My discoveries (LoneMan Pai & Xiao Yao Pai)
effilang replied to SaiyaMan's topic in Daoist Discussion
Actually, Dao Yin Shu focuses on complete unification, so refinement within the physical vessel is continuous. It ceases when there are no more negative aspects left to revise; then only Yang Shen remains. When we practise Dao Yin Shu, we are always in a gradual process of transformation from Yin Shen to Yang Shen. When there is adequate "unification" of all constituent elements; the Yang spirit can exit the body to continue refinement on a higher level. This takes more time, on the other hand, Yin Shen and awareness projection is often achieved by Dao Yu in the early stages. I know of cases where it happens on the first day after Dao Ying (Initiation). Fundamentally, achievement is endless - such that it reflects the ultimateness of the Dao. However within specific dimentions there are barriers which must be transcended. So there is a form of conceptual segregation on a microscopic level and uninterrupted perpetuity on a macroscopic ontological level - Taiji and Wuji. Maybe you didn't clean your ears - Or maybe it was my bad music in the background? : ) Every Hu Fa Shen has the ability to manifest countless transformation bodies. Each independently conscious as an aspect of the unified source soul, in the form of a Xian Shen or a Tian Shen - depending on what type of HFS was assigned to you. For example, Er Lang Shen is registered through Tai Shang Lao Jun as an authorised Hu Fa Shen of the Celestial branch of Xiao Yao Pai and our clan Tai Shang Men (The Supreme Gate). He instructs many, many, many Dao Yu here on earth as well as in other dimensions. As a simple example, during his ceremonial observance, when a Dao Yu lights incense and invites Er Lang Shen to guide them in a session of Dao Yin Shu, so does the whole school of 140,000 Dao Yu. All at a similliar time on that particular day; and he leads them all simultaneously. Space and Time are not an obstacle in Wuji and even if Hu Fa Shen needs to vibrate down to synchronize with Jing, Qi and Shen in Taiji, in order to interact with your awareness, in case yours isn't yet tuned finely enough to voluntarily exit Taiji and enter Wuji; well, they have more than enough merit (Gong De) to do so. They do it all the time. So, to clarify. Yes, Tai Shang Lao Jun, assigns a Hu Fa Shen to each student. They are independent entities. My Hu Fa Shen was my master from one of my former lives when I lived in China as a poor man. I guess someone likes my bad jokes, because he must have volunteered. The lower self or the acquired mind which forms after birth is not the Soul or it's Yuan Shen projection. Yes it is possible for Yang Shen to project its consciousness, but in XYP your implication would lead to a redundancy error, because what you're describing ie: the interaction of a higher-self with a lower-self - is simply the default configuration of a human. You cannot "assume" or be another soul, but you can share in its phenomenal experience. None of this should be of surprise. Just because in XYP we don't name our movements something flamboyant like "The Tesla Coiler" or "The Spirit Qi Pump" - it doesn't detract from the basis of all movement; the physical and subtle body. Let me clarify myself, while I clarify myself :> What I mean to say is that the physical limbs and torso are limited by the mechanical maneuverability and mobility of the joints. The electromagnetic channel network of the meridians is also pretty much the same in everyone, almost all the time, with the exception of... well, that doesn't matter now. If you move your hand up you will stimulate meridians A B and C if you move it down, meridian J, if you rotate it, push it, tense it, lift it, drop it, swing it - it will stimulate your subtle body in different ways. The body is used to choreograph these complicated symphonies, assuming the role of proxy to the manipulation of the underlying subtle energy within. Life is very mysterious and very interesting : ) Xiao Yao Pai doesn't compete with any system or school. We just want to facillitate the process of cultivation for others by providing support. If someone wishes to fully follow the path of Xian Tian Dao Yin Shu and make this their primary practice, it is fine. If they wish to practice in combination with something else, usually it's also fine, unless XTDYS has already been the main practice for a long time, in which case it's advisable to stay onboard with both feet as there are many things at the later stages that we do differently to other schools. Either way your HFS sees and knows everything you think, do, feel, wish, dream and fear, so you can't run or hide, haha. He/She is always there to help if you care enough to nurture your relationship. At the end of the day, they don't owe you anything and you don't owe them anything. This is freedom. -
Xiao Yao Pai & Xiantian Dao Yin Shu - [OFFICIAL THREAD]

Warm greetings everyone. I hope you are keeping well. On behalf of the Tai Shang Men Xiao Yao Pai school of Spiritual Daoism and courtesy of the Indonesian Daoist Association, I'd like to inform you of our upcoming Daoist Initiation Event; to be held in Virginia, US and London, UK on the 29th and 30th of October and 5th and 6th of November 2016, respectively. It will be a two-day event with the purpose of sharing the ancient art of Xian Tian Dao Yin Shu (The Divine Guidance Art); a precursor to modern day Qigong, Taiji and Houtian Neidan (Internal Alchemy). There will also be lectures on Daoist exercises, Physiognomy, Palm Reading and Feng Shui. Xian Tian Dao Yin Shu is considered to be one of the oldest known Chinese systems of spiritual cultivation with roots dating back to the Yellow Emperor of China: Huangdi - and his legendary master; the Kong Tong mountain hermit, Guangzhengzi. For nearly 5000 years our school has preserved the ancient art and disseminated its teachings to those ready to embark on the journey of their self-discovery. Why would you want to learn Xian Tian Dao Yin Shu instead of the many other systems of spiritual development available today? Dao Yin Shu is uniquely different to other methods. This is primarily due to its inheritance of one of the first methods of Daoist transmission, which was used to pass information down from the spiritual master to the student in a direct line of communication. To help you understand why and how this is important and to comprehend the differences between the styles of Daoist cultivation practiced today and how they were practiced in the past, I'll need to give you a little background: There are basically two forms of Dao Yin (Daoist Yoga) that exist today which encompasses the full breadth of Daoist cultivation. The two methods can be distinguished by their prefix. The parent art is called Xiantian Dao Yin Shu, while the child is referred to as Houtian Dao Yin Shu. If you look up the word Dao Yin (導引) today, you will find a description that states its meaning as "guiding" and "stretching". Here the limbs of the practitioner are stretched in varying directions and movements to create forms, like those we see in Qigong and Taiji. The aim being in cultivating and guiding the body's electromagnetic energy along the network of meridian channels that run throughout the body, so that the physical matter (Jing), subtle energy (Qi) and heart-mind (Shen) can be invigorated and strengthened. This method of Dao Yin is considered Houtian or Post Heavenly Cultivation; and it does not retain the root of the ancient art. While on its own, the practice of cultivating and manipulating the body's internal energy has been well established for millennia, even in other disciplines such as Hindu Yoga. Here the words "guiding" and "stretching" have been severely misinterpreted on account of a lack