  1. I think this is a great explanation and introduction to sitting meditation. This guys voice is so calming ahah, trying to find more : )
  2. Meditation

The Goal of Meditation is to transform the body and mind. To purify both and to turn the mind inwards in order to perceive the true nature and through lots of deep meditation over the years reach union with the Tao. This is the ultimate goal. If that Kung Fu master was placing emphasis on physical action then he was actually most likely a cultivator of mediocre accomplishments. Meditation is an exercise which helps you calm the mind and detach from identification with thoughts in your mind. It helps you perceive the stillness within and between the thought and it's origin. By calming the mind, the Qi can flow naturally and this will help to begin the physical transformation. The most commonly pursued route is via the transformation of "the three treasures". Jing (Sexual Essence) must be transformed to Qi and then to Shen, Shen to emptiness and the emptiness will lead to union with the Tao. Almost all meditative disciplines start from here. To start cultivating Jing, you may use "sitting meditation". Allow the mind to calm, relax the breath. Gently concentrate the intent and mind on the Lower Tan Tien, a point about 2 to 3 finger widths below your belly button and to the center of the inside of the body. By concentrating on this point and not ejaculating, the Jing will accumulate below the navel soon enough. It will heat up, then vibrate, then find it's way up the spine to the top of the head and down the front of the body creating an orbit; "The Microcosmic Orbit". - When you get to this point u can write here again i suppose. This initial phase has been roughly tagged at taking about 100 days to complete, with minimum two daily meditation sessions of about 30 mins to 60 mins each + no ejaculation. The more you meditate the higher your frequency of Qi becomes, if you ejaculate you go back to square one. It's like fucking for virginity, you will never reach your goal. If you instigate sex the higher frequency "Qi" you've produced will degenerate to Jing (Sexual Frequency) and stimulate the lower organs to prepare for sex and ejaculation, thus you will hinder progress. You must keep your thoughts pure and your mind free of desire from the senses. So: 1. Find a place to sit comfortably in half lotus etc. 2. Keep your back naturally straight. 3. Breath using "natural breathing" or "reverse breathing" to "kindle the fire". 4. Concentrate at all times on the Lower Tan Tien, bellow the belly button, when your concentration is effective you will more precisely ascertain it's location. 5. Keep doing this until this region heats up and vibrates. 6. Do not have sex, do not think about sex, do not watch sex, do not read sex. (exclusions exist but require a more advanced understanding to be utilized effectively) That is meditation. Hai! Tips: - Do "Pranayama" to help regulate the breath, this will help "sitting meditation". - Do not aim to have no thoughts, this is impossible, thoughts are always there. Instead aim to detach from thoughts so they do not drag you away. Let them rise and fall, but do not follow. Acknowledge, but do not indulge them. - Do not concentrate too strongly or too lightly on the Lower Tan Tien. Seek "The Middle Way". - Make your breathing transitions, like the "Taiji Symbol". Yang should rise and when it reaches its high, should naturally recess into the fall of Yin. Such should be your breath. - Do not only pay attention to the breath-in and the breath-out, but also to the no-breath that lies between both actions; all the time maintaining a loving, nurturing intent in the "Lower Tan Tien". - Do not meditate after eating, do not meditate when hungry. - Do not meditate when emotionally aroused. - Do not meditate when it's too hot or too cold. - Seek the middle way in everything. - Sin not in the shadows of secrecy, for no faster can blindness be-gotten than through lies conceived for thyself. Thus, virtuous is he who performs good deeds, even in the absence of his audience. - Try to understand the Tao Te Ching. - Read the following Books: 1. Qigong For Health and Martial Arts by Dr Yang Jwing Ming 2. How To Measure And Deepen Your Spiritual Realization by William Bodri and Huai-Chin Nan 3. 6. Does the Weak overcome the Strong?

