Practice is what gets results as well as Perfection.

I wonder if this is written by Matt Furey ? I do know that the Chinese government does not need help, nor -to the best of my knowledge- accepts help in opening schools in rural China. Simply put - Remember that +Trillion $$$ Deficit that USA has? - It is in China's pockets.

To me, Gensing is like a drug. Although others have their opinions too. - And there is a type of brandy made in China that is probably sold in Chinatowns that has a gensing root in it. It comes in 1/2 pint glass bottles.

Ambidexterity is also valued as a balanced way. I learned it from 12 years in Japanese Karate which taught using 2 superballs (or ping pong balls) - one for each hand - that are thrown to: Floor then Wall then ceiling and catch them -one with each hand. Also to increase acuracy of finger position i as well as to develop being able to freeze time & movement. Ambidexterity is also taught by learning to play a musical instrument - here is the one I began with and teaches the best system for beginners: http://www.ocarina.co.uk/ - the ceramic ones are best. Wind instruments are favored in Taoist temples as they develop breathing. I also play the harmonica, recorder and one from Charlie Hind that has become to be known as the wooden sweet potato which, once masterd, opens the door to many other musical instruments as it uses the same fingering system: One last observation from China is to practice Tai Chi in front of a full length mirror - it magnifies the Chi...

Walking backwards is a corrective action as to walk with balance is seen as to also balance the organs of the body. Here are a few pictures of the related areas of the foot to the organs. Click on this .^. one and it will become larger. I've seen people come out of the foot massage therapist office that seemed in a euphoric state of mind. I've tried a few of their methods and found that I could shut off the blood flow to areas of the body which is used to build up pressure for internal organ washing out. In the parks there are often areas where pointed but small rounded river rocks set in cement for people to walk on so as to massage their feet. One of my Chinese girlfriends was totaly facinated by the bottom of my shoes and asked me how I kept the balance. I told her I learned to walk in the mountains where if no ballance I would fall. She asked how long people in the mountains lived and I told her often to 100.

I've been doing it for about 30 years with no problem except that I really don't like the taste of superglue

Now it seems there are 2 trying to push their BS. Actually Conceptional Meditation is taught as a form of meditation in Buddhism - see: http://www.amazon.com/Concentration-Meditation-Manual-Mind-Development/dp/1862042608

I agree - Although it seems the human body is DC, in reality the electricital current form that is most dangerous to us is AC as, by being a likeness,it interrupts the body's natural rhythmic cycles - such as heartbeat. DC can cook us from the natural resistance found in, and on, the body but it only affects us on an amplitude scale. "brain as something analog" is logical.

In China it is sealed in batches and sold in open air markets from large open containers with higher grades sealed in individual serving pouches. but never refrigerated. Meditation of TEA The function of Tea in meditation escaped me until I made a trip to the Taoist temples in Beijing. Often I think of Tea as just something to buy at the supermarket. Even here in China it has been this way. I've learned to enjoy teas as here it is everywhere and it is free with dinner, meetings etc. But I did not see the lifestyle of Tea or the true meanings of the word. To make a Tea, Is to extract the essence out of something by boiling it, whereas by "boiling" it can be literally with hot water or by heated actions. Either way the essence is extracted. This is also the ancient way of making medicines for the sick. I watched an old man drink a cup of tea after work. As soon as he was served in the busy tea house, his attention focused only on the small cup resting like a dot in the center of the small round table. As he watched the steam drifting up a few inches and disappearing, it was as if the tenseness of the day was rising on the steam. I could almost see the weight lifting from his back as his shoulders and facial expression relaxed. He mildly placed both hands around his cup as if guarding it from all outsiders and softly stroked it with the tips of his fingers while teasing the steam with his breath. First, gently blowing the steam away and then inhaling the fragrant vapors into his nose. It was as if he was whispering to his mate. His face relaxed into an expression of baby-like innocence. When he sipped, it was more like a kiss as he even closed his eyes the first few times his lips touched the small cup, afterwards, he slightly opened them to follow the cup to the table. Finally when the tea was about half gone, he just held it and looked deeply in the depths as his workday passed out of his mind. It was clear that he was meditating. In the center of the capital of the worlds most populated nation where, a few blocks away, over one hundred twenty million people passed through a single train station on Chinese New Years day, he was alone with his tea as if resting by a lake high in the mountains. He was once again back to his essence, the excess baggage of the workday was gone. When leaving, he took with him the expression of innocence that had found him. I could see he had found a mindset the Chinese call "wu-wei" or going with the flow. As I looked around the room, I could see that he was not the inventor of this meditation. It seemed to be as old as Chinese tea. It was a small ceremony for meditation. The Chinese people work very hard 12 hour days. I'm sure that this little ceremony evolved from absolute necessity. ~..~ A point less frequently explored is that Tea was the beginnings of Chinese herbal medicine.

WoW Mal, you've attracted more girly types (On the net we never know ) by mooning them than I've seen since I been hanging around this place. But hey - I didn't know you were a 28 day type of guy... When I get up in the mornin I have to wait 'till it goes down 'fore I go outside or they'll arrest me. And that's every day. For them complaining about the 28 day cycle - try going into heat every day - Sometimes twice if I eat a lot of Salad - heck - sometimes Sushi even does it to me !

Nice Fox ! I shared a tent with a fox one night - I guess it thought I was less os a danger than the pack of dogs that were chasing it. Since that night the fox's of the forrest have not ran when I walk the trails. I've heard that they can smell a gun for some distance away but I think they can feel people that ain't right. Birds say hi to me too.

Bad try at dodging - to me it points toward a line of B.S. that cannot stand on its own. The Belief system is out the window with most of the other pre-15th century thought processes. You are simply being asked to justify, hopefully with reputable outsourses, your unsubstantiated claims.

Interesting you should bring up the bike point... I was actually considering coming back as a bicycle seat 4 a few daze. But for sone unknown reason I took a different view when I saw the hole picture. I still really like bikes (I prefer Raleigh Hybyrds W a skinny tire up front, a fat X tire in back and a f52 - r11 tooth gear ratio)

Thanks Mal, I think we all try to add to Sean's mind candy shop, You make a good mint as well . Back to your dead crow ... A view that Carl G. Jung (he wrote the 80 page Commentary to The Secret of the Golden Flower Willhelm/Baynes translation) had of our actions was that we 'intend' to do whatever we do/did. AKA: we make no mistakes. Illnesses are aquired conciously as well as unaquired the same way. Jung actually became a bit famous as this has become a method used in psychoanalyticalanalysis This is to say that if a person runs a red light and is killed - they did it because they were suicidal. Many of the Chinese see this way as well - So I would think there are a lot of DNR (do not resuscitate) signs hanging over hospital beds... Just maybe your crow was ready to go. Crows have minds, desires and the associated as well. Hey - some of my best friends are birds - you wouldn't believe all the stuff they tell me.

The Tao of Power gives 9 different methods of looking ar The Tao Te Ching. as well as some really good Calligraphy and illustrations. It is written by 9 different people - with varied cultural backgrounds including the Chinese arts. - And it has relations to up to date discoveries such as Right and Left brain functions. It was my mind candy for a few years as well as making a good pillow Better yet - it has been out long enough to find a way into second hand shops - lowering the price from 27$ to 9$ ... http://www.amazon.com/Tao-Power-Leadership-Excellence-translation/dp/0385196377 The author is given as R.L. Wing... but I think you know what that means... One thing to watch out for is that for some reason they won't let it on airplanes

At 88 years old, my grandmother said, "the sound was lonliness". I asked her why - she said it was the sound one child made when looking for another. She had 12 children.