of information. The parent art of Dao Yin Shu that comes before the modern Houtian idea of "guiding" and "stretching" the limbs, defines Dao Yin in a very different way. This particular form is classified as Xian Tian or Pre Heavenly Cultivation - and the term "Yin" is actually denoted here as "guidance" (of a teacher) as opposed to "guiding" (of the limbs and energy). The reason for this remarkable difference can be found in the way the teachings of the school were passed on and more importantly, "who" did the passing. Unlike Houtian Dao Yin Shu, the practitioners of the progenitor form of Xiantian Dao Yin Shu could receive the school's complete curriculum only after they partook in a spiritual initiation ceremony, where they were initiated by an authorised Daoist master of the highest order. During this event, the master would activate the disciples higher mind (Yuan Shen), catalysing their ability to perceive information beyond the range of their natural senses. In this state of supernatural perception. The master could officially connect the disciple to the Celestial branch of their lineage, where the practitioner could be taken under apprenticeship by a registered Daoist immortal (Xian Shen). Under the official duty of a guide to an authorised school, the Daoist immortals were referred to as Hu Fa Shen. Their sole purpose in this role being to instruct the disciple on the path of spiritual cultivation; giving them advice and guidance to ensure that the delicate internal transformations of the subtle body are nurtured and developed to a reliable standard in accord with the great Dao. In this way the student could rest assured that the knowledge and wisdom received was from a being who had already fully walked the path. With that clarification, I hope that now you can understand the original meaning of the "Yin" in the phrase "Dao Yin". It is the "guidance" of a realised ascended teacher and not the "guiding" of energy in the meridians. The many forms of Dao Yin Shu which have proliferated in Daoist culture today and are the basis for the teachings of most Daoist schools; have lost this ancient root and the privilege of a direct transmission in the old art of the Dao. As a result of this, if you wish to learn about Neidan and Dao Yin today, you must physically visit a teacher and have them transmit their experience to you in person. The downside to this is that we usually have to pay some form of monthly fee and we are always limited by the teacher's experience, unable ourselves to verify the authenticity of their knowledge until we have applied it to our own bodies and often yielded unfavorable results, sometimes detrimental to our health and wellbeing. After all, they are also just learning. Contrary to this, when someone inherits Xian Tian Dao Yin Shu through a spiritual initiation; their assigned Hu Fa Shen will be there to guide them indefinitely. You needn't travel to class daily or pay a monthly fee. Every disciple can connect to their Hu Fa Shen anytime, anywhere and journey on the path of their cultivation of the Dao. If you've always wanted to learn directly from a realised teacher, we offer you to join us on this revelation of a most mysterious and illuminating dimension of phenomenal experience. It is a journey unlike any other and I'm honored to be able to facilitate the treasure of the old arts to all those interested. To learn more about the ancient art of Xian Tian Dao Yin Shu; feel free to read this article, which goes into more detail about our school, Dao Yin Shu, Spiritual Initiaiton and more: www.spiritualdaoism.com/dao-yin-shu You can read Testimonials from initiated practitioners here: http://www.spiritualdaoism.com/testimonials- 242 replies

Hello everyone. I'd like to share some new testimonials from initiated Dao Yu who are practising with their Fu Fa Shen (HFS|护法神).

Hello Bottoms of all shapes and sizes, I wanted to share a healing experience with you guys. Someone i met over 10 years ago in my early teenage years when i got into Qi Gong, recently contacted me via e-mail, which in all honesty was somewhat surprising. It always is when someone you haven't heard of or seen for that long just contacts you. Either way, it turns out his cultivation has gotten to the point where he can do distance healing, i suppose that would mean his third eye is opened at the least? Said he had a website. So i'm like oh no, here we go. Another one. But here's where it got to me. Just over e-mail he was able to tell me exactly where i had blockages, and honestly it was pretty amazing, because he was spot on. He pointed out everything i already knew, like i just told him or something. The site is currently being promoted so he offered to heal me for free so i figured why not : ) Either way, he did a half hour healing session on me first, but i asked him for more, so he did a 12 hour session. Whenever he tuned in to me, i could feel a shower of energy. It felt like a slow flowing stream of cool sparkling water was flowing down my head through my body and into the ground. Either way, to make a short story shorter, the blockage i had in my throat is diminished considerably. Normally when i fall into deep concentration my throat will light up and i will feel great discomfort there as the energy worked. The feeling of pain has been getting less and less as i've meditated, but the effect after the healing was far more prominent. Also i have irregular heart beats and anxiety. I feel like the anxiety is almost gone, situations which would ordinarily freak me out now i'm mellow as a jelly and my heart rhythm seems to have changed almost entirely over night, i don't get those crazy skipping beats anymore and when i am doing something that is STRESSFUL on a psychological level i cope with it with absolute ease now. I know this sounds NORMAL to someone who doesn't have anxiety, but it's like a dream come true to me lol I can't remember the last time i've felt like this. It's great Another interesting thing is that, he did the healing 3 days ago, but every time i meditate now, i get the same effect running through my body. Is it possible that i am somehow tuned into him now O_o Can anyone give feedback on sessions they have done with Master Chunyi Lin? I want to do some with him. Any positive feedback? Also are there any healers in London? This is the guys site btw: http://chinet-project.com/ He's called the Long Beard Healer : / I don't want to sound like i am promoting it, but i guess i am, he helped me with issues i've been having for as long as i can remember myself and if he can do the same for others i feel a duty to recommend him. Good luck : )

