Discussion
I'm aware that this is a Iron Shirt thread, I'm thinking of studying it with a teacher but since you brought up problems with Chia's method of MO.. I've studied MO from the books by Chia and I "think I got it". I don't really do it by visualisation, and I haven't got the impression from the books that visualisation is the way to do it. When the chi goes up to my crown I feel a warm pressure in the crown, then I move it to my third eye and start feeling the pressure in the forehead and the sinuses, as if something was expanding them. The feeling of pressure and warmth is very clear and in accordance with what Chia writes. Similar pressure can be felt in all locations along the MO, although these spots and the perineum are the most sensitive to it. When chi passes thru the tongue/throat there's a subtle vibration in my lips, like a weak current of electricity. I've had no negative side effects and neither has my wife, who has a similar history of practice, we've both done it half a year now. In fact I simply don't understand how you could get such simple and easy instructions wrong somehow, or how you could just imagine this very clear feeling of chi flow. The instructions for storing the chi in the navel tan tien are also very clear, and the spiraling movements done with the eyes are felt distinctly as "stirring" in the navel so you know you got it right. Even though I started working with heated sexual energy quite early (also with Chia's instructions), at the same time I started MO I've still had only positive experiences, apart from a few lost loads of sperm. No more loss occurs, even night time emissions have disappeared. The key thing is I feel all this happening within my body instead of just visualising. Perhaps the simple yoga asanas like the Plow and the Shoulder Stand I did along with the practices helped open the channels. I just wanted to share this because so many people are very critical towards Chia's approach to MO and I've felt it's OK. That's not to say other methods wouldn't work. I promise you if I get negative experiences from these practices you will be among the first ones to know. Also I realise my experience with them is not very long but is quite intensive since I've taken these practices seriously and done them every single day for half a year. Somebody wrote someplace that the Iron Shit practices would be potentially harmful as taught by Chia. Anyone have such experiences? I mean, they seem much more powerful and "high pressure" when compared to MO. -
Oh, man.. I assume there's still a chance I could reach some higher spiritual grounds and not have to go through all these O's, even at a D? It sounds so mind-blowing, I would be very satisfied with just a steady good feeling and don't really feel the need for exstatic surges of sexual psychic hyper-pleasure
