Does anyone have an experience with Traditional African Religions, or Traditional Afro-Caribbean Religions?
effilang replied to Xienkula1's topic in General Discussion
I was once inside that python temple, Surrounded by snakes everywhere. The walls of the temple are built in layers, like stairs climbing up, so there are hordes of snakes on every level. Quite fascinating. A little African spirit for you all: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rmkt0LY1HQ4 -
Emptiness is the goal, Meditation is the method. The greatest method is no method, for it is essentially a straight path. In fact it is not even a path, it is the direct and practical manifestation of nothingness. In fact, it is not even a manifestation. It IS nothingness. In fact, it is not even NOTHINGNESS, it is that which lies beyond nothingness.

I'm a scoprio and I've had sex with scorpios. It is a transcendental experience. We melt into each other, not the bodies really, but a sense of our two spirit essences blending into each other and becoming one during the intercourse. Never experienced it with other Zodiacs. The sensations are very similar to what I experience while meditating and lose thought/feeling of my body.

Chunyi Lin will personally collect $1.5 million from Stiggy in Australia
effilang replied to voidisyinyang's topic in Daoist Discussion
Drew, you're missing the point completely. This is not about proving that QG works. It's about expanding people's awareness of it and making it more mainstream. Can you imagine how incredible it would be if someone like Chunyi Lin, cured someone of cancer in real time on a popular TV show? People think QG is popular simply because it's a household name. It's not as popular, but more importantly, not as practiced as it should be. So there are plenty of good reasons for Stig, to do what he is doing. -
I'd be like. Death by starvation? Karma Challenge accepted!

If you look to page 24 of the Wilhelm translation he very clearly indicates through his use of terminology, that the method is concerned with the MCO. Shen creates Qi, Qi creates Jing. Jing creates Qi, Qi creates Shen. Either you collect your sexual energy into the LTD, or you collect your Spiritual energy in the UDT. With the LDT, the initial processes is rising, while with the UDT it is descending. Either way, the 3 postnatal energies strengthen and support each other and each of them in turn nourishes and sustains their prenatal counterparts directly. Eg: postnatal Jing strengthens postnatal Qi, while Postnatal Jing strengthens prenatal Jing and postnatal Qi strengthens prenatal Qi. "... The magic of the elixir of life makes use of conscious action in order that unconscious non-action may be attained. Conscious action consists in setting the light in circulation by reflection in order to make manifest the release of heaven. If the true seed is born, and the right method is applied in order to melt and mix it, and the way to create the elixir of life, then one goes through the pass. The embryo, which must be developed by the work of warming, nourishing, bathing, and washing, is formed. That passes over into the realm of unconscious non-action. A whole year of this fire-period is needed before the embryo is born, sheds the shells, and passes out of the ordinary world into the holy world. " " This method is quite simple and easy. But there are so many transforming and changing conditions connected with it that it is said that not with one leap can a man suddenly get there. " " Whoever seeks eternal life must search for the place whence human nature and eternal life originally sprang. ". I am posting this, because as I read this thread I see a lot of people becoming misguided in thinking that one must simply concentrate on Ying Tang and all shall there after be revealed, as though the whole energetic system of the body suddenly becomes obsolete in light of this activity. Concentrating on Ying Tang will build postnatal Shen which will directly strengthen prenatal Shen, but also very importantly it will build Qi and the Qi the Jing and when the Jing fills it will ascend up the Governor or flow out of the sexual gates or butthole. Yes, I prefer butthole to anus. When all this occurs, you're back to the micro and macro orbits again. The bathing and washing he speaks of take places oppositely at the level of the heart, on both the main yang and yin channels of the torso. This bathing and washing can only occur through the MCO. Don't delude yourself by thinking this method simplifies it. It is simply the beginning. Those of you who need to generate wisdom and right conduct first, start with the UDT, those who need to generate sexual energy and control of their body, start with the LDT. Those who don't care, do both, whichever of the three energies you decide to strengthen first, Jing Qi or Shen, they will all transmute and overflow accordingly until the waterwheel is opened. It is only when the waterwheel is opened that real alchemy of the spirit can start to take place, and the" mixing and melting" can be practiced. Do not be fools. There is no method beyond the small and grand circulation, mixing and fusing true nature and life, birthing the embryo and leaving the body to merge with the Tao. Anytime the energies are full the MCO will open and alchemy can begin. The many transforming and changing conditions are all explained in detail in Taoist Yoga Alchemy and Immortality. If you want to succeed past the beginning stages of TSOTGF you need to understand, what to melt, when to melt, what to mix, when to mix, slow fires, fast fires, warming, bathing, nourishing and washing, opening and closing mechanisms, safety instructions tooprevent harm to the body (the vessel for immortality), confirmatory manifestations, what they mean and how to identify them and what to do when they do appear etc. It is not a straight forward line and those that think it is will only hurt themselves or worse never go beyond mediocre achievements. It is of my honest opinion that one either needs to have a perfect understanding of the processes and mechanisms of alchemy or one must be blessed with a spiritual guide in order to achieve anything. Don't want to sound like a know it all, I don't, but I know some things and I don't want people to be mislead with false expectations.

Try Taoist Yoga for Women. I can't remember the author name. I'm a guy, but I read it all. I wanted a better understanding of the female energetics from a sexual point of view. There are a lot of exercises they do that are not the same for men, using the uterus, cervix, breast etc to harvest energy. At the end of the day though the goal is the same.