This is an interesting topic and I think there is often a lot of confusion about picking one over the other, but I believe that this difficulty of choice results from a fundamental misunderstanding of the root differences inherent in both ways of life; because once you comprehend it, you will see how clearly contrary both are to one another - and the choice would always be simple to make, but this is how it is; when we are unclear about something; it is difficult to make a choice. Is it no so? The simple answer in my opinion is this: Buddhism is founded on the belief that life is suffering and altogether an experience which should be escaped in order to achieve liberation. - This concept nurtures and supports the development of an attitude in practitioners which, while not entirely nihilistic, doesn't create any architecture to encourage one to live life to its fullest. Rather, one becomes perpetually impregnated by the idea of being born into a world which can never offer anything more than sickness, pain, old age, death and good old suffering #funtimes #whybother #whereistheexit Why is this such a problem? - Because it programs practitioners into becoming passive contributors to society. After all, why would you bother with developing society when by definition the universal law of samsara is the suffering of impermanence. Better to dedicate as much time as I can to getting the hell out of here, right? With the exception of Zen Buddhism in countries like Japan, which is very strongly influenced by Taoism, almost every major country of early adopters of Buddhism, which have it as it's primary religion, suffers from some form of poverty, underdeveloped civilisation, sub-standard social infrastructure and unacceptable forms of inequality. To really understand and experience Buddhism, you have to become a monk or a nun - and that demands that you abandon society and minimize your contribution to the human race. As far as I am concerned, that is existential suicide and a disservice to your higher self. Here we are these amazing beings, eternal souls manifest by will into this finite body of flesh and blood to transform the very fabric of existence, just waiting to explode source from our very core and shake and vibrate every being in our proximity like a blast wave of cosmic godhood, changing minds, influencing lives and impacting humanity through the power of our imagination and multidimensional consciousness - but, hey... lets avoid this, it's just full of suffering. Instead, lets symbolically shave our heads in discard of the very thing we came here to experience, put some robes on, and live the rest of our lives in a small barren room, reciting texts, chanting and taking care of our own preconceived ideas of life. Right speech, right view, right intention, right action, right this right that... Very many rules... the more rules you have, the more ritualised a discipline becomes. The more ritualised it becomes, the easier it is to miss the mark and deviate entirely into religious territories and there is a HUGE difference between Spiritualists, Philosophers and Religionists within the major traditions. If there is so much right... then whatever else must be wrong... Taoism, does not see things this way. Right and Wrong, are Yin and Yang, and part of nature. Every situation is relative. Here's what's unpalatable to me about the foundation of Buddhism.... Shakyamuni, was a prince. He lived a lavish life and saw nothing but the best of what the world had to offer. He had the nicest house, the nicest food, the nicest drinks, the nicest girls and the nicest most pimped out elephants you can think of in leu of cars. We can thank his over protective dad for all that. By all standards, this man was biased as they come. He was more biased than Donald Trumps toupe. Anyone who only sees one side of the coin in a realm of duality, and does so for 29 solid years before he begins to perceive nature as it is, is indisputably BIASED to the ways of the world. He was nearly 30 when he left the palace for the first time. In other words, he was a grown ass man with some pretty solid ideas already formed about his subjective understanding of reality, and that sort of idiosyncratic psycho-emotional complex is not really the sort of slate you can just wipe clean with some cheap windex. As I'm sure you all know by now, it can take hard work and a long time to polish that stone clean again. OF COURSE, when he leaves the palace on his chariot and is faced with the reality of sickness, aging and death, the rosy pink glasses are blown right off his face and he concludes that all life has to offer is suffering. Nothing surprising here... But I ask you the members, who of us here who has lived every year of their life in the midst of society and experienced life unabridged, lived every pain, every loss, every fight for survival, overcome every triumph, suffered every humiliation and stood up to face your fears, can tell me that life is not also full of love, of compassion, of wisdom, of understanding, of joy, of laughter, of boundless curiosity and unmeasurable creativity, of music, of dance, of ecstasy and orgasmic pleasure. Who here who was not deprived of his right to live freely, can concur with Buddha and affirm that life is but a suffering so torturous that even within its pain there can be found no constant to lighten it's burden, and that our greatest aid in this mechanism of experience to lessen our karmic ache is the microscopic glimmer of relief presented in the pause between our constant migration from the foul end of one misery to the better end of another - granted to us as a reward for our resilience and our choice to be here. So detestable, repulsive and frightening is it, that from the heights of the suffering it induces and our comprehension of it, we can actually give birth to compassion towards others, so that we can climax in the joining and recognition of their own suffering in a petulant concert of universally orchestrated mutual existential self pity. Have you ever contemplated the psychological repercussions of clay moulding your view of life around the ideology that for the duration of our natural physical lives we are inescapably subjected, even imprisoned by and immersed into this three dimensional world whose entire volume resembles a thick ectoplasmic goo of inescapable suffering? What sort of mindset does that create? Is it a positive view? Is it a negative view? Is it a neutral view? I will let you contemplate it. I myself would argue that it is most certainly a negative one. Alright.. now why does all this REALLY matter when it comes to energetic and spiritual cultivation? In my experience, EVERY, SINGLE belief formed and held and fed through ritual and habit WITHIN the acquired consciousness (mind) of the individual, contributes to manifesting a collective consensus consciousness. Something that is the product of like minded ideas and emotions which cohese together to create a particular vibration of energetic potential. When enough of these self-created energetic potentials pool, they have the power to integrate themselves into union and actually manifest as an experienceable reality to which we can tune into like the frequency dial on a radio. These dimensions can turn into, for the lack of better phraseology, an energetic abode or landing zone for those minds whom subscribe to the respective thought pattern. Depending on the quality and purity of the ideas, these can leapfrog and propel certain aspects of our consciousness into the non-energetic dimension after and even before the death of the physical body. How pure and clear these ideas are will determine how deep they can penetrate into the depth of the Tao to establish a locale for the foundation and preservation of the collective belief. That is why, the MIND is the limit, but it is also our primary tool. It is like a tuning fork. Put two together and strike only one and they will both begin to resonate at the same frequency. Be careful, what sound is being sung around you, does it open your mind, does it close it, or does it form it into a specific shape? - And most importantly how far can we take form into the formless realm? Can it enter at all? Think about it. You mind must be formless. It is like a formless key that enters a formless gate, nothing else shall pass. This is very important, because it means that the NATURE of thought and the NATURE of the founding views of any religion directly correlate with the frequency to which the mind of the practitioner is attuned and then fixed; and the respective vibration will directly channel them into the non-physical reality to which they have affiliated and bound their consciousness to; and we will ultimately become that reality. So my question is this, based on Buddhas biased view of life, through which he derived the theory of suffering and which he used as the foundational basis for the construction of what later became Buddhism - HOW deep, or if you prefer, how HIGH will locking your mind to that frequency and vibration of thought help you penetrate into the ultimate nature of reality, which is, well.. unbiased, non dual and non polar? Do you think it can take you all the way? It is an important question to consider and perhaps one of the reasons for which there have been long discussions about the merits of Buddhism as a complete practice as opposed to a spring board into higher practice. Earlier I spoke about civilisation and I want to touch on it again, because as a Spiritual Taoist, I believe very strongly in our value as human beings and our ability to contribute to developing civilisation, improving living conditions and helping humanity evolve spiritually, but also socially, ethically, technologically, as humanitarians and as philanthropists. Because of the remarkable influence religion has on the people of the world, it AUTOMATICALLY, becomes responsible for the effect it has on humanity. It's just like having a twitter account. If you have 5 followers, it's not a big deal, you can fart around and not care much about what you say, but if you have 5 million followers, you're painting with a much broader and heavier brush, and the strokes you make, whether you post pictures, videos, or textual tweets, will impact and influence all those individuals on a personal level - and you now become something much more; a powerful idea, a dream, an aspiration; and when you have such power, you must recognize that and decide on how you will change the world. Will it be for the better or for the worse? I measure and valuate anything by what it does to help people and advance humanity - and religion does not fall short of this judgement. So, when I look at Buddhism, I ask myself - how did the Buddha help civilisation develop as a direct result of his ideas? How did he balance worldly life with spiritual life? Maybe I am uninformed, but I cannot find many ways in which he contributed to that. I once asked a zealous Buddhist practitioner the very same question, and he said Buddha taught his disciples how to wipe after doing a number 2 and brush their teeth. Till this day I don't know if he was being sarcastic or he actually meant it, perhaps someone can clarify this. The attitude which these teachers instil in their students directly influenced their perception of life and directly changed the way in which they behaved, because of this I think Jesus did a FAR better job as a spiritual leader compared to Buddha, because despite both having talked about compassion, Jesus's ideology was founded on love. It was a positive message, which encouraged a positive view of life and not a negative one - and maybe it's just coincidence, who knows, but the majority of countries who adopted Christianity as a primary religion, have been very active in social reform, political growth, technological innovation, most of their countries have solid infrastructure and Christians are generally very pro-active get it done sort of people. The attitude towards life is a positive one, not a negative one. Maybe I'm just talking out of my ass, you tell me? If we try to interpret all this from a Taiji perspective, I would say that Buddhas way is very Yin and leads to a passive and negative attitude towards physical life. There is no embracing of worldly life, no Yang. It is only when the two merge together in harmony that can we pierce into truth. Taoism on the other hand, in particular the Spiritual Taoists who were just sages and hermits and existed way before the formation of Religious Taoism have a very different view of life. Physical existence to a Taoist, well... it just is. There is no prejudice or bias. We don't think it's negative or positive. It is what you make it. Buddha decided to make it a negative thing and because of this in my opinion transformed his teaching into a mild form of spiritual extremism. Taoists on the other hand have always sought harmony. The physical experience was to be merged with the spiritual to bring about complete unification of Yin and Yang and reveal the fundamental non-polar nature of Wuji. Ancient Taoists hermits didn't start in the royal palace, although some of them climbed quite high on the social ladder. They were in nature and in life from the get go. They observed it in all its true colours, the good with the bad. Health and Sickness, Youth and Old Age, Birth and Death. To them this was the natural cycle of nature. They understood that all things were this way and they adopted the fundamental concept of Yin and Yang that govern the waxing and wanning of all happenings in the Tao. They recognized duality and pierced into Wuji to unravel the ultimate truth. They did this not by going to spiritual extremes, out of shock or fear of some sudden realisation, but by becoming one with the nature that was all around them since birth, and by following the balance of nature, they learned to attain levels of supernatural vigour, perception and wisdom. So the fundamental difference here between the two is that while Taoism begins from a neutral point and directly focuses on harmonizing Yin and Yang (Taiji) to revert to Wuji, Buddhism is biased through a negative mind construct from the start, which directly impacts the level of possible realisation, because Sakyamunis mind was already formed in one direction, while the mind of the Taoist sage was in the centre. It might sound like a insignificant difference, but when you appreciate the importance and influence of mind in spiritual work, you will understand how big a contribution in makes to what is attainable. When we look at Taoism and civilisation... well... I don't even know where to begin. Because Taoism encouraged living life, experiencing life, understanding, investigating nature and investigating ones self; this attitude lead to a plethora of technological innovations which revolutionised Chinese civilisation, things such as herbology, accupuncture, herding, massage, qigong, taiji and countless others. All these were invented in an effort to make life easier and more enjoyable. They were methods to prolong life not to escape it and they helped to increase the positive experience of life and advance humanity and civilisation. Furthermore, Spiritual Taoism has no dogmas. There are no rules to follow, no books to read, no right way or wrong way. No paths. Taoism is the way of no way. The path of no path. Even Laozi said Tao Ke Tao Feichang Tao (The Tao That Can Be Explained Is Not The True Tao). Even so, millions have flocked to do just the opposite of that, and take his writings to be the be it all of Taoism. Please don't forget that, many of the teachings we follow today were authored thousands of years ago to cater to the people of the time, their minds, their wisdom, their culture and their level of civilisation. Do not look to the old books blindly. Those guys are long dead. Take what is useful, discard what is useless, add what is specifically your own. Bruce Lee said something like that. THAT, is the only way to advance civilisation, and not by becoming clones of a wisdom designed to open the minds of humans several thousand years ago. Although many of these wisdoms are valid today. I urge you to open your mind and develop your own wisdom through the exploration of life, just like the masters of yore. Do not lock yourself within the diapazon of their own wisdom such as they shared it with us through writing. Take it and go beyond even! There is no limit. This is the difference between being a follower and being a Spiritual Taoist. Always remember that every moment of our existence every breath we breathe, every action we take whether good or bad are all part of the Tao and contribute to our inevitable evolution. We bare the consequences of all our actions