Happy Birthday Bruce Lee!
Ninpo-me-this-ninjutsu-me-that replied to Ninpo-me-this-ninjutsu-me-that's topic in General Discussion
You too!!!? He definitely gets around does Brucie. Sometimes in the dead of the night when I'm trying to sleep he whispers in my ear "someones trying to steal your car!", it's only when I've jumped out of bed, butt naked, that I realize I don't even own a car! He gets me everytime....I was halfway out the door with a ratchet set after reading your post before it dawned on me too! That Brucie, he's such a card. Ask him where I left my keys. I would ask him myself only he's not talking to me since I started listening to 'classical' music. He says it's far too rigid and I would be better served with some Avril Lavigne. Well, I would NeiChuan, but the Bruce Lee book market is flooded, especially after he started his 'One Foundation' charity. If I do ever write it though, I'm gonna donate all the proceeds to his former wife, Belinda Carlisle, her career really took a nose dive after his death. She should never have left her group 'The Miami Sound Machine', still, it's easy to say that in retrospect I suppose. -
I agree. Simply one of the best out-of-context quotes I have seen. My post at the beginning was simply focusing more on the point you made about feeling female. The feeling was very different from the feeling of being in love. I don't know if that helps at all. I don't know the mechanics of it.

What the hell is this thread all about???? I only read this page, and I'm thoroughly confused. I thought it's about happiness. I suppose I'm gonna have to go through the previous 7 pages, there's no guarantee I'm gonna be happy by the end of it though. Spoon men. Close Encounters of The Third Kind.

Physical age vs. Soul age

It seems like nothing to lose then, and everything to gain. So I'm kind of wondering now....... why the question? -
Physical age vs. Soul age
Ninpo-me-this-ninjutsu-me-that replied to Mestena's topic in General Discussion
It's common, don't think about it too much. Sounds like you will both continue to enjoy each others company a lot. You know in general the big issue is usually social acceptance, frankly speaking social acceptance is something to go beyond, not something to bow down to(just my opinion). But, you may well find from his point of view, maybe career wise, that it may not be an out in the open thing. You should find this out first, to save yourself any possible disappointment/heartache. As long as both people understand from the beginning what is expected from each other, and will be possible/not possible within the framework of that relationship, then it's all well and good, and no ones business but your own. If he's a good guy, he will deal with your concerns directly, without giving a politicians answer, meaning he wont avoid your questions with non-committal responses; if he does give you non-committal responses then I'd be a bit careful if I were you. -

As long as your roughly 20+ it shouldn't really matter. Don't expect it to be necessarily long term though, not impossible mind you. By long term I'm meaning resulting in marriage by the way. -

Dr. Morris's Secret Smile & Breathing basic KAP 1 (Giri for the Tao Bumbs : ) )

Things that go BUMP in the night Bumped for a related question on another thread. -
If you wanna know partially what kind of thing KAP is about then you can get this book first.... http://www.amazon.com/Path-Notes-American-...5852&sr=8-1 Path Notes Of an American Ninja Master/Dr. Glenn Morris..... it's not really about Ninjutsu...then again it is....and then it isn't again. Read the reviews.... but remember..... it's a great book His student Santiago is knocking about here somewhere and he's a very nice man. Answered a question that had been bugging me about practice for some time. He didn't have to do that for free. Edit: I just noticed Santiagos' Dr. Morris secret smile thread on page one of the board. You can check that out for some free flavour.

