  1. In the freest things lie the most profound, most structured patterns, seemingly invisible to the less free. migrating birds never get lost. physical bodies operate without the need for conscious effort. etc..
  2. If you think you possess a degree or two of creative impulse, and would like to learn a useful skill with fair benefits on more than a few levels, you ought to consider taking up cooking classes and see if its your cup of tea. Skilled chefs are always in demand, and even average chefs, willing to work hard (lots of overtime in this profession) can avail of a good income. I have chef friends who work on ships, and they earn between 4 to 7 thousand euros per month. (and thats at junior sous chef level). Chef de partie grades can earn between 3 to 5k, and commis chefs start at around 2k. Thats way more than land-based work anytime. Plus, think of the perks... free travel, free medical, free food and lodging, and hardly have time to spend your dosh. With a bit of patience and perseverance, 3 years is all it takes to become financially sound. You can always bring your didgeridoo along to entertain your new-found mates!

  6. Ok. That ties in with 'horizontal eyes' then. Just one aspect became more evident. I would love to visit St. Peter's (not the brewery) some day. Lucky you.
  7. Why is that? Spirituality can be wild too, no? Like the raging seas at times. Although the highest peak of the sacred mountain has been ascended, There is still a mysterious subtlety beyond -- eyes are horizontal, nose is vertical. (Dogen)
  8. Discuss beds with me

I have always wanted to live in a camper! My idea of freedom.. Anyways, if you could, try to look for a latex mattress or padding. Not sure what part of the world you're in (i think its not widely available) but if you can get this material, its so very comfortable/durable its amazing! When its cool, it keeps you warm, and when its warm, it feels cool. More importantly, its really good for posture maintenance, plus other secondary benefits, like keeping away microbial stuff and dust mites, au naturel. I used to sleep on these mattresses growing up, and now, after years of obsessing over spring mattresses, i think my next buy will be latex again. (sigh, unfortunately, they're rather expensive over here in Europe). info page: http://www.healthyfoundations.com/latex.html
  9. "Gazing into the ancient mirror, form and reflection see each other. You are clearly it, but it is not you." -- Dogen Good wishes on your reflections.
  10. Extending Your Sitting Meditation Time

even when homeless with both body mind peaceful hands become my eyes.. (thank you for sharing and for feeling deeply about the unfortunate encounter, Nanashi!)
  14. You could end up a very busy man, Apech. So much to guard against, more coming in time. I am suggesting there could be alternatives.
  15. Yes, useful for what is a good question to ask, Miss K. Sifting thru and determining information, and all its implied uses, levels and validity, requires expansive energetic outputs, a precious resource indeed.
  16. Living intuitively encapsulates thinking without attachment, not not thinking. Can you say in all honesty that this specific 'meaningful' discussion actually makes a difference to you, personally, Apech? If so, i'd be interested to hear what useful benefit(s) this discussion has brought and will bring to you. I
  17. This post smacks of arrogance, like most of poster's other posts. Its better to live intuitively than rely on information, which is almost always either wrong or does not stay informative for long. So many would actually be living their lives right now based on information which is already past and outdated. Most of your information which you believe is relevant is also outdated and useless, so, why pay attention? There are other more meaningful things to devote one's time to, like gardening, for example, or tending to fish ponds, like MH. At the end of the day, its not what happens 'out there' (like your excitable notions about this latest development in the Church), but what happens 'in there' in reaction to what happens 'out there' that counts more. Some would like to remain above the noise and haste, as it were.
  18. It all stems from callous ignorance. My friend who recently passed away (suicide) was a lesbian. Another friend told me that they had already met one another some 12 years ago, and felt she was always tormented inside, even though exteriorly she mostly appeared cheerful and carefree. She turned to find solace in alcohol. Each time she wanted someone to really listen, it conveniently happened in alcohol-fueled surrounds, and, sadly, the problem simply compounded to such an extent where she felt the only way 'out' was to end her own life. I remember Vmarco hinted something that people should kill themselves. His kind is the worst of the lot. And the cheek of it to label himself as 'superior' to others makes me want to puke sometimes. Hitler mentality, imo. What's more amazing is the fact that Cat actually step up to 'save face' for him. Life is strange.
  19. 30 Million modern slaves -- most being trafficked around the globe by sinister syndicates that fly beneath radars. Sometimes love works too well, cos there are so many vulnerable sorts who fall prey to even a little 'love'. http://www.notforsalecampaign.org/about/slavery/ (sorry Seth, a bit off-t but i know it means a lot to you..)
  20. Surprised that there was mention of a first prize in some writing contest judged by eminent professors.
  21. Buddha kept silent about God

Spot on! As Lin said, expedient means abound!! With the right view, everything can be used wisely, as 'means'. Then setbacks will no longer be seen as such, and one can unknot the mind-body continuum with greater and greater ease, until the whole river of dualistic outflows finally meet the sea, and suddenly realize it was never ever separated in the first place!

but still have no score roundabouts leads one nowhere - anticipation...
  23. In your current state, you are taking so much pride in your own delusion that you have failed to differentiate between honest appraisal and ad hominem, throwing that term around as if... i said your English was bad. Hello like. (Malachi, prophesy, Seyshelles.. and a few others here and there). Please report the ad hom. Thanks.
  24. Not only French, you dont seem to fare too well in English (spelling) either.
  25. Dick-pouch.. you found the right one for its intended user. (apologies if i got the name wrong, but it does look like one, with that piece drooping over like that )