and when it comes to life we grab the bull by the horns. As Taoists, we can eat what we like and have sex, start a family and contribute fully to society with our skills. We can run a successful business, deal with money, build corporations and help advance civilisation. There are no rules, only actions and consequences. The world is our oyster. MOST importantly, we do not encourage anyone to run from or escape worldly life and society. Instead we combine and merge the physical with the spiritual. Harmony is the most direct path to non-duality. If you lean too far to one side or the other.. the momentum will keep the wheel of Samsara spinning. The key is what vibration you tune your mind to. There is no escape from existence, this is part of it. Believe me, you chose to be here. You WANT to be here. Find out why! Do you think that after you attain immortality you can come down to earth and save everyone on the planet with your godly powers? haha. That's not how it works. Taiji has laws and rules, Wuji also has laws and rules. The Taiji dimension is the playground of souls. The university of life. This is training day. Let me tell you what you'll do when that day comes for you. You'll choose to do the one thing you won't believe, and that is reincarnate again by entering Taiji through a natural birth so you can help other people awaken to their original nature. Not as a god, not as spirit, but again as this body of flesh. Don't underestimate your value. We all have worth. Some of you are already realised immortals and the soul in your current body is simply a projection of your non-physical self which is already dwelling in the emptiness of the Tao, and you are guiding countless beings through your wisdom in different galaxies in different bodies all simultaneously. What, you never thought you might already be an immortal and the soul in this body is just an extension from your realised body residing in emptiness? Well.. mind blown. Trust me when I said this. There is no limit to your wonder. If people like Buddha and Jesus Christ who gave and dedicated their lives to saving and liberating mankind then ascended and became gods and immortals. Then why didn't they just come back in an instant and awaken everyone with their powers in one go? Because there are laws... and some laws, even immortals can't break lest they be punished. So do not think lightly of yourself. You are a miracle of divine power here to manifest the truth of the ultimate reality in the hearts of others. Start with a spark and turn it into the fire of spiritual transformation : )

Hi Arkx6, We are not a school of Philosophical Taoism or Religious Taoism. We only practice the Spiritual side of Taoism. In very blunt terms; to practitioners of our school, that means that anything we can't experience through our own cultivation and our own direct perception, derived from our personal investigation, examination and understanding of a matter is either unverified theory or bullshit. "Woo Woo" if you will. Even in the Tao Te Ching, Laozi said - The Tao that can be described is not the true Tao. The mind cannot grasp what is beyond the diapason of it's function; and there is much that is beyond. If you read about sugar in a book, you cannot compare the experience to putting sugar in your mouth. One brings about wisdom, the other promotes blind faith and blind faith can lead to religious inclinations which trap the awareness from expanding naturally. If we want to find out about something, we have to find a way to experience it and prove it for ourselves. Otherwise, your beliefs will always based on the experience of someone else and not those of your own life. Whether these are someone else's experiences which you read in a book, watched in a movie or listened to on tape, they are still someone else's personal experiences, so why waste your time with it? Is it because you want encouragement? Here, I'll give it to you... Here it comes. - "Everything is possible, and every possibility has a consequence". Now the world is your oyster! How will you open it? You have to find the way. You have to create your own experience and determine the truth for yourself - through yourself. This is the only valid point of view if you want to expand your wisdom as opposed to fortifying your ignorance and conceptual notions supported by blind faith in the lifetimes of others. Best wishes. Don't be mislead by this statement if you are a novice. JING is found both in men and in women, both in it's Hou Tian and it's Xian Tian state. IF you don't have JING, you are dead. In the Taiji realm it manifests most directly as the lowest resonating frequencies of matter in our body ie: - Bones, Muscles, Tissue, Vessels, Fascia, Hair, Hormones, Marrow, Nails, Blood, Sperm, Cerebrospinal Fluid, Phlegm, Tears etc. The essence within Jing and not the physical medium of the Jing, such as the substances listed above; can be used to trigger the initial process of alchemy when heating up the Xia Dantien and starting the fire of alchemical transformation. It's accumulation, purification and stilling can bring us closer to experiencing the congenital Xian Tian essences of the human matrix and allow us to progress into genuine Hou Tian Nei Dan Shu. People who do not know what they are talking about, should not be speaking with such an authoritative and didactic tone, especially to someone who is in an emotional state of mind. There needs to be a reformation in TTBs to promote better quality control, because this is not just a website for ramblings, but also a platform where people come to learn; and it has the power to influence the minds of new Taoists into improper understanding and practice without due attention or the experience to discern things clearly. Be weary of what you read and inform yourself from multiple sources if you choose to take someone's word for fact without personal experience. There are many knowledgeable members on this forum. I urge novices to inform themselves for their own safety and ease of progress in Taoist practices. Refer to what Marblehead and Taoist Texts offered as a consideration.

My source and the source of every Tao Yu in our school is the divine. We cultivate directly with divine energy by establishing a spiritual connection to an immortal teacher or mentor god; Fu Fa Shen, also known as a Taoist Xian Shen. This connection is enabled by a cultivator authorized by Tai Shang Lao Jun to transmit the ancient art of Tao Yin Shu; divine or spiritual guidance art. Different students, have different Fu Fa Shen. It is not one Shen that teaches. There's more information which I've posted in the event section of the forum, you can visit it by clicking the link in my signature to which it is linked. In Hou Tian Nei Dan Shu, the path of refinement is as such: - JING > QI > SHEN and when you raise your awareness to the highest level of SHEN, you can try to break your consciousness out of Taiji and enter Wuji, where you may find a Xian to guide you higher. In Xian Tian Nei Dan Shu, the refinement takes place as in Taoism of old, through divine guidance and a Taoist Xian Shen is responsible for the transmission of the Tao from day 1. The path of cultivation is something like this: - FU FA SHEN > WUJI > SHEN > QI > JING > YANG SHEN > KONG Because of this we develop our spiritual capacities first and as long as the body is kept healthy enough to support further refinement, your 7 Po and 3 Hun will daily solidify into one unit, fundamentally eliminating separation of any form and returning back to the one Tao of origination. In Xiao Yao Pai, we don't believe anything unless we can experience it or prove it; so I can appreciate your comment. You may not believe in the natural laws of Taiji, but they believe in you. Every action and inaction leaves a footprint.

