In Buddhist practice, the letter 'A' is deemed to be the mother of all the letters. If one breathes out with an open mouth, the sound is 'A', or sometimes, 'A h'. Its the first sound of a newborn (in cries) and also the sound of the last breath leaving the body at death. Again, in Buddhist mantric practice, 'A' is the essence of all mantras. On the side of esoteric Buddhist practice, the meaning of 'A' is anutpada, or that which is unarisen and primordial. 'A' is also the seed syllable (bija) of Mahavairocana as the Dharmakaya Buddha. some trivial facts to add to the mix.

Sometimes it would take many, many years for difficult relationships to resolve, and in some instances, they never do, until death parts each other. Rather unfortunate. In my limited view, for resolution to have a chance to evolve, i would tend to encourage increased concentration on pacifying one's basic and subtle desires so that when this particular fire is extinguished, the fruit would be the extinction of reactionary tendencies, and when reactionary tendencies have been tamed, then whatever arises outside of oneself ceases to perturb and displace one's equilibrium, and fundamentally, it is this equilibrium which would ultimately be responsible for creating a space for the other person to be able to see that there is actually a way out of self-inflicted aggression. Please note that i am not offering advice. Merely speaking from my own shallow experience with such encounters.

Its hopeful that the mods will take action against this undesirable remark which not only serves no useful purpose, but is completely devoid of even the slightest hint of adding to the flavour of peace which one would think forms the basis of self- and other-acceptance.

The point most relevant to this discussion with Rongzom Fan is found under the section The First Link: Unawareness. If you consider deeply what the author wrote, then you will get a better picture of what is being debated here.
