Sorry dude but transmission from the right master can go a long way especially if the "chela" actually practices. Experience is the greatest teacher & repetition is the mother of all skill. Understanding how to use your crown chakra , Heart Chakra (hands included) is a powerful thing & most do not want to face the fact that its about simplicity and sincerity & not ego etc. You connect to your most highest source or your most higherself or the Divine and then let it be. It will flow. Ofcourse you must still develop your breath etc. There are good reiki teachers and there are bad ones trick is to trust your gut. As I have said before I have had good results including on some folks here who needed my assistance in the past. And yes if you truly know how you just have to ask the Divine it what will be will be. I never had any issues with Reiki. it works great if you use do Chi Kung aswell or Tenaga Dalam. It is similar (Reiki) to stuff I learned from my Bonpo lama. So ye sits very "connected" to how things are done in tibetan hands on healing. I can confirm that. Also the symbols are not that "off" to some tibetan symbols & native american stuff. If you combine with various breathing methods you get a powerful combo. My son was able to make a light bulb unbreakable using just reiki alone after a 5 min treatment to the lightbulb. We threw it againt concrete wall 6 x it didn't break. I have had good success healing friends & family of all sorts of issues ranging from physical to emotional to mental to spiritual. Here is the deal you want it to work? 1)Let go Keep your self in lower dan tien and relax. 2) Ask the Creator & Higher self to guide you & Thanks them for the guidance. 3) Breath deep & relax 4) Be rooted to the Earth (She has her own "Reiki" or healing power) 5) Draw from Heaven & Earth. 6) Do no expect just be neutral and smile. Too much force will get you NO WHERE in healing. 7) be a facilitator to the client/patient. Reiki is just a name given to this force but even Reiki itself is about going beyond the energy and draw from the source. 11) Symbols work good but intention works best. 12) be from the heart. 13) attunements work best if you let the higherself work through you. 14) do not stress over "seeing" or feeling energy move from one point to another, that can actualy become a strain on your channels better to just relax into your being. Maha Guru Stevan Plinck is a Great Silat player. I think his skills are high level for sure. I know him and My Guru are close & I know he knows that Guru Cliff "knows" as well. I do not want people to believe. I do what I do and offer insight to those that are sincere. Take it or leave it. I have been blessed with great teachers and some of them are real deal. If Ilmu Kebatinan was not important to learn for the Silat player then why is it such a guarded secret? Why is it so present in all Javanese/sundanese systems? As for Alex Kozma I would go an see him or watch video he is very (High Level) good. As I said before you need both sides of the coin if you want the "real Deal". Anyhow peace to you. well FMA's roots are deeply indonesian Silat. And then Spanish stuff comes in after the fact.

Ask Alex Kozma if Simon Das makes his students "Cooperate". I did not pre plan or ask students of mine to "Cooperate". Anyhow peace to you. CMA is similar but different to Pencak Silat. Even in the way "energy" occurs etc. I am not sure why you mentioned Guru Steve or need to mention. Did you mean Guru Plinck? Anyhow I still suggest that dabbling is not enough to understand Silat. Brother you are always welcomed. You should plan for next years silat camp. its all based on Geometry & the laws of physics. You learn to fight using straight lines, triangles, squares, diamonds, crosses, zig zags, 90 degree staircases, circles, with in those symbols of shapes you learn to find the complimentary angles and "hash Marks" & you learn to exploit them for takedowns, target selection, manipulation of energy, Locks, movement Evasion, offense/defense, strikes, kicks, Multiple attackers etc. That is a great way to put it. With silat there is no GUESS WORK. It all falls into place based on physics, and feeling. Not sure that it does other than the Moros (Moors) probably left some silat in spain and then that got filtered into spanish fencing. Peace Santiago

Buddy Your original post came across as an ass. I hope this is not the "Old man" Bud Thompson that my students thought was a nice guy at the sera camp last weekend....If so that would be a let down. I am glad you meant no disrespect. You have to understand the culture to truly make a proper assesment. To say the internal is not real well go see for yourself go face to face with a Javanese master such as Guru Ipin or Pa Harold Koning. Last fight Guru Koning had was in his late 60's he knocked the guy out in less than 10 seconds. I think for someone who is a "Dabbler" it still is not enough for you to say what is and what isn't when it comes to Silat. There is MUCH to Silat a lot of us "westerners do not know nor truly do. I would do as I did and as Guru Cliff did which is to RESEARCH. I have seen and felt enough to know what is real and what is not. Even Guru Cliff knows that there is more to the art than the "external". Just ask him give him a call. Or go see him. Ilmu is not the End of all ENDS & Neither is Combat for that matter. Its the combination of both. I have used both and both have served me well in the real world (Thank God). Ilmu works on its own but it has to be cultivated and takes effort most americans do not want to put in & also requires a "self" surrender towards the almighty aswell which most americans can not wrap their heads on. I would love to see you survive Guru Cliff or Guru Pa Harold Koning or Guru Ipin and see if Ilmu & Combat are not a deadly combination.
