  1. Why I am against 'powers'

Personal evolution is the fulcrum of practice. If the Amoeba had decided not to split into two, we would have remained at the monocelular level forever.

The military mindset is that it is OK and all else is not OK - it is a mindset of War. The philosophy of China is based on balance and harmony: not War. China sees you as OK and itself as OK untill you prove differently. I've watched the military come to Hong Kong - they leave the ships in little groups and never leave their security blanket. Almost all of my time in China and Hong Kong, I have been the only foreigner in a 35 floor apartment building 8 families per floor. The exceptions are when I spent 2 years living in a house next to the temple, and monestary, of 10,000 Buddhas in Sha Tin so as to learn from example. During that time I became good friends with the caretaker of the Taoist temple at the top of the mountain and was invited to the celebration of ancestors - their most sacred day of thanks to their ancestors. There was also the 2 years I spent in Kowloon City living with the new immigrants from mainland China as I studied their family and social structure. I was the only foreigner there. Including myself, there were 8 families on my floor that each had one room for sleeping. We all shared the same kitchen and toilet. I had the only phone. All the families had children. At night we would play soccer with an empty 2 liter pepsi bottle in the hallway between the bedrooms. The Brits built the airport so that, to land, planes had to fly about 50 meters over the rooftops of Kowloon City. I landed there in 1997 in one of the last flights to the airport in the folowing video. Here is a video of where I lived: Needless to say, Rent was cheap, experience was tremendous. When the Chinese took over, they closed the airport down and built a world class state of the art airport I return to USA to work when I need $ which is about every 2 years. If you want to learn the Tao, you got to walk and talk with the people that have lived it for over 2,000 years.

Hmmmm - how can it intended to be offending? I'm just an ordinary guy writing a letter to a cute Fish and a Peace & Love marblehead (is you a hard statue?) But... I do reserve the right to dissagree. Taoists have long been the most analytical of people on the globe. These guys actually invented: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Chinese_inventions Hey! I'm writing but look who's reading it Joking aside - to do even a little R&D into the customs & traditions of a nation 25% to 50% of the way around the earth from home - we got to have open minds to changes, of all types, not seen at home. The ancient painting of Bamboo in the Snow illustrates the skill of flexability needed for survival. Using it, Bamboo survives where other plants die. I was born and lived untill 17 in the Appalachian mountains where a large religion is snake dancing to prove god loves you so much the snake will not bite. (If they did, then the devil wanted you anyway... Here's a whole slew of URLS on it: http://www.google.com.au/#hl=en&safe=off&ei=i0jHS9KdItCHkQWQ3a20CQ&sa=X&oi=spellfullpage&resnum=0&ct=result&cd=2&ved=0CAYQvwUoAQ&q=Appalachian+mountains+where+a+large+religion+is+snake+dancing&spell=1&fp=18a51b3ed23f0245 Sex is normal.

Yes: A class or grouping of students in a school (form 7) that is final year before entering University in Hong Kong style school system. Western comparison to 2nd year university or above. Your ethics & morals are Confucian AKA Chinese style.

So many dreams - So many Schemes - the only one that works is what works: practice, practice, practice what the masters have written - not what you think or hope they have written.
  8. Isolation Tank

Without the background mental training, time invested and the work - all the gizmos are just that - a gizmo. Your worst enemy is yourself.

The moon is only the beginning - where if no beginning - there can be no other. As for the other points - they are largely dependent upon social norms. To bypass the last point, doubts, etc - I teach my g/f(s) how to become what she wishes- most choose teaching- giving her freedom and gaining me, trust. Not as simple as it sounds - in China there was the Cultural Revolution where most of the educators were done away with. -So not many were left to give students what is needed at university level or at the professional level. Example: A few years back my best friend asked me how to win against a gossiping teacher that both she and the gossip had been called into a meeting by the board of directors to solve an ongoing and growing problem in the school. I asked her if the board of directors were all men - she said "yes" - I told her 2 words- don't cry. She asked me 'Why' - I told her the men will see it as an effort to manipulate -thus pointing out the guilty as one that could not stand on personal actions. She did not cry, the other did - she is now head of her department. The only condition that holds some back is an inability to take what is needed in life for family. As it is a very powerful motivational factor my main concern then becomes her concept of failure as it can have devistating results. To date - I have no falures - largely from Hong Kong having many levels of teachers, private as well as public schools which, results in many avenues for education AKA: teachers employment. I keep an eye out for unrealistic desires. Why so many G/F's ? I am a traveler - Chinese girls are moma babies - Although - I find that each time I leave, there is always a door open for me to return. My purpose in life? To Evolve, To Become ready for the next. If creativity and destruction are 2 sides of same sword:

Then again -from a man's point of view - Sex is a really good beginning - it kinda gets all the details out of the way so that the reality can be more easily seen. OOPS ! Get out the pipes guys - the smoking lamp has been lit & the Furry Freak Bros is knocking on the door One other point^: all those healthy girls that poped their ovaries on the full moon (Lunar 15 was 2 weeks back ) are now at the dark side of the moon [i think there is a song somewhere in there. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XilgPtj31co&feature=related ](Lunar 2 ) and spotting on the carpet during the dark. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QmjS37zDbPY Wow - how many symbols of Change were in those videos? WA! Noi Hoi Mean Pink Floyd! Finaly - one for the girls we all love - that live only for family: titled "Ragged Tiger" but you may know it as: "Shine On You Crazy Diamond"
  11. Tao men attracting women.

