This techique appears simple, involving visualisation of chi in the mouth and then swallowing audibly. I havent done it much myself yet since I'm only doing short fasts for now.
-
As I said, meditating during the fasting day can be difficult because I tend to be a bit drowsy. Also I get cold easily now that the winter chill is really biting here. The next day seems to be perfect for Qigong and meditation with higher energy levels, enhanced concentration and thus longer periods of "emptiness". Today has been exceptionally good and I will be doing about 2 hours altogether which is more than on an average day. The detox effect of fasting can be felt as a sensation similar to when you have the flu and get fever. It's hard to describe but easy to recognise. This feeling usually stays with me until wednesday afternoon even if I start eating in the morning.
-
Yeah I don't mean to compare.. The Chi swallowing technique I learned from Chunyi Lin who has also fasted in meditation for very long periods of time and this is a technique he teaches. It is far beyond my capacity to evaluate the efficiency of either of these techniques Respect.
-
Yes you can charge the water or simply swallow chi
-
I would love to, and I plan to, but lately it's been actually a bit less due to me being kind of sleepy and dozing off when sitting

There are thousands of different toxins. Once you start to detox from fasting these toxins are released from the body tissues into the bloodstream and then evacuated. I cannot tell you more accurately, this is just what I have read from books like "The Tao of Health, Sex & Longevity" by Daniel Reid.
-
Fair enough, let's be more accurate.. I'm referring to those organs that have to do with digestion and assimilation and also the ones that do the cleaning work such as the kidneys and the liver.
-
The inner organs get a chance to rest. This is the main reason. Plus there is some detoxing of tissues when fasting for more than 24 hours. Fasting is said to have benefits for those who practice Qigong and meditation. Chunyi Lin says it makes the energy run smoother in the body and also makes the body function more efficiently.

I eat at around 8 pm on monday and the next meal is breakfast on wednesday.

His book "The way of Zen" is a great read, I was introduced to it by my father-in-law

My experience nowadays is that many women that notice I have "special power", (no matter if it's not quite level 72), get reeeeally interested and want to find out more
-
This probably depends on your culture and who you are, but I find it's good to give the woman the best of (your) both worlds.. Meaning that you should be equally comfortable with being nice and polite, speaking softly about things like love and spirituality, and on the other hand being a bit rude and even profane, saying what you think very straight forward and without fear of giving a bad impression. This can escalate things quickly towards a natural and relaxed intimacy since there's no awkward sense of "holding back" involved. This comment stems from a recent (very good) experience

You know, they call me "Lucky Egg" of course in Finnish ... I even have my theme handclap!
-
Thank you! I can understand my story is appealing to a good hearted woman like you "All channels open" or "all blockages open" should be a good enough message to program into the liquid, but if you know where the problem is then it won't hurt to get more specific.
-
OK I understand. Thank you even more for this. BTW it was actually carrot juice I used, I put into it a message "all channels open", and then I remembered that foot/leg channels are often blocked in case of fever so I added "foot channels open". After my son drank the juice he soon said "daddy my feet are sparking!" , then after that "my legs feel cold but it feels good! His fever and muscle pains were gone very quickly.

Don't worry about it. You can do it to help your pet in an emergency, just don't start a vet clinic

Thanks for the reply. Heh this is starting to sound a bit like one of those "how often should I ejaculate" -threads Kidding aside, I think you're in the position where you could, or even should, question Master Lin openly about this issue if that's possible. It really seems like nothing to be taken lightly, or I think we should at least hear an explanation to why you two see this issue so differently. One more thing: I've done "message water" healing for my son and it brought down his fever immediately. Do I accumulate sick chi this way? How about long-distance healing? Sorry to bother you with all these questions, I hope to attend your workshop in the next 5 years
-
I respect your expertise on this one, Ya Mu. What I would like to know is that if I do a healing once every week or so, and do regular Qigong and emptiness meditation for an hour and a half per day or so, do you still think this sick chi will accumulate? SFQ has been practiced for about a decade in the States already, is it really causing so much problems? This question is something I would like to take to Master Lin himself, let's see if I can do it.

All the girls who have taken fancy to me (yes there's been several) have been admiring out loud my NICENESS, SENSITIVITY, INNER BEAUTY, etc... all those Yin feminine attributes that I have. Of course they don't mind my BEARD, POWERFUL ENERGY, SELF CONFIDENCE etc., all those masculine qualities that I possess. So I guess either you're just soooooo out of it or then American women are truly a different breed.
-
It's true there's no talk about sick chi, just blockages. And you turn the blockage into pieces and then into smoke with the sword fingers. When you pull it out it's smoke so it just blows into the universe. But in SFQ it's emphasized that you should connect with your Master's energy every time you do healing. This way it's not just your personal energy that's involved but the universal love energy that you're connecting to will also help you heal.
-
Great to hear you're having a good time with SFQ healing. I have been using it on my family for a year now with no negative experiences that I could connect to it. I haven't felt "bad chi" stick to my fingers, I just "shake it" away as I do the healing. I think it's important to do the daily SFQ for health practices though to make sure you're not developing blockages.

7 hours is very good, but due to my work I usually have to catch up after the weekends when I get maybe 4-5 hours a night. I think I could manage with 5-6 hours but not with the stress levels I cope with right now.
-
Heh I was just hanging out in the disco after my show last weekend and this girl comes to talk to me. Then we dance to this simple pop tune, and she says she feels like she's being lifted two feet off the ground.. Then she started to shake I give most credit for this kind of things happening to Qigong practice. As the energy, confidence and presence get stronger things really start to happen. Some women are very sensitive to the energy, and they are the fun type.

prenatal jing and chi-how to cultivate it?

AGAIN yet another interesting new viewpoint. Gotta love taobums. -
Ya Mu's Stillness Movement Neigong seems to be one of the most promising systems for high class healing, this is what I have gathered from following discussions on this board. In my own experience you can't go wrong with Spring Forest Qigong, I've had very nice healing experiences in my year (home study) of practice.