The evolution of the eternal soul is endless, reflecting the infinite nature of the Tao. There is a continuous and ongoing refinement which takes place without cessation. Refinement does not begin or end with the physical body, but the conditions around which the physical body finds itself in Taiji are usually more conducive to a highly increased rate of development, respective to the spirit occupying the physical vessel. Basically, one of the governing rules of Taiji is that of karma. Actions and relative consequences. They tie us together energetically and create a dynamic of taking and giving where a debt is paid or accumulated. The debt to another soul can be the result of pain you may have caused them, lies, hurt, death, cheating and so on. Essentially you can look at it in terms of negative and positive "points" if you will. Each point is shared between two or more individuals or groups of individuals. From a practical point of view, your concern with the positive is that you accumulate more of it by performing good deeds, this creates Gong De or merit if you will, which can then be converted into spiritual skills and energy through spiritual cultivation. So there are two factors, Gong De and Spiritual Cultivation. If you have strong Gong De, accumulated through good deeds, you will have a positive balance, but even so this does not mean you have become an immortal and certainly performing good deeds alone will not grant you this level of attainment, otherwise mother Theresa would be a Xian. What it can grant you however is a choice after death, where you can select where to reincarnate next, or if you'd like to hold of on doing that for some time. How good a life you can pick will depend on your Gong De and how strong your positive balance is. This option is only available to souls with a very strong positive balance, having performed many good deeds. Some of these may even be completely positive, "SAINTS" if you will, but being governed by Taiji law, they are still required to reincarnate. They cannot escape it. So Gong De is just one aspect of the formula of liberation. The second is spiritual cultivation, which requires a method and a particular course of practice. Such a method is Nei Dan, which helps to transform the acquired condition, revert back to the original nature and unify the whole existential complex into one solid manifestation of the Tao; one that is free of separation on any level, not by mind, not by body, not by energy. When one moves at this level, they move their whole being as one unit, expressing their nature directly and without the refraction of the acquired mind and states. This is when one can become a pure projection of the Tao while also maintaining their own individuality. If one combines Gong De to purify their deeds and pay their debts to others in this life and from former and combines that with spiritual cultivation to develop the Yang Shen body, then one can make very good progress. Bear in mind the Yang Shen body of Taoist immortality is not something that is achieved a kin to flicking a switch on. It's not the result of some progressive accumulation of energy which then suddenly goes pop and there you are. On the contrary, it is a gradual achievement which comes about in phases and levels of development as one progresses through their spiritual cultivation. When one develops their Yang Shen to a sufficient level, not even the highest level capable within a human body is necessary; then one after death will have full conscious awareness of themselves and their formless original nature. If at this state of their development after death, one has extinguished all their negative karma, by repaying debts to those owed, then one has no obligation to return to the physical realm. That is to say that, even if you achieve a particular level of Yang Shen cultivation which allows you to consciously free yourself of the Taiji law, so that you are no longer subject to the current of reincarnation into the physical dimension, BUT you still haven't paid all your debts, then the job is not yet complete and you will have several options: 1. Locate the souls currently expressing themselves in a physical body, to which you owe a debt, then wilfully chose to reincarnate through the natural law of Taiji; enter a new womb and be born of natural birth that you can coincide yourself with that soul in that life and give yourself the opportunity to pay back your karmic debt. When you are done, after you die, you can return to your formerly achieved formless state. - now for logical reasons, not everyone you may owe a debt to may currently be physically manifested in Taiji, because they may have just died or may have other responsibilities, which means that for Shen in this situation the predicament is that they will have to wait until the soul is ready to be born, before they can reincarnate to meet them and neutralize the debt. - there also exists an option for a newly formed Xian, where rather than having to enter Taiji again through the womb of the mother, then can choose to neutralise the debt by heeding the calls to aid the soul or souls to which they owe a debt that are currently manifested in the Taiji realm. This answer can be to a prayer or simply some form of a request, depending on the nature of the debt, the Shen can choose to use his acquired merit and skill to emanate into Taiji in a physical body, using Yang Shen skill and interact with that person and soul in order to help them and repay the debt. This situation is dependent on the type of the debt, because some debts are light while others are heavy. Some can be lessened or broken up into smaller debts, while others cannot be touched in any way, by law of Taiji. One example of such a debt is the debt of life, which is acquired by killing someone. Death is repaid by death, because the value of life cannot be paid back in any other way. Under these circumstances a new Xian, or a cultivator who has developed his Yang Shen sufficiently; after death, will have no other option but to enter Taiji again through a natural birth. In this case, an emanation or an imitation body by reducing it's frequency to match physical matter will not suffice. The body that dies must be real and it must feel the pain and the suffering of death. The weight of these emotions and experiences is the value which derives wisdom and also the currency through which we can neutralise our respective debt. Once a novice Xian has paid of all it's debts, It is completely liberated. Now, that's not to say that IT MUST paid it's debts immediately or else... no in fact after you have attained the formless state, you can continue to cultivate yourself and accumulate Gong De by helping beings across the fabric of existence, BUT, sooner or later you will have to neutralise all your debts, whether you want to do it 500 years from the life during which you attained Yang Shen or 1000 years later, you will still have to do it. Nobody can escape the law of Taiji, not even those in Wuji, it is the law of the Tao. But if the remaining debt is light, then the Shen will have an option to simply repay it while in it's formless state by some manner of guidance, vision, dreams, or even a physical emanation with an imitation body, should it chose to spend it's energy to maintain the projection into Taiji from Wuji where it resides. Reincarnation is very important and to the eternal soul, the physical body is a VERY desirable state to be in, because it allows for the expedient cultivation of Yang Shen, the acquirement of Wu (wisdom), the accumulation of Gong De through good deeds and the OPPORTUNITY to coincide with souls who owe you a debt or to whom you owe one, in order that the karma can be neutralised. Otherwise we will remain tied to the Taiji dimension of duality, endlessly trapped in the cyclic current of Yin and Yang. So the start of spiritual cultivation begins with taking responsibility for our actions. Learning to love and accept our body so that we can take care of it and be healthy and strong. When we are healthy and strong, we want others to be healthy and strong; this is the seed of Gong De. From here we then begin to perform humanitarian acts and charity, offering assistance to others in myriad ways and making an active effort to make life better and better for all forms of consciousness. When we combine this with spiritual cultivation, one can then say that you are on the path of dual cultivation of Xing and Ming to achieve complete liberation. After you have extinguished your karmic debts and have also achieved Yang Shen, you are free to do what you will. There are plenty of things to do. You can even apply for a job in the non-physical dimension and assume the form of a guide or a teacher to instruct others in spiritual cultivation, becoming something like the Fu Fa Shen in our school who guide us in Nei Dan, while they accumulate merit from doing so.