This is true, but the quantity and quality of the element is of major importance. Although water will subside and control fire, a small amount of water will only hinder the fire, but expend itself entirely in the process, leaving the fire temporarily weaker but still thriving. And vice-versa a greater amount of water will conquer the fire element entirely, but enough fire will consume and force water to transform compositionally, thus fire overcoming water. A lot of people keep boldly throwing the element theory around, but in my opinion other than the structure and continuity, the quality and QUANTITY of the elements plays a very important role in determining the path of elemental transformation. We are not dealing with set extreme values of Fire or Water, or Li and Kan or Yin and Yang. If the five elements that create the 10,000 things had only the capacity to quantify one unit of variance, then our world would be a lot simpler than it is. But when you accept that even the slightest change in the quantity and quality of Yin and Yang within a formula is capable of producing an entirely independent result on it's own, then you realize it's not 10,000; it's an Infinite(N) of unfathomable possibilities. Thus, i believe it is quite false to say ABSOLUTELY, that water conquers fire or that fire in incapable of conquering water. This is my experience from martial arts, i feel this when i practice, but my most profound discoveries of this have come from meditation.

You should read Chinese Medical Qigong Therapy by Jerry Alan Johnson. That brick is about 1000 pages, but it's full of double rainbow goodness.

  10. What would YOU ask Chunyi Lin?

Can you ask him from a Spiritual and Healing Qigong point of view what are the steps a person has to take from A to Z (or as close to Z as he has reached). In other words if he had to write down a program, or illustrate a time-lapse of the ultimate goal, could he explain what the individual Levels are eg: A: Establish False Dan Tian B: Circulate Ren & Du C: Open 12 Yin / Yang Channels D: Open remaining 6 Extra Channels E: Open Chong Mai F: Merge Kan with Li G: Move Qi/Shen to the Brain H: Open Third Eye I: Eat Lots Of Gummy Bears J: Date Lots of Japanese Girls K: Etc. One of the major problems i'm having is that, i have a lot of detailed information about the different processes from different schools and their respective masters, but have yet to have someone come out and say; THIS is the ultimate goal, these are the steps that must be taken, these are the specific things that must be done, this is how it needs to be nurtured, this is what to expect at each level, these will be the most common manifestations at each level, this is how to maintain each level (so u don't drop down a level), this is how to get back up to a level in case you do etc. I have understood as much as my brain can right now of the Neijing Tu, but i wish someone could give me a road-map so i didn't feel so so lost, like a man of a 1000 trades, but a master of none. I wish there was something i could follow from A to Z for the rest of my life, with Z being (at least) a conscious soul/spirit, detached of the cycle of reincarnation, but still able to come back to the physical realm. A soul that can retain its past memories, so that if one life time is not enough in uniting with Tao, that i might continue from where i left off in the next and not be reset. Biggest worry for me is << starting all over again << it has been hard enough for me to find the correct information for what i know so far over the years. God forbid i am reborn in the 1920s in America or England or some place far removed from the influence of eastern energetic philosophy, my life would be empty (from a Qigong point of view): no offence to the American/English crowd : ) I know this it may not be something that can be answered there and then. So perhaps maybe if he was willing to consider creating a roadmap for the people who use his system and/or for everyone else, because true masters and people who know what they are really doing are so rare, i don't want to be stuck doing MCO all my life like a goddamn fool. Thanx

Enjoy! http://www.ninjavideo.net/video/69221
  16. Space Through The Wormhole

Episode 4 was great!: "What happened before the beginning" The only problem however with finding the answer to this question is the infinite nature of our minds! When we do find the start, will we not pose the question again, "what is the beginning of the beginning". When have humans ever been satisfied with a result? We are only happy with what we have if we can't have anything else! With the possibility of so many universes and so many big bangs occurring on a multi-dimensional level, what truth is the truth? - What answer is the real answer, is our bang the bang of bangs, or just another minor event in the grand scheme of existence. Is the truth perhaps just a version of our understanding, limited only by what we know and as false as what we don't. Ahh my brain. Where does it all end!