Recep, you're a distasteful cocktail of sarcasm and cynicism and I find your contributions to be unpleasantly negative. You should try teaching fellow bums something positive rather than spewing a constant onslaught of gracelessly offending commentary all about your footprint. I can't believe you are still here, feeding off of this. If only you put as much effort into loving as you do hating.

You reminded me of this guy at the office today who flew in to install and train us how to use some new software. He installed it on every computer, and was very excited about showing everyone what it could do. At every desk he did a presentation to each employee and then he came to me. And I told him, why don't you just get everyone together and teach them at the same time on the projector? And he just stood there blinking. So I got everyone together and set up the projector and he saved himself half a day and got back to his company with a whole debugging report due to the heightened conversation amongst everyone. Like minded and intentioned individuals allowed to function together in a hub bring together more ideas and create greater results. This is another reason why a thread is a good idea. Plus, it gives you the opportunity to state some basic thread rules and the moderation team can discipline anyone who is out of order. Plus, a small thread hub will allow people to share progress and help each other. Not everyone is the same and some people might fail if you insist on teaching them through private messaging, but another person who is similar to them might have found a way to overcome their hurdle. This creates a hierarchy so we don't have to constantly rely on you for every question and it simplifies your effort. Plus there are a lot of experienced bums here, who I'm sure can find very nifty ways to evolve what you've learned to even higher levels. But right now everyone you're helping is disconnected.

You don't have to prove yourself to anyone. That's the beauty of this form of cultivation. The only way to determine and separate the false from the true and the productively effective from the counter productively effective, is through practical experience, experiential data, not egocentric, intellectual postulating, argumentation and debate. The real answer will always be found through hard work. Thus the diligent student will always reap what he sows. I always welcome the odd Tao Bum poster, because they tend to bring something new to table. In a way you remind me of Drew, which is why I've taken such a liking to you. But that's not the point here. No matter how unorthodox anyone's claims on here, you all need to understand that talking about it will not make you right or wrong, regardless of how religiously defensive you are about your findings. For the love of God, have you guys stopped to look around? We're on a forum discussing how to be immortals. But it's ok isn't it? As long as it is a general category, nobody is offended. But, the moment someone makes a claim to accomplishment, your puny egos become so hurt, that you cannot even bear the idea that someone else might be doing well. You sit here, offending each other and ridiculing your personal experiences. How can you not conduct yourselves better than this? Surely you must be capable of it, or are you that unrefined? We are all here to learn. So many of us here have developed on the backs of the knowledge of others. Those who do more so than those who talk. Let there be elephants with wings and ponies of the rainbow. Until I experience it, I will refuse to argue it like a fool. Because of this I will always support the poster who brings with him the prospect of progress over he who points a finger an laughs. Because the first you can disprove or approve, the latter is a complete waste of time in either case. M. You say, fruits are never just there for the picking. That you have to work hard. Cultivating the path is akin to a tree 10, 000 meters high, no ladder, with but one fruit and one tree per person. Everyone must work hard. If it was easy, we would all be gliding around on clouds and walking on water, but look at the world today. How many of these people are there? I said this in another thread. When you cultivate. The mind expands beyond petty emotions and the wisdom grows. Then power develops. The Tao tempers us before giving us true power. TRUE power. Not martial jin. If power to you is the ability to physically dominate another human, then you're fighting a losing battle. Just buy a hand gun. The currency we pay to evolve is of sweat, tears and blood. Just because a person comes across a piece of useful information doesn't mean he/she has the state and maturity of Spirit to apply it in order to yield progress on the path. I have shared profound life transforming spiritual information with some people. Pearls to swine. This is why you never have to worry about sharing methods, but this is also why many of the schools avoid speaking of the powers, so as not to attract power hungry individuals. It's a lot easier to deter people with weak character by telling them you have to sit still for hours and all you get out of it is bliss. If you can offer a method of practice, that can be used to benefit your fellow humans, and that they may achieve this through hard work, then why not? I for one would be most interested in reading your thread. If you like I can even help you package it concisely into a system that can be applied. Either you're helping or you're not. And if you are, you can do it better, by starting a thread. Let those that are serious practitioners practice your directions and decide for themselves if it works or not. To everyone else who is not willing to put in the required time. Just **** off.

M. I think if you really want to help, you should make a thread and discuss all your skills and methods in a structured, well layed out presentation, so people can reap the maximum benefits of your experiences and practice methodology All the random posting, one bit here and one bit there, although seeming to come from a place of genuine care, isn't very helpful.

This^ - Anyone? In one method the vibration of the energy body becomes too refined to be contained within the gross physical and leaves the shell. In the other method the physical body is dissolved and the energy body remains. I've read in several books by different masters that as the energy body's vibration increases, it becomes challenging to keep the immortal soul in the shell as it feels restricted by the limitations of the coarse body. Most even advise that during the initial journeys of the immortal soul outside the body the one must be vigilant to bring it back inside or it will naturally refuse to merge itself back into such a low vibration.

OP, can you share your experience of the activity of qi during abdominal breathing and reverse abdominal breathing. What happens to the energy and is there a time to prefer one over the other? I have heard that RAB is better used to direct the Qi into action or application (outflow) while NAB is used for gathering Qi (inflow). Yet, I have also encountered many contradictions to this. Do you have any experience of how the energy reacts during these two breathing methods and which should ideally be used for sitting meditation and projections? IME the intention of the heart-mind is what determines the direction and function of Qi rather than the breath.
