  1. So what exactly is meant by non-dualism?
  2. While I'm not familiar with some of the other things that you mentioned I don't see how dependent origination relates to non-duality?
  3. I noticed here I keep hearing dualism versus non-dualism used in a Buddhist context which is interesting because to my knowledge I have never read of the Buddha discussing this in any of the suttas. I thought this was a Hindu concept.
  4. What are the mechanics behind chanting?

I think I'm finding that the vast majority of mantras actually let me feel pretty bad and there's a very few that actually do help me but the ones that do help me seem to help a lot.
  5. When you realize you can't control the mind then you can realize the mind is not self and then you realize what needs to be realized. 😌

    1. What's high? 2. What's mind? 3. What's human?
  14. Buddhist meditations for fear and pain.

Amateurs mistake. Everyone knows it's a big ball of cheese. 😊🧀
  15. Buddhist meditations for fear and pain.

It's good that you're paying attention to your body because some advice that's out there which I believe to be poor advice is just to blaze through these things but meditation can actually have very adverse side effects for some people and you should definitely listen to your body.
  16. There's not a specific meditation for this but Buddhist meditation in general can see through the false self that we create.
  17. Buddhist meditations for fear and pain.

Yes that can happen. If it does you should back off a bit.
  18. Buddhist meditations for fear and pain.

That would be exactly how I describe it as well.
  19. How to become awakened

  20. How to become awakened

  21. How to become awakened

Maybe not but over the years there have been "sales people" that come through here and they usually have websites to check out and I think people become a bit Jaded.
  22. Buddhist meditations for fear and pain.

OMG same! lol *was even on the MMA path at the time.
  23. How to become awakened

I think Tibetan Buddhism became more well known and widespread in the West because of the Tibetan diaspora after the invasion.
  24. How to become awakened