Oh your'e really hurting my head now....... thinking about your wave/particle duality raisins is a conundrum that's gonna last me a lifetime Ya, I'm not so keen on proving stuff to myself with a generality, I have done it related to specific sums of money within a specific time frame and have been successful with it. The amount of money being a highly unlikely sum to ever find. I don't include for myself proof positive if it comes from other angles, ie. more work and so more money. Some kind of law of attraction does exist. But it's way easier to fulfill a need rather than a want. Your example seems pretty conclusive to me. That Guy....your back, as leader(reinstated)of the 'non-delusional enlightenment system TM' you have been neglecting your duties quite considerably.... I hope your not expecting any 'donations' from the societies coffers for your proceeding months absence. I have been diligently practicing your patented 'narutard' systemand I can now with confidence blow fire out of my back passage, I do need to have prepared with several curries a day before, and I will be needing the use of a lighter(but only for aesthetic purposes you understand). I can do this at will, I have fulfilled all the requirements. I should state though that the curry is only an offering to the gods and in no way dependent on me producing a flame from my rectum. -
Honestly I have no idea.... but I will say this to the ladies... if you ever want a man to agree to something he wouldn't normally agree to just stick ya finger up his bum in the right place for a while then he'll say yes to whatever you want! I would have agreed to marriage in that state!!! Well said! I didn't mean to imply they did. I don't recommend it at all. I spent all afternoon happily clothes shopping, it's not an experience I care to repeat. Steer clear is what I say.
-
I don't know about cross dressing, but having a finger shoved up ya back passage certainly helped me understand what It might be like to be a female. My girlfriend wanted to give it a whirl, and I figured, what the hell, you only live once right(reincarnation aside). In any case I've never been much of a back passage existentialist(I don't know what that means either)so I was kind of curious you know, I'd heard some talk of the prostate but never really had a clue what that was all about. Anyway, cut a long and graphic story short I ended up having a bum orgasm..... that sounds bad..... I've never felt so vulnerable in all my life, I 'spose you would really when somethings up there. After, it really annoyed me that she then didn't give me a nice cuddle, I was really pissed off about that and moaned almost uncontrollably for about ten minutes, I was most upset! New experience for me, I'm all for the roll over and sleep routine. I had bum repercussions for hours after, it was most disconcerting, my emotions were all over the place. I don't know if it helps opening the heart, but it definitely taught me a lesson about what it might possibly be like being female being controlled from the inside. I really admire women much more now, I don't know how you all do it. Much respect. ps. I'm sure there are easier ways to open the heart. I don't think I'm gonna try that again..... (the perfect smiley face for this post...somewhat similar to my own expression at the time)

It is a well know fact that Lao tzu used spoons in ancient China on at least two occasions , further more it has been proven by Chinese historians that confuscious was an avid user of spoons, even though Taoism and Confuscianism are, some might say, diametrically oppossed. 1.3 billion Chinese also make use of spoons on a daily basis! Spoons have been at the forefront of all spiritual cultures for, up to, at least a thousand years!(..or so) Witness the spoon bending scene in the film the matrix, what exactly was the significance of the spoon???? It has been postulated that the universe is doughnut shaped, but could it be, that, in fact, it is spoon shaped!??? Why was it when the first Europeans landed in 'the land of the braves', that they were shocked to find that the natives had already used ....the symbol of the spoon. Thousands of us make use of a spoon on an almost daily basis. WHY? The famous mystic spoon bender Uri Gellar was well known for spoon bending, but why a spoon, why not a knife or a hamburger for that matter? What secret does he know that we are not party to? Has anyone else at Taobums noticed a connection between spoons and Daoist thought? Are there any who have, in fact, practiced 'shao tian gong fu'(sky spoon skills)? I will let you be the judge! Any thoughts that can further explain the importance of spoons in spiritual circles would be greatly appreciated. Uri Gellar, spoon expert.

Are you a Daoist Spoon?

You've hit the spoon on the bowl with your summary. A wet fish was perhaps the only thing I didn't get hit with. Flexible implements were the most sort after, with a special Saturday matinee called 'wooden clothes brush'. If I ever find my commemorative spoon(doubtful)you can have mine. -

LOL....... I admire that kind of commitment. What hurts my brain though is wondering if the act of purchasing the ticket attracted the transport authorities to you I used to do the same with parking spaces/traffic wardens. Very effective...... I can't recall ever getting a ticket using that method. -
Sexual teachings of the White Tigress

