As Kunlun instructors in the Bay Area are mostly not teaching or are bad assed, would any of the Bums in the San Francisco Bay area recommend any Qigong teachers to train with? South Bay would be great but any place in the bay area is good. Thank you all for the kindness.

Thanks guys, keep it coming. I have trained with folks on and off. But after talking to Scotty the other day offline, I kinda thought it is better to spend some extended period with a teacher and learn and assimilate what I have been learning for the last decade and a half. Thanks again, some very good recommendations here, I will spend time checking them out ... ...

Totally, I am not a world renowned Psychic/Mystic/Nurse/Healer/Teacher ala Shaktimama but trying to look at Taomeow's energy shows me a slender, long golden dragon. Never seen that before with anyone. She does seem to be one helluva lady. If you dont mind, Taomeow, you may perhaps share why I see this golden dragon in you?

She's great ..... knows her stuff! Is she writing a book? Taomeow, keep us updated plssss

I just have two tracks on my ipod from long time ago. Both are guided meditations. No music. If I remember right, I think I ripped just the guided meditation tracks and skipped the music-only ones. Is this what you're looking at? This one's a breathing practice. Check out the preview for the very first track here... http://www.amazon.com/Tai-Chi-Meditation-Force-Breathing/dp/B0028P4WHW

I know that KAP and SFQ get thrown around alot here but if they actually help people then what's the problem? This thread has and is still about JAJ so I dont personally see the problem. Sorry, NOT the same. Drew Hempel may get on nerves talking about SFQ but he is not promoting himself or his business. Yeah, he, you can say is trying to promote something that he found useful and in doing that, is doing himself no favor. Shaktimama is selling a product here. She is promoting herself. The difference is here to see and the only reason one can miss that would be if he wants to! And it is the sick way she does it is what really irritates. Common, when you are selling a product, you need to have some code of conduct! Though the thread is about JAJ, what is her elaborate prelude building up to conclude? KAP is better and I and Santi can beat the crap of JAJ, and everyone else. THAT is what I have an issue with. She could have shared what she wanted to and left it there. But look at other threads, the two do the same everywhere. If some people found her useful, let that be, there are others here who find her constant spamming equally obnoxious.

Thank you! I thought I was the single soul in this huge forum who was put off by this lady's antics.

For a nurse you are one proud Nurse! I don't care for your true knowledge, list of names you throw or for abilities you and your friend claim. I have read many of your old posts and have not found anything useful. Pages and pages of - I can Santi can do this, I and Santi can do that etc. etc. Cheesier than a bad door to door salesman. If you want to do it, do it in that damned thread like you have been doing. There were some bad reviews on the KAP thread and the ones who wrote them were kicked out from here I guess? Back to my question - Why do you have to crap on every thread? Physic powers thread is one example. Can't you create a big thread, call it Shaktimama's shameless advertising (SSA) and write all your heroics there? If you can shamelessly and endlessly sell yourself and your accomplice in every thread, I can express my irritation in at least a couple, can't I? This is a public forum after all lol! Get a life Shaktimama. You seem to be living in some fantasy land that has nothing to do with true spirituality. But that's your problem, your KAP-crapping on every thread - that's my problem as well.

That's what I said as well ...

Sounds like Kundalini? Mind sharing what your current practice is? -
Five Element Tao, Thank you for this awesome post. I am trying to work out a routine based on Max's Kunlun book. Not really into fighting spirits or anyone for that matter, would would still benefit from your advice. Here's what I get from your post: 1. Mornings: Five Element and Golden Flower 2. At Noon: Practice Any Qigong. Here is where I have my silly doubts. I apologize for the silly queries right here. What works with Kunlun? Spring Forest and Falun Gong? Sometimes I also do Frangrance Qigong and Five elements. How about Kundalini yoga and chanting mantras? When you say don't mix, does it mean absolutely don't mix or its okay to do them at different times? 3. When do you do actual Kunlun here? And also Red Phoenix? Nights, morning, any preferred times? 4. I Jong and Traveling hands are two other things in the book (Red Sun seems a little too intense for me). Would you recommend these as well? Thank you Mike

Hey Jack, Thanks man, but I already have learnt Tai Chi and currently practice SFQ and a bit of Falun as well. I don't want to learn Tai chi or Qigong out of compulsion from them. If I needed to, I would go to a better Tai Chi teacher. I just want to learn Kunlun and RP and nothing else But these guys insist on doing things their way and seem like real control freaks. I am so damn frustrated with this whole Kunlun instructors attitude. But Max never mentions of the need for other stuff with Kunlun, may be helpful but not necessary is the feeling I get from reading some old Mantra posts. And attend weekly classes for a couple months before they *decide* they want to teach Kunlun 1? And RP after an year? Note that they didn't do any energy evaluation or something, just based off of emails. I heard from another one a while ago and same story - he will prepare me with Tai Chi, Qigong and some other system of Qigong this guy learnt in Russia, which has nothing to do with Max's stuff. So, can the instructors decide what they can add to the practice, how and stuff? No place to simply learn Max's stuff? I don't believe reading anywhere on Kunlun site that you need a certain months of preparation before learning Kunlun 1 or RP? Winpro, the ones I contacted are the ones listed on Primordial Alchemist site

