Well, I'd recommend reading a lot along with watching, I started, but then wasn't really bothered to learn the language properly since I'd never really need it. I gathered some sources I'll share with you: My favorite, best website I found, its verbs section was great! I never went all the way through, but I imagine all its sections are just as good 5* Just plain text, but thats the best way to start making sense of how the language works. http://www.timwerx.net/home/index.htm (Language on lower left) This is great for when you need a kanji you see on a picture and have no way of copy paste to google it or use a translator. *Slight Spoiler!* I watched it, enjoyed it for the most part, but the end of the tournament, the last move he does I found disappointing because it just didn't fit in with the rest of the kung fu in the movie. But well I guess they wanted a flashy ending. Also the jacket on off thing, I just don't think that would teach him skills he could readily apply, as he did, like wax on wax off and paint the fence from Karate kid. I enjoyed THE KUNG FU KID, Just some small picky complaints, but nothing movie breaking

Yeah sure ok.... BUT let us assume what therion says is true, then why bother with secrecy over the methods? I mean you can make them all public, since no matter what happens, unless a student is what the lineage is looking for he wont get anywhere really. Doesn't make sense. Thanks again for taking the time and helping out Ape your effort is appreciated. But Man 1 hour horse stance sounds tough, but I'll try and get there over the next few weeks. Might be easier now than before, been doing some jogging on and off recently, and it can be seem impossible to run a certain distance when you start, but once you just get going and dont think about it before you know it you're there. I guess thats all from me for now, at least until I have that hour down.

@vortex yeah thats the kinda thing I thought might come up, isn't the world tired of wars though.... seriously in school whilst doing history class it was war after war after war..... I wish we could've had more pleasant history to study. Just thinking of the poor kids studying our time 50 years from now makes me sad, because chances are they'll be studying the current wars and the new ones likely to come.
