Or are you talking about the MCO? I used to do that a while back until I read that Bill Brodi said it was not a good idea.
  4. Wai Dan

I needle the points for them. Not sure if that's what you mean?
  5. Wai Dan

Learned a lot about those in Acupuncture school and I very frequently use them when I'm treating patients.
  6. Filling the Dan Tien

I've noticed sometimes my LDT starts buzzing or vibrating even when I'm not actively breathing into it but like spontaneously and I wonder why this is?
  7. Wai Dan

As a TCM practitioner I would like to know more about this difference. Maybe that's why I've been confused when I hear terms like opening the channels because from a TCM point of view if your channels weren't open you wouldn't be alive.
  8. Jesus Christ

In John 10:34 Jesus said "Is it not written in your Law, 'I have said you are gods?' Does this seem to indicate Jesus believed and taught non-dualism in a very dualistic culture and most likely why he was executed?
  9. Chanting

I'll share my personal experiences with the chants and mantras I've done the most. 1. Zhunti: it works but its really rough, even to the point of having physical side effects. 2. Nam Myoho Renge Kyo: very effective. Seems to increase optimism and I've had it playing in the back ground during more than one important decision event like a job interview or a hearing and often had a favorable outcome. 3. Vajrapani.: very good at clearing negative energy, sometimes the effects are almost immediate. 4. Green Tara: can be very comforting when over whelmed. 5. Om Mani Padme Hum: very useful when I either need help showing or feeling compassion for myself or others. 6. Amitofo: Tends to calm me down if feeling anxious or overly excited. Also helps reduce lust. 7. Medicine Buddha mantra: helpful for physical aliments, or stress.
  10. To risk paraphrasing poorly I think the DDJ says the Dao or the Universe or nature is rather indifferent.
  11. Wai Dan

Might be one of the Taoism/Daoism, Chi/Qi type things. Nevertheless I corrected it.
  12. Money

I'd know it worked though lol
  13. Money

I'd only buy a money charm off of a billionaire lol
  14. I know most of the right things to say, so I could pose as enlightened on an internet forum fairly well myself, but if someone were to dunk me in a river I probably wouldn't seem quite as enlightened.
  15. Wai Dan

Yes I was quite disappointed when I went there to do a few meditation retreats.
  16. Wai Dan

Yeah at my local monastery there is an American monk that spent time in Burma but he is very dismissive of their folk traditions as just primitive superstition.
  17. Wai Dan

I had no idea the Theravada were doing anything remotely like this at all!
  18. Wai Dan

There are less extreme and dangerous methods as well. I have used several methods to work on opening various channels that are not as hard core.
  19. Wai Dan

I agree that its hard to find discussion about, and that it can be dangerous. I wonder what it was about Cinnabar that they ancient Daoist alchemists found so fascinating? Unless they just told that to Emperors they didn't like to get them off the throne.
  20. Money

Yes the root chakra is something I've pondered often. The root chakra is something I've worked on in the past but I've not seem to made much progress with it for what ever reason.
  21. I seek power

I must have been tired last night because now in the morning after a full nights sleep this is so obviously satire lol. It had been a long day lol.
  22. I seek power

Probably about the same amount of time Bruce Lee trained a day.
  23. What do you base this statement on?
  24. Money

To be honest I'm not really sure why I feel the way I do about money.
  25. I seek power

Let's say you get all the power you want, then what? I seek peace.