awww, come on, spill the beans, surely you can't have a Chinese system of sex without the energetic component. They wouldn't leave that out, it's gotta be there somewhere man surely, the symbolisms there, green dragon/white tiger. Come on Loke...where's the juicy stuff -
A thousand identical mice is a confucian ideal. And so is the majority of structure leads to perfection confician at its roots. Daoism advocates removal of the conditioned structure that society has created within a person thus revealing their true, natural expression and nature. Confucianism says create the external structure ie. laws, rules and morals and then the inner character will mold itself to them, hopefully creating an upstanding person. Conficuian ideals and Daoist ideals are mixed up all the time due to them being side by side within Chinese culture. Although I do agree structure is needed.... but not forever. I have trained with traditional teachers who have stayed within the framework of their arts, and to be frank they were much poorer martial arts wise(if we talking martial arts)than the ones who created part of their own interpretation. There are many weaknesses in many martial arts, but then it does depend what your focus of training is, I think if the main focus is cultivation then absolutely one strict system can suit many for a lifetime or more. Your Tai chi story doesn't surprise me at all, internal martial arts are in a world of their own in my opinion and cannot be judged in the normal physical fashion as they go much deeper than the ones they simply focus on the external side. I think there comes a point Taomeow where we can already tell, we're simply not going to agree on certain points. I do see what your saying, but I just think what you mean is confucian, not Daoist. I would say though, I don't agree that a person should start learning from nothing, or a mish mash of no consequence, I do think structure is important, but only up to a point. You chose your structure.....you chose to follow it. Millions of Chinese don't have that luxury, and I can assure you I don't see that as much of a benefit to them, however, that is a bit broader than the specific subjects we're talking about. You know this is gonna just end up as splitting hairs..... we're never gonna agree. I do have a question though, I'm real curious if you are a Virgo...it's off topic I know.... but my curiosity in that respect has peaked I didn't say there wasn't a tradition of subjective and objective art. That would be ridiculous. My point was the 'techniques' are not taught from the beginning(ie young age), whereas in China technique is taught 'first'....at the very beginning. If you disagree then perhaps your level of artistic training from a young age was completely different from what I experienced in my country, and if that's so, I'm actually exceptionally happy about that. Frankly speaking the level of teaching whereby actual techniques are concerned in England is absolutely dire, I've never met anyone who's said different, if I ever do meet anyone who says different then I can only say they must have had a fantastic teacher, and I wish I would have had their teacher.

Are you a Daoist Spoon?
Ninpo-me-this-ninjutsu-me-that replied to Ninpo-me-this-ninjutsu-me-that's topic in General Discussion
I have noticed that Eagleshen has disappeared, without a trace, ain't that just like a spoon master, he took up the spoon, used it and then when it's use had been fulfilled, simply waked away from the spoon. It's a valuable lesson for all us aspiring spoons; which leads me smoothly onto my next subject: 'Coveting thy Commemorative Spoon' Let me tell you a story, and yes, I know, as spoonites you will be affecting a somewhat disinterested/aloof yet still listening form of gait, so let me begin: Years ago, when I was a lad, my mother bought me a rather attractive commemorative spoon(it's really true). This spoon commemorated the wedding between prince Charlie and Lady Diana, who became known as the 'princess of whales', due to her overriding love of the species I should imagine. In any case, it was a truly handsome spoon, with both their heads on the handle end; if memory serves me correctly it was also silver plated. You can imagine a young lads excitement upon receiving such a spoon, I ran up and down the street for days proudly displaying my spoon for all to see. Yet, there is always someone wanting to piss on your 'spoon parade' in life, and one such person pointed out a serious flaw in my spoon that day, a flaw that, bizzarely, I had not noticed. He simply said one sentence, a sentence that is etched in my memory to this day, he said, "the spoon end of your spoon is almost flat, it's f*kin' useless!". As a tear began to role down my rosy red cheek, I could see that although his words were callous and definitely not in the spirit of a royal wedding, they were, in fact, true. I ran home, spoon in hand, as fast as I could. Upon arriving home, against my mothers wishes, I proceeded to attempt to use the spoon to eat various foods. I first attempted steak, it didn't work! Then I tried bread, it merely slid off, noodles, apples, caviar all the same. About the only thing my spoon was useful for was strawberry mouse. I cannot say were I to attempt Chocolate mouse I would have been successful, as my mother had placed a ban on all Chocolate related products within the household due to her fear that the over farming of the cocoa bean would lead to its eventual extinction. Years passed and the spoon had simply been placed in its commemorative box gathering dust. One day I went to find it, looking to re-live my childhood spoon glory, yet it was nowhere to be found. I had, of course moved onto other spoons by that point, spoons more suitable to my personality and needs. I looked everywhere, but it was gone, I'm pretty sure my brother pinched it, either that or a neighbour(thou shalt not covet thy neighbours spoon)after feeling quite dejected(it was worth a bit of money by that point)I simply resigned myself to the loss. In following years I also noticed a rather strange phenomena, when I was without a spoon three would enter my life at the same time, I guess it goes back to the old saying 'Spoons are like buses, you wait a long time for one and then three come along at the same time'. The point of this story, if there is one, is that when a spoon is no longer actually useful it should simply be let go of, there will always be other spoons. A further point would be not to become so attached and proud of your spoon as someone else is sure to find fault with it, and as the spoon has become a direct expression of yourself in feeling you will take great offence. There will always be people suggesting "my spoon is bigger than your spoon", 'spoon envy', and in point of fact unless your willing to suffer the possible shame of whipping out your spoon in a public place how could you ever know the truth, and how does one define a better spoon anyway, length, width, girth or swiss army knife special features? I hope this short post has been as useless to you as it has been for me, as I would hate to think I'm the only one wasting my time. Neichuan: The Tibetan spoon was the argument clincher in my view. It was definitely spiritual and Tibetan....the two are inextricably linked. It was rudely ignored. Just how can we have an intelligent debate when people ignore pictures of spiritual spoons!! -
Ya, it's not a problem. Forget about it. You know I understand what your saying exactly, it's kind of the systematic approach Vs. the artistic approach. I believe tradition teaches the structure and creates a useful framework in order to grow and experience and understand the system, but after some years the practitioner goes into the area of art, at that time the rules kind of fall away....I'm not saying that is what should be taught to someone just starting out though, and not everyone even chooses that way either. There's kind of an east/west thing going on too. In western art in the beginning students are actually taught minimal drawing/painting techniques, and are more or less told to sit down and get on with drawing/painting a picture, it's at much later stages they learn a wide variety of techniques. The Chinese way of teaching art is more systematic, the techniques are taught and the exact way to draw a particular thing is also shown/replicated. If you were to compare the drawings of 30 high school Chinese students of a mouse you would be shocked to see, almost certainly, each picture is exactly the same, it's a rare student that would deviate from what they were taught in China. Only when an artist can exactly replicate a painting of one of the previous Chinese master painters is he considered/respected as an artist, only then can they move on to true individual expression and be respected for it. This is completely opposite to the western method, it would drive most westerners crazy with boredom.....and yes, they would feel their freedom was being restricted, so I see what your saying exactly. I wouldn't have posed the question in the way I did had I been using the I ching for a short time, it's simply my own interpretation of the possibility within it. lol, that's a bang on interpretation by the I Ching but for reasons other than the question posed. After posting to apepch7 that I had got the same hexagram before, or others with a similar theme, as in 'do nothing' I kind of felt it was pointless to go on with expecting an unbiased interpretation, as anyone asking may have a pre-conceived notion of what the answer may be. So, I wiped the previous symbols intent I had placed within it, you know, a lot of people around here can 'read' stuff, somewhat directly too, and as it was a private question I didn't wanna leave it hanging out there. I removed the intent I placed within in, so 'one has washed the hands but not made the offering' is exactly right, the question was washed/wiped so there is no offering(question). Very impressive I must say, 10 out of 10 to the I ching!!