Drew-san and everyone else : ), Do you have any theories on why Jing makes you a chic magnet? It is truly perplexing to me. The more i meditate the more girls can't resist me. Why does this happen? I walk into a room and every girl starts flirting with me, they are literally drawn to me like a magnet. Big ones fat ones, chubby ones, sexy ones, amazing ones. I sit down on a table and before i know it every girl in the room is sitting at my table trying to take turns to talk to me and flirt with me. And i mean in an absolutely shameless way, they don't care who is watching or listening, they will queue up and wait in line with a number. I am very used to women and this sort of pack behavior is something entirely new to me. It is almost like they are under a spell? What is the energetic theory behind this attraction? Any hypotheses? Is there an exchange going on? Also i have noticed that when i am in a room full of women i feel more love in the middle dan tien, but when a man comes into the room all the action goes to my lower dan tien and sexual center. Is he de-converting my Qi to Jing? Why do only males have this effect on my lower center while women have a more prominent effect on my heart center? Are women more naturally MDT centered than LDT? - I feel like i have to cross my legs when a man comes into the room because my lower center feels like its being sucked or drained. Second question: I have noticed that there is two ways i can stretch: 1: Normal physical stretching of the muscular system, after which i can perform extreme bends and splits and so on. 2: Only meditation ie: for an hour. And the effect? - I can do the same extreme bends and splits as if having done 30 mins of physical stretching. I can jump right into full lotus, bend into a pretzel and all that good stuff. In fact i dare say meditation is more effective O_O. How if in anyway does Qi / Jing act on the muscle and tendon system to help stretching and flexibility, without actually physically stretching the tissues? I'd like to hear theories from everyone who has an opinion : ) Excuse my grammar and writing. I can't write after i meditate : \

Hello The reason for this is the nature of the practice of Tao Yin Shu. The transmission of Taoism is is carried out directly between yourself and your Fu Fa Shen(s) and it is catered to your personal constitution. If everyone had a Math teacher who came to their house to give them 1 on 1 lessons, then there would be no need for people to gather under one roof in a classroom. A natural result of this is that social activity is somewhat reduced. There are many things we can talk about to give us a new perspective, but the bulk of work takes place while you practice together with your Fu Fa Shen; usually at home. If you have a friend of a family member who is also a Tao Yu, it's great to practice together. Sometimes someone else's Teacher, can chip in and help you during your session. I have experienced it myself in different ways. When there is more than one Xian present, the energy in the room amplifies. The practice is also very personal, because Fu Fa Shen can see your mind, your secrets, your past deeds and your intentions. Because of this, It is easier for your teacher to work directly on releasing the tightly wound knots of the acquired minds' conceptions in order to bring about an unabridged experience of your true self. Correcting and realigning acquired attitudes, fears, beliefs and other creations brought about by your experiences, is for the most part related to very personal events in your life. Unraveling these rigid emotional structures and congestions within the system is usually an intense and challenging, experience, which most people prefer to keep private. As you practice, your mind will become more and more like that of the child. You will feel happy. You will find yourself not judging things. An openness and understanding towards all things will develop and your attitude to life will become easy going and carefree. That is why our schools' name is "Xiao Yao" Pai. It points to the condition we attain through practice. When physical corrections are necessary within the body, these tend to take place during your scheduled Tao Yin Shu sessions with your teacher. So you will need to invite them for those to take place. Although on certain occasions, an immediate physical adjustment may need to be made which requires the synchronization of other bodily processes. These can happen spontaneously, or your Fu Fa Shen can warn you about it before hand, so you don't look funny in public. Other refinements which are not physically and visibly expressed, such as adjustments in the function and operation of the subtle physical energies in the body, will generally take place all the time, and as your sensitivity begins to increase, you will feel not only the physical movements, but also the meridian energy and mind energy movement, as it is cleared of negative conditioning and obstructions, which are contributing to the dampening of communication with your Yuan Shen and the formation of Yang Shen, through the fusion of Hun and Po. All of which are processes that take pace while you Siu Tao. So if you don't see many people posting testimonials, it is because the experiences are personal. The few testimonials that we have, I have asked Tao Yu to contribute personally. The things that happen during practice are most of the time too extraordinary to communicate publicly, so people keep to themselves in order not to be judged and thought of as crazy people Just be modest and keep going. Not everyone needs to know about your personal stuff, and those that are interested can ask. It is better this way. Practice keeps going over the years. Expanding and developing in many ways. Your awareness and your spiritual skill expand, your wisdom increases and you continuously fuse your Hun and Po together, until the negative condition is wiped out, the Yin Shen is transformed and Yang Shen remains. It is a gradual, guided transition with many benefits, but our skills is developed in Wuji, not in Taiji, so if you're looking to manifest energy within the physical body, for physical use, rather than Spiritual application, you will be slowing yourself down, which in my opinion is pointless as the physical body will die anyway. All you need to do with the physical body, is just keep it healthy. A normal standard will do just fine to support the spiritual work. You're right. Faster is not always better, but in this instance It is. The only way to know if what I'm saying is true, is to prove it yourself. My words could very well be lies. Only your direct experience has a claim to truth. It's quite simple. You can judge this by the fruit of practising Tao Yin Shu. So when it develops, just look at the benefits, how your wisdom develops, the skills your acquire and how you feel. Use your internal compass. In terms of how the Shen teach. It is not 1 immortal per apprentice. They can actually split into many copies of themselves. During a recent initiation one Tao Yu got paired with Er Lang Shen, whom he could see in his mind during the initiation. He actually didn't know who it was, but later when we were explaining some things about some of the main Shen, and showed a picture of a few immortals he immediately recognized him. He is not the only Tao Yu who is currently studying with Er Lang Shen, there are 1000s. So number and speed is not an issue. They have transcended space-time all together. Only you can say. Yes. There are no risks, but not every initiation is the same. The experience of connecting to the non-physical realm so quickly (seconds), for some people can be really emotionally overwhelming. For many people, this is something they have been searching for all their lives. Proof of the "other" world. We are all in search of our origin and our purpose. These questions are at the core of our being. To finally create such an authentic connection to a path which has the tools to offer you answers, and in such a direct fashion, is something which I think your very soul can feel at the time of initiation and it is joyous in celebration it. Many people cannot contain themselves and immediately start crying. Some people being to cry even if a high level Tao Yu from our school just walks past them, as the impact of their aura is overpowering. Even if they have never seen them before or