Stillness Movement Neigong and Michael Lomax's 'Light Warrior's Guide' Book
King Kabalabhati replied to mjjbecker's topic in General Discussion
I have no experience of this particular system but in general I know from my own experience it's possible to learn powerful Qigong from books and DVD:s that can help balance the energy in the body, open blockages and bring the whole being into better harmony. One way this will manifest is better health, both mental and physical. I don't know if this will be true for everybody but it certainly happened to me and appears to have happened to many others. -

This is a powerful form of marketing indeed, since it can help people help themselves heal from depression, disease and traumas and become more aware, more loving people. -
Sounds like emotional blockage to me. You will need a process. Of course a girlfriend could be nice but do her a favor and first get balance through diet, qigong, mental breakdown, whatever it takes.

My stature is nothing to comment on, but then again I never claimed to be a teacher. Youre only getting back what you're sending out. I have no specific reason to insult you, but I felt like I want to give feedback on your post. In the other dimension known as "the real world" you might be an OK fellow and even a real Qigong Master, what do I know? Hope you find the marbles, keys, or whatever it is you're looking for. -

MAN, if Michael finds your post helpful then he does have some keys to the Universe.. secret Master language code keys I certainly didn't get anything out of it but the "lost my marbles" part. Please don't confuse Qigong mastery with mental problems, they're not the same though they may overlap. -
Yeah meditate to open the third eye, no brain surgery is required.

Are you suggesting Harry Potter is not an authentic system? -
Taoist's view on Reincarnation

OK you're well equipped to learn then I combine teachings that resonate with my personal experience, thus creating my own reality. I as a personal being will never be able to check if it was correct or not -
Taoist's view on Reincarnation

It doesn't matter at all which one of these truths you believe in. They all encourage an individual to do their best in this life. Anyway, the space of our consciousness is already connected to the universal space. So if you think your consciousness will die, you haven't realised yourself as space. This means what you thought you were will die. Karma does exist, I can see it working, and I prefer to see it as part of my creation. This means I can work with it. Life seems to me both empty and useless, beautiful and inspiring at the same time. -

I co-sign this. This winter I've had my dairy intake to a minimum and I haven't had a proper flu yet. Whenever my kids eat dairy I have to listen to them snore, cough and gurgle through the night so this is personal !!! The energy of most cheese is stagnant and congests the lungs and intestines. Fresh sheep's cheese may be ok sepecially for those with fiery digestion.

The idea may be silly but in this universe... who knows?

Soon after coming to TTB I found my current practice (SFQ). Not because it's being advertised here, it wasn't back then but because I saw no negative input on it from the users here. Anyway I'm very happy with it and I hope this forum is equally helpful for others in finding what suits them. Back then I was also going through some crisis with my self and my woman and the support and input from Freeform and many others kept me going with the process and helped understand what might be happening and how to relate in the most constructive manner. This was a very important crisis since all things in my life have gotten better since that and I even got my marriage back together, only this time it's much better since a lot of confusion and emotional problems, attachments, social programming etc. were cleared up in the good old practical Taoist way. Most of the stuff I read here contributes to my "less useful" mental chatter but occasionally I run into interesting or touching bits of information. Thank you all for sharing and much Love vibration to everyone!

Haha I thought this 12 steps was a form of Qigong Reminded me of the Seven Steps of New Life in SFQ.. I have had my share of drinking and smoking weed but now my former abuse is gone down to a more "Tao-wise" level of a beer or two in the weekends and even more random marijuana smoking.. The old craving/addiction for these things is gone, probably due to liver blockages opening. So maybe I don't have the "addict gene" but I did have a liver problem for a long time, ever since my teens. If there is any chance of substance use going out of hand it's a great idea to quit.

No. Truth is: "Only dead fish ALWAYS go with the flow" My advice: Work with the flow.

Ejaculation control for "everyone"
King Kabalabhati replied to pappamolla's topic in General Discussion
Yes it's possible to moderate. But nobody can tell you if you can do it, just experiment. -
..and more in common with the entire universe
-
No drawbacks so far.. sorry OK when I started serious Qigong it was a crisis time in my life. So for a person who has everything going good in worldly life it could be a trade-off, for me it has been a lot of relief and healing.
-
Yeah let me clarify that I personally have never experienced a cemetery as a draining place. Many offices, homes, schools and other public buildings I have for sure.
-
OK this can be true, at least it makes no sense for a practicioner to live near any such places that drain Qi unless some special effect is desired..

Practices to reduce or eliminate the influence of lust

I have understood this interplay of the gunas a bit differently. In this context rajasic could be thought of as utilitarian. Tamas would be hedonistic. Sattvic would be the perfectly balanced dynamics of both, and this I could also describe as the Taoist way. Now for a sage or a hermit this could mean celibacy or strict regulation since he is not much around women and seems to be transmuting most of his jing anyway. For a family man this could mean a deeply loving and well regulated sexual relation with his wife, with or without ejaculation control, depending on preference and natural ability. The key words here are love and mutual surrender. As soon as we start to make a problem out of spending moderate amounts of Jing (moderate would be different for each man) as semen we start to approach the rajasic pole. Things can get overheated here.. lots of sharp judgment may follow too. If we over-indulge in sexuality even when we feel it's draining our energy and distracting our attention, that would be tamasic behavior. This will simply make us foggy, out of focus, ina a haze. The balance of these two creates clarity, ease and a natural foundation for spiritual work. -
To put it in negative terms, poor Feng Shui can be very unhealthy. On the other hand, Qigong practice should help strengthen one's personal vibration to a level where poor feng shui is no longer a threat, just unpleasant.