Ya, I don't know what it exactly effects, that's just stuff I've heard or read, not even my personal opinion. But I still think you should be a bit careful man. Seriously. You may seriously fry something, either that or you'll become a superhero 'electroman'. Then you'll be doomed to walk the streets of America just like Bruce/David Banner until someone makes you angry...... or maybe it might be excited, it's a different energy after all 'Don't make me excited, you wouldn't like me when I'm excited!' sounds kind of cool though. It was one hand, ya it was in England. It was one finger shoved in the socket. My other arm kind of did a mad dance as did the rest of my body, I still don't know how I pulled away, I really don't, it felt like I couldn't. It traveled up my arm and just before it reached the heart I pulled off. It was ***king painful, seriously bad. I can only describe it as something similar to when you hit the funny bone in your elbow really hard but all over the arm and moving onwards. I don't care to ever experience that again. -

That means he could probably kill a man with a spoon! I never realized the true marblehead spoon connection until now, to think I actually believed he used that spoon to eat his peanut butter, I'm so naive. Now I know why the special forces are issued with spoons! Just how deep does this rabbit void/hole/spoon go??? -
Ya, exactly I found it just started saying what I wanted it to, so this is kind of a backtrack for me because I am no longer objective. It was a question that has been around for a long time, and each time either with that hexagram or another with changing lines it would more or less say the same thing(I have had that exact hexagram and changing line before)ie. do nothing. I don't like doing nothing, as doing something, anything, seems way better to me. But there you go, the advice is the advice. I was getting opposite readings myself, which tied right in with what I wanted to do, so I kind of realized I was influencing it too much myself. Thanks again
