Are you talking to me or is that just a general remark? - I can't make it out. If it's the former: I know, thats why i posted.

Thats because we associate sex with aggression in society and aggression as a prerequisite to satisfaction and fulfillment. Personally i like the word pussy, and cupcake and muffin : ) - But thats because i love eating muffins, Real ones. Not that the others aren't "real" in the physical sense, but i mean the ones made of dough : ) In my language we use words like, "flower", "peach", "cherry" - we got those in English too. There is very little poetry or romanticism associated with our jade stalks and muffins nowadays. They are just tools to satisfy our dirty desires, hence they must be referred to in a manner just as dirty or of greater filth, which is why there is always a noticeable aggressive, filthy connotation to enunciated words like Dick and Pussy. But from experience i know that what is considered a "vulgar" word can also sound the sweetest when said right, so i suppose it is up to our intent. I am sure that when it comes to hopping on the good foot and doing the "bad" thing, we're not always romantics and sometimes just want that steaming stiff stalk in your mellifluously moist muffin right NOW! The aggressive implications are natural, because sex is "bad" and in society we punish wrong doing by assertive discipline, in most cases physical or verbal. It's how we're programmed so naturally most of our sexually oriented tenderness is reduced to a form of punishment a la; "Yeah you bad, girl, you naughty girl! (you're having sex, how dare you), do you like it hard (do you like being bad), do you want me to spank you (punishment), what's my name (assertive hierarchial differentiation)"... There is no room for jade stalks or rose petals when our kids are programmed by the media who constantly push sex and aggression. It starts as soon as Tom and Jerry...

I don't quite comprehend the detachment of the true dan tian from the channels that suspend it where we know it to be by default. What is the purpose of this? - He says it is to move the Yin Qi to the outside of the body, yet the DT is compacted Yang Qi?
-
Shouldn't salt mean less water? - Is there any logic to this?

I am very curious though Non. How is it that u have nearly 500 posts yet are asking for such, well... basic instructions? - What have you being doing till now lol Unless this whole thread is some sort of a joke that i obviously aren't getting.

From what i understand "Laying the foundation" is normally characterized by the following: *Celibacy for 3 - 4 months. *Regulated diet, mind, thoughts, life. *Bringing the Lower Dan Tien to light or activating it or filling it; not literally. *Opening the Microcosmic Orbit In most practices this can be done by adhering to the above and, but not limited to: 30mins - 60 mins of sitting meditation, during which time a mild, soft, loving concentration is directed at the point about three finger widths below the belly button towards the middle of the body. Thoughts are ceased. The breath combined with love and attention is directed to the lower Dan Tien. The Qi follows the mind, so by placing the thought on the LDT and remaining celibate or not the Jing and Qi will concentrate in the cavity and grow until it pulses, heats up, vibrates. Next to doing your sitting meditation i recommend a moving Qi Gong that will take care of the main organs. So in a nutshell. Sit on your ass and concentrate on a small area below your bellybutton until the universe reveals it'self. Match your breath to a 5:5, 10:10 second inhale:exhale.

I find your attitude offensively hostile, unnecessary and immature. : )

Possible outcomes: A: There is a Yoga craze B: "Ah those Indian scientists. They can't be believed. It's all voodoo until our "trusted" western scientists can examine him" The sad thing: At the end of the day it won't change anything. Like they said in that documentary, Yogis and practitioners of the internal arts are performing all sorts of what we call by modern standards, miracles - but hardly anybody cares. Nothing of mass media will change the world anymore if it is concerned with self development. But hey if its a new dance video, well all learn the routine at home and half the globe will be dancing in sync in a few days. Why are we so lazy? - Why why why must we wait for action to be upon us before we are motivated to take it upon ourselves. I do not understand my fellow humans and boy have i tried.

Doesn't the MCO address both water and fire? I am curious to what made Blasto overheat with too much Yang. I have heard the fire breathing can do this.

I have read that seborrheic dermatitis is caused by an androgen hormone imbalance and androgen is produced by the adrenals atop the kidneys. My kidneys also become very active during practice and i have experienced SD as well out of the blue. Are there any techniques you can share that helped you relieve or "cool off" as you so put it yourself? Langster : )

Prahlad Jani, a sadhu, spent ten days under strict observation by physicians in Ahmedabad, India, in 2003. The study was led by Dr Sudhir Shah, the same doctor who led the study of Hira Ratan Manek. Reportedly, during the observation, he was given only 100 millilitres of water a day to use as mouthwash, which was collected and measured after he used it, to make sure he hadn't consumed any. He was reported to enter Samadhi state of consciousness almost daily during meditation. Throughout the observation, he passed no urine or stool, but doctors say urine appeared to form in the bladder, only to be reabsorbed. However, despite Jani's claim to have gone without food for decades, Jani was not engaged in strenuous exercise during the ten-day trial, and longer trials were not recorded under similarly strict observation. Further, his weight did drop slightly during the 10 days, casting some doubt on his claim to go indefinitely without food. Jani claims a goddess sustains him through amrit that filters down through a hole in his palate. The Indian Rationalist Association labels him a "village fraud". On June 26, 2006, The Discovery Channel aired a documentary called "The Boy with Divine Powers" featuring a 5 minute interview with Prahlad Jani and Dr. Sudhir Shah. As of April 22, 2010, new tests are being conducted on Prahlad Jani under surveillance of 35 doctors and researchers of Defence Institute of Physiology & Allied Science (DIPAS) -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AM4D2dnELcU You'll probably get a few differing opinions on this topic. Based on all the texts i've read, my conclusion is that consumption/indulgence of food/alcohol/sensory stimulus should be approached in either of the two ways: 1: In a predetermined manner; when there has been an established problem or goal (cause/symptoms/effect) etc. 2: Always in moderation; and let the body find it's balance naturally with time. I personally favor #2 and try to maintain a balance, but as you go along you will begin to feel when something is bad for you, or if you consumed too much, or need this or that.

Hey Fellow Bums and Bumettes, I have been noticing as of late that at some point during my sitting meditation my fingers adapt this mudra subconsciously: I never manage to catch myself in the act. I only gain awareness of it after it has happened and a significant while has passed. I know it is common for one to go into spontaneous yoga positions, adapt mudras have kriyas etc. so its all good. I'd like to know however if anyone can identify this mudra and perhaps tell me what it is used for? - Where it concentrates the energy in the body; what center it works with, what significance it has etc. Cheerios.

the power, to send, Qi, Chi, energy, out of the body!

Now that you brought that up. I've noticed some schools teach healers to act as a vessel of the universal energy, whilst others encourage the healer to use his personal storage of Chi, which well apparently can get depleted. Is this some sort of a misunderstanding or are there legitimately at least two different ways to do this; and why would one consider the later instead of the former considering there are stories about healers dying specifically due to a drainage or depletion of energy because of transfers. Wouldn't it be safer for everyone to just do whats safer... why if at all are there variations to this; is there a benefit with each method? Langster
