Too bad for Trump's sullied history as a sexual predator. Did he really expect to avoid being collateral damage in this superstorm of MeToo just because he is the president? Maybe he is still under the delusion that its just all about him. Could be that he feeds off and thrives on dark energy. There are people like that. If he hadn't conveniently lost his moral compass he could have easily become a champion of this new wave of women empowerment movement and use this to leverage his position as a real president, get new support and expand his base with ease. Great opportunity down the drain. His tarnished image is so easily fed upon by his 'enemies'. He can claim all the fakeness of these revelations as he likes - truth will prevail in the end. Its common knowledge what kind of a misogynistic Snafu he is, and the sort of major hang-ups he has about women, so its no surprise he's being bitten in the arse.

Aren't the both of you basically saying the same thing?

Sounds like your store-keeper has a great sense of humour a short screwpine aka pandan leaves intro

to really do justice to curries, i would add a pinch of salt, a teaspoon of coconut oil and 2 tablespoons of coconut milk when boiling rice to go with what curry I find myself making. Sometimes i'd add a screwpine leaf too when they happen to be available in the Asian store. The subtle oils from the screwpine mixed into anything containing coconut is simply divine!

Lol saffron... expensive taste! I sometimes add extra turmeric (some already blended in to the curry powder), and pretend its saffron.. hehehe

I made a Sri Lankan-influenced dhal (lentils) curry today, to last over a few meals. It was really delicious, with very basic ingredients like onions, garlic, ginger, lemongrass, green chillies, curry leaves, mustard seeds, one stick of cinnamon and one star anise to fry at the start, followed by a garam masala paste, curry powder, a dollop of english mustard, soya sauce and finally coconut milk. Teaspoon of sugar, chicken stock and pinch of salt to tweak the flavour. No pics, sorry.

HI Bui, and welcome to TDB. Spent part of my childhood in Katong where my grandparents lived. Love Singapore! Such a vibrantly multi-cultured melting pot.

Fear not. In higher buddhatantras there are similies made to Vishnu as an all-pervading principle. For example: "Having cognised essential reality itself, The purity devoid of fixation and so forth, Being without self (grasping) or afflictions, I am therefore called Vishnu."

Its uncertain that one can find the term 'immortal' in any of the texts relating to the 3 kayas. Maybe its there. I haven't read all the texts. I think the phrase applied in Buddhism most akin to the concept of immortality is Tathata. Similar attributions but subtle differentiations.
-
Even immortals will one day exhaust their seemingly endless existences and be reborn as humans on their way to final emancipation. According to Buddhist notions pertaining to the above, human birth is the most conducive and most precious of birth next to buddhahood. In other words, immortals cannot become buddhas without first becoming humans, and humans that gain immortality will still retain the karma that will lead to rebirth in the human realm at some point. Only buddhas attain the final extinguishment and be free of the wheel of samsara. This will explain why Buddhist practitioners do not share the idea that immortality is the highest aim, and therefore it is not accurate to suggest the question why Buddhists mistake that enlightenment is final. The reason for this has been explained above. It is not a mistake for those who practice the Buddhist path.

the victims will do the proving, dont you worry about that.

Wont be the least bit surprised if he wins seeing that America already voted for a sexual predator to be president.

That only applies if misconception is proven first, and intent, thereafter. You can run this by your friends in the legal field.

Im not sure why an omission of information in this case has been construed as a lie. A lie by definition is something said, not something that was not said. In this particular case, she omitted saying that she added notes below Moore's signed autograph. Adding notes is a fairly common practice (I did some on my school annuals too). Then there is the question of intent that needs to be given due consideration as well, but we need to be clear what a lie actually is. Embellishment? maybe - augmentation? certainly. Lie? hmm.. I can see that the handwriting and signature is identical.

acts of penance are quite a universal religious theme, but I know for sure its not part of the Dharma that Buddha taught, although I can understand why some *Buddhist adepts will deviate from the concept of renunciation which is central to the teachings.

Warm-ups and stretches are always good. If you had done that maybe the injury could have been avoided. Glucosamine/chondrotin supplement should speed up the healing.

Any traditional Thai massage service near you? Most of them stock therapeutic balms and liniments from Thailand, and they might have some for sale. Better than alcohol. Their massage therapy is really good too.

I see the difficulty alright. Are you taking any supplements for the knees then? Swimming will be great, but I suppose that's an issue for you too, seeing you can't get to a gym.

If you are restricted to only home workout, i'd recommend checking out Yantra Yoga. Couple this with about a hundred prostrations a day. If you have to pick just one, do the prostrations. Its my main exercise routine, besides swimming and walking. In the warmer months I do some biking too. Im coming to 58, with a lean frame (not thin), practically no fat, toned body, and with abs maintained since i was 15. Prostrations! The best workout. Do a long session in the morning, one in the afternoon, and a shorter one in the evening.
