Obviously I cannot say what it will do for others but it has worked for me - for about 10 years. The Theory: Making an enzyme rich juice that helps to rebuild our immune system through replacing the enzyme depleation of the Pancreas. Our society is an almost 100% cooked food society. Temperatures above 105 F' destroy enzymes For millions of years we have eaten food raw. Cooking foods destroys the enzymes. Our body does not manufacture enzymes. We must get them in our food. The rules: The # 1 rule is no heat above 100'F (55' C) The # 2 rule is Be careful eating the beans like a salad as an unsprouted bean can break a tooth... The process: Using Mung Beans Making a juice extract by sprouting (1/4 to 1/2 of a cup) of the seeds so that they have a root emerging no more than 1/8 inch. It takes about 24 hours to sprout the seeds in the summer. The process: I cover them in tap water for about 4 hours & then pour the water away, let them dry for a few hours & cover them with tap water again and repeat the process untill they sprout.untill they have a root emerging no more than 1/8 inch. Then put them in a blender with about 3 times as much cold distilled water as seeds. Blend them with the cold water so that the seeds become like a powder and the water becomes green. Strain the blended seeds & water through a stainless steel wire type filtering seive that you can find at grocery stores & drink the juice while it is fresh. Throw away the grounds. To build up your enzyme bank in your pancreas, you will need to do this every 2 or 3 days for a month or 2. Then about once a week. Even if I begin feeling a little sick, if I drink the juice, the illness does not develop. I keep some of the semi sprouted beans in the refridgerator most of the time & snack on them - but the juice extract is what really works. Be careful eating the beans like a salad as an unsprouted bean can break a tooth... The juice also acts as a catalyst for the endocrine system to bring hormones into balance. Y, I use a CPU meter to know when my computer is having trouble with a web page program. L1, I came here in 1997 for a 6 month visit... In studying Chinese - think this: Chinese is based on drawn images of objects found in reality and their relationship to each other. English is based on sounds where as our mother and dictionaries taught us what they ment - through the belief system. Here is the Chinese character for 'Patience' which is also used for 'Tolerance' 忍 it is a picture of two swords suspended over a heart. It is supposed to give you the thought: If you had two swords suspended over your heart - would it teach you 'Tolerance' ? The entire time that I've been here - I've not been bored A good news is thet if you get your teaching certificate - as a native English speaker - you can come here and teach... Hi, L1 I'm in Hong Kong for over 10 years. I think that TianhuaQigong, who has also replied to this subject, is from China and speaks the language. I am from USA. A website that has the first lesson learned in Chinese schools - translated in English - side by side with the Chinese: http://tsoidug.org/dizigui_trans_simp.php Written Chinese is essentially the same throughout China -only dialects are different - Although - There are two 'main' types of written Chinese - Traditional and Simplified - Simplified was done by Mao Tse Tung and is very close to Traditional but created to eliminate some of the repetitive characters formed since Huang Di did it last, over 2,000 years ago. Simplified is used throughout mainland China in newspapers etc. Traditional is for largely those studying history, philosophy, culture etc. To begin learning to speak it - I suggest you get the Collins Mandarin Phrase book with CD isbn 978-0-00-724681-6 as it will teach your ear what to listen for. The CD is simple with English spoken first and Putongwa second. Mandarin and Putongwa are the same - I use sleep learning techniques where I play the CD day and night. Chinese call their language Putongwa. I've only seen foreigners call it Mandarin. The Chinese say to learn it, do it like a baby does by learning to speak it first. I can speak a little Cantonese - (Much more Difficult than Putongwa - with 9 tones compared to the 4 tones of Putongwa) but so far I haven't been able to make the connection between speaking it and writing it. Chinese Calligraphy is an art that will teach you how to draw with a brush. There is even a felt tip pen used here that has a tip like a brush... The study of the language really is enjoyable - although - it helps to be here. Which, is where the CD comes in handy.