I have the Kunlun book but would like to learn from a facilitator and receive transmission as well as instruction into Red Phoenix. I live in San Francisco and have been emailing instructors in my area for the last two months - there are a bunch of them. Firstly, I got a response from only two. From other online forums and meet up groups, I see that others have had similar luck. The one person who responded said he would offer a workshop next August. The other person will teach Kunlun 1 only if I also learn Tai Chi and Qigong every week from him and I don't really care for that for I have trained with some good teachers and it is only Kunlun I am interested in. He also says he cannot teach Red Phoenix till a year or two after Kunlun 1 but from what I understand, Max taught Kunlun 1 and RP together? From the book and Kunlun website, Lama Dorje states that Kunlun is a standalone practice but his instructors insist on learning Tai Chi and other Qigong? That really confuses me. Kan San is offering a workshop sometime in LA I am told but can't travel at this time. Someone also spoke of Jenny but I want to learn not Yi Gong but Kunlun and more importantly RP. So it seems Kunlun teachers don't teach Kunlun+RP over a day or in three day's like Lama Dorje or Jenny? It now seems to be spread across months requiring weekly classes? The instructors I spoke to insist that is how it is to be taught. Can someone help me here if there is other ways to learn without needing a long term weekly class schedule?

Hi Forum, I have been butting into other threads so thought it's better to start a new thread. Let me first thank Taomeow, Scotty and Five Element Tao for the patient answers on other threads. I have been considering Spring Forest Qigong, Falun Gong and Kunlun. I want to devote time to one of these practices and stick with it for a while. I know there is probably nothing which is a "complete" practice but would want to find something close. My goals would be physical health, mental peace, MCO/Kundalini and enlightenment at some point Falun Gong Pros: - Easily available, easy to learn, free - Seems to be a powerful Qigong system. Cons: - Not much focus on the Qigong alone. - Complete system has Qigong as a very small part and stress is on other stuff, weird stuff. - Incompatible with other practices but Falun Qigong in itself is not a complete system. Spring Forest Qigong Pros: - Easy to learn, inexpensive (download from torrents) - Seems to work well for health Cons: - Not a full system of alchemy and only for health benefits? (Chunyi and Michael Winn both say this) Kunlun Pros: - Easy to learn, book is pretty good and well illustrated. - Kunlun knowers share help here. Cons: - Results seem to be not as good without transmission. - After 2.5 weeks, not much but a little shaking of legs. - Reading Tao Bums old posts (have read non-stop for last 3 days) does not help to understand if Kunlun 1, 2 and 3 are complete systems. Some posters said no one knows the higher levels. Some say Red Phoenix is needed and that is not in the book (I think, right?). Someone said extra mudra is needed to balance Kunlun but teacher did not permit it to be shared. So I am confused. Thanks for reading through my woosh boosh. Any help is appreciated.

Amen, such preaching adds no value but only garbage repeated every now and then on this thread. There's lot of good info in spite of the bickering on this thread and Jackass with his attempt to sound "cool" is instead sounding puky. Anyhoo, its much more fun if ppl spoke when they had something real to say. Thank you Creation, cant agree more with you. Jack, shut up for a bit, will ya plsss...pretty pls...

JK, Thanks but no thanks. This is not something that is not already written all over the internet and I don't care much for the political aspects. Not really relavent to my query. But thanks anyway. I searched for Kunlun and came across this - http://www.aypsite.org/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3314&whichpage=9#61328 I experienced deep healing from Ramana a few years ago. Some interesting things about Kunlun's teacher. Kunlun seems too controversial at this point to be investing any time. I will settle for Spring forest for now

Mal, I am so confused. I can't even decide if I am drawn to any of these? To understand that, I have been practicing all the three for the last few weeks and still no sign -

As I contemplate to choose one between Falun, Spring Forest and Kunlun (Scotty, thank you for the really helpful advice here), stuff like below make me cringe taking to Falun. This is on their official site. The qigong does seem powerful but this! The Falun Dafa group seems to have very very less focus on the qigong or cultivation part and more on other stuff. Any one knows anything about the origin of these Qigong exercises? I have read some association with Wang Liping, but not too sure there.