don't know who they are. Such people are very sensitive to energy. Sometimes we have people come to the initiation who are possessed. They have been struggling all their life with it and their soul has constantly been searching for a way to get rid of the spirit. The person may not even know they're possessed, but their higher self guides them to initiation. During such times, the initiations can get a little "different" as a lot of activity begins to take place on a spiritual level. Confrontations by the spirit, fights etc. - They always leave though, because they acknowledge the status of our school in the celestial realm. Those whom were possessed become healed this way and finally begin to live normal lives. Sleeping well for the first time in many years, their appetite for life comes back, they become happy etc. - We had a case like this in the Philippines recently. Sometimes, it's not even necessary to tell the person, because they can become scared. So we just deal with it during the initiation. Some people with the eye to see what is going on, will see it, most other Tao Yu will just continue their initiation oblivious to what is going on in the room on a spiritual frequency. They just can't see it with their eyes. This is one reason why we don't do initiations by distance. We have to be there to buffer and administrate these situations when they occur and also to help establish the correct attitude towards what is taking place, because like I said, people can get very emotional. Feel scared or start crying. It is a thrilling experience, but the same goes for anything new, even bungee jumping. There are never any strings attached, so if a person feels that they don't want to be part of the initiation after the first part of the presentation is complete, they can just wait outside for 15 minutes while the others become initiated. After that, they can come back in for the second part of the lecture. If someone changes their mind after the initiation takes place, it is ok, we can do another ceremony for them. If at any time you wish to dissolve the apprenticeship to Tai Shang Lao Jun, the head of our school, you simply say the mantra you are given, face the heavens, make your request; and the connection will be severed. But you have to understand that you can only be initiated once per life time into Xiao Yao Pai. Why? I don't know. Maybe the immortals don't like time wasters. I'm not sure. There is a lot of heart, discipline and perseverance involved on this path. So I imagine if they see that someone lacks the conviction to practice, they consider them unready and give them time to continue life in another direction. Best wishes. PS: You can check out the Xiao Yao Pai - SPIRITUAL TAOISM facebook discussion group to read more about it.

Q: Thank you so much, how can I connect to space, I mean how can I imagine the space and connect to it. A: Hello. The first thing you must do, is understand that the process of imagination is a function of the mind and the thoughts it produces. The space between the thoughts, is the still point in the midst of the movement of the mind. It is like the subtle pause after the inbreath and the outbreath of air from our lungs. It is the point of no-thing, whence wu wei is birthed. If you can remain at rest within this sea of relative emptiness and empty your heart of desires; the body of the Tao will embrace you in it's transformative energy and you will begin to awaken to your original essence and see your true face, as it is before you are born into the physical dimension of duality: Taiji. The second thing to understand is that the thoughts on their own cannot be rid off. They are evidence of a live and conscious being, and you should be happy you have them. When your body dies, the thoughts will die with the brain. I will give you an easy method that you can practice at your leisure. 1. Sit comfortably on a chair or on the floor, and make sure your back is naturally erect. 2. Take a few minutes to relax your body completely. Relaxation is one of the most important things, not just during meditation, but during every activity we perform in life. When the mind and the body are relaxed, the spirit is still. When the spirit is still, it can manifest the Tao perfectly. 3. Place your attention on a single point. This is your anchor. You can pick your Xia Dantien or the tip of your nose. 4. Maintain your attention on the anchor point, but do not apply any intention. There is a difference between the two. Although both intention and attention can lead the mind. The former is pregnant with desire, while the latter is empty of it. We want to disengage the heart, because when the heart stirs it produces thoughts and emotions. So, to be effective we apply an open attention instead of a closed intention. 5. Keep your attention on the anchor point. Nothing should sway you from it. Not even the breath. If you notice you are voluntarily adjusting your breathing; remove the attention even from this activity and replace it back on the anchor point. The breath will regulate itself. When at rest, it is an involuntary mechanism and it does not need conscious direction from the mind. The thoughts need Qi to function, so the breath is connected to the thoughts, and our awareness provides the fuel. Because of this, the breath can be used as a yardstick in measuring the efficacy of producing tranquillity. If the breath is slow, the thoughts are weak and the awareness is disengaged from their activity. If the breath is fast and laboured, the thoughts will be heavy and over-active and our awareness will be dedicated to supporting their proliferation. If the breath becomes so slow, and for long periods of time seems to stop completely. Then you are beginning to touch upon the state required to support spiritual transformation in deep mediation. Your awareness will be completely disengaged from the Taiji dimension and it's full potential will be redirected towards the transportation of consciousness into the absolute emptiness of Wuji. 6. If you notice that your awareness has been hijacked by a torrent of thoughts or one idea that has spiralled into a full blown Hollywood blockbuster. Do not get aggravated or irritated. Just gently redirect your attention to your anchor point. 7. Repeat steps 4 to 6. At first you will notice that you're only able to maintain focus for short spans of time, maybe even seconds at the beginning. With daily practice, this will grow into minutes and hours, until eventually your awareness will condition itself to continuously stay in this relative emptiness within your mind, whether you're working or talking or lying down. This relative emptiness is a pathway to the absolute emptiness of the Wuji. It is like a thread which will lead you into the ultimate fire of spiritual transformation. In time, you will find that rather than needing to engage the "thinking" mind to express yourself in the world; your expression will come from a higher faculty; a source beyond the impermanence of the physical mind, and you will finally begin to express your soul directly. Action, thought, mind, emotion, awareness, everything will blend into one, and you will move as a whole being in every facet of your life. One divine entity, expressing itself directly as a manifestation of the perfected nature of the Tao. Best wishes. Xuan Daoji

I need some help with gathering generative force and transmutation! Inner alchemy

If while you are celibate, you are loosing the seed at night, or even during the day (yes, after some time, it happens during the day too, just randomly); then you are not meditating properly. You have not yet grasped the essence of this most delicate thing. At these stages where the foundation is being laid in Hou Tian, Xing and Ming must be cultivated together; one without the other will not do and tends to lead to failure. Revisit once again your comprehension of meditation and try to understand it's roots. Once you do, the fire beneath the cauldron will ablaze and steam the Jing, to produce the finer substance of the three treasures. Mind must be absent (Shen) and Yuan Shen, must be nurtured. When the Shen recedes, then the Yuan Shen of it'self will be stilled and this will produce the state which you need to transmute the Jing which you are collecting. It is a practice of no-mind in marriage with the matter of the body, to produce the intangible.