You need to get this book: - The Author MUST be: Maoshing Ni http://search.barnesandnoble.com/The-Yellow-Emperors-Classic-of-Medicine/Maoshing-Ni/e/9781570620805 It will tie the seasons, planets, body parts & timing together. Forget western medicine & thinking. Work only with what you can find in the book. Learn to reason with it. As far as the cheat thing you posted about... Think this: men get horny every day. Females get horny once a month - when it happens they take the first that pops up. Survival of the species... Remember? Where I am it is 2 in the morning - I sleep Now.
  12. Tao men attracting women.

You ask questions - this is the beginning of all true education. And it seems that you have educated yourself to a mountain top. Tao is largely about the timings of the universe. With your own words: "biology/evolution is survival and replication" Combine 'timings of the universe' with 'replication' & u got your answer. To simplify - a woman is more receptive to the male before they ovulate - which, in a healthy girl it begins with the Chinese 'Lunar' calendar 15th (Full Moon)to the Chinese 'Lunar' calendar 22. - For older - it moves later in the month. Chinese figured this out long ago and began their studies around universal timings. Nowdays Chinese medicine, seasonal celebrations, weddings, etc all revolve around the sun, moon and planets: (pick up a copy of 'The Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine') Welcome to the Tao.

  14. Using Melatonin To Help Induce Deep Trance

The only possible associated risks/side effects/dangers of frequently using melatonin that I am aware of is that it can disrupt a person's sleep cycle. Although - I use it when I fly- to sleep the flight away, when I catch a cold -so as to sleep the cold away, and whenever I feel like it - for about 3 years - with no poblems.
  15. Using Melatonin To Help Induce Deep Trance

M.P.G.,,, I have learned to mentaly give myself a brain massage - much like stretching when waking from sleep and then mentaly relaxing all muscles - which seems to release melatonin. It is a lot like mentaly making wrinkles on my forehead - only it happens on portions of my brain - usually the center right to left area. I have also taught myself to be simultaneously ambidexterous including with different timing (Piano and Karate practice), and wiggle my ears. The begining of ambidextrerity is tossing 2 super balls or ping pong balls against the wall simultaneously and when expertise is found with both hand - try it on a corner wall and then on ceiling, to R. wall to L. wall and catch with opposite hands. The above are the beginning exercises for aquiring R & L Brain Lobe communication and use. It sounds simplistic but is the key function needed for creative building & mechanics. When I learned it, I began seeing designs in the grain of driftwood - some were animal shapes, some were faces. One day I picked up a flat head screwdriver and carved 4 faces and a Seal (the kind that eats fish) out of 5 different peices of wood. The faces were named: Wind, Sea, Sun and Earth. The next step, the meditation that teaches conceptionalization techniques, is found here: Christmas Humphreys - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christmas_Humphreys - wrote a book: Concentration and Meditation: Manual of Mind Development that has a few Buddhist practices that includes conceptionalization techniques, based in meditation, as well as others. The trick with meditation, is to meditate in deep trance AND remain awake and focused. <= this is where the red dot meditation comes in - AND it is where astral projection begins.
  16. The thinking must be that if you all will believe in them, then you all will believe in them having weapons to keep all you fools in line. Hey - it works for the catholicks - they get to bugger all the little alter boys they want and no one even thinks of jail time for them let alone the sexual preditor list. You want a deep answer for this? Try churching it - you'll get a deep one
  17. Getting to full lotus

The trick - in the book by the Japanese author who is the head monk in a Buddhist monestary - where they teach meditation to beginners for 8 hours per day, 3 days a week - is the Zafu and Zabuton: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zafu I was not familiar with yantra yoga so I searched - here is a video that I found: http://yantrayoga.org/ I live in Hong Kong where I have studied Asian culture, philosophy and meditation for a little over 10 years. As far as Tibet, I've researched its history back for about 700 years to find that almost all of the culture & philosophy, in Tibet, came from either India or China. What is in Tibet now is largely 'marketing for tourism' of which tourism is the main income. The monks are not like buddhist monks -or monks from a religion - they are the nobles of a feudal society who are the only ones allowed to own land. The situation there is largely this: http://library.thinkquest.org/10949/fief/lofeudal.html Although it is changing . . . slowly. On Yoga, To make a long story short, I would bypass Tibet and study more from India and China. India is where it developed - China is where it is evolving.
  18. Getting to full lotus

I did it many years ago by practicing the best full lotus I could get into and then grabing a knee and pulling my body toward it and then changing knees. As far as meditation goes, my best meditation has been on park benches, bus rides and in the AM after sleeping. The best overall Yogic exercise for developmental meditation is by far the Savasana - here is the exercise: http://www.thetaobums.com/index.php?/topic/11802-awakening-psychic-abilities/ The best exercise for aligning our body, clearing our electrical system and practicing meditation - using the full lotus can be found in a book called The Five Tibetans that is partially explained here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Five_Tibetan_Rites but is far better explained in the 85 page, with 10 full page pictures with large print book. My day is to practice the Savasana at night, T5T (The Five Tibetans) in the morning and others as time, place, location and mood present themselves. A booklet on how meditation is practised in Zen monasteries - Opening the Hand of Thought, Revised and Expanded Edition: Foundations of Zen Buddhist Practice (Paperback) ~ Kosho Uchiyama Roshi Here's another page on the Zafu: http://www.enabling.org/ia/vipassana/Archive/Z/zafuSewingInstructions.html The Zafu raises your rear slightly to make the full lotus a bit more comfortable...
