  1. Being Banned from Taobums

Greetings.. Psychic attacks? Demons?... WTF... spend some time in 'reality' and those dark imaginings will vanish.. Be well...
  2. how to erase bad karma

Greetings.. Deeds are the signature of the soul.. through your deeds you 'define' yourself, that is the recollection others will have of you.. i do not hold a definition of 'myself', each moment is a re-creation of my relationship with the process.. i do accept the inclination of others to recall their experiences relative to my deeds and hold that recollection as 'defining'.. Be well..
  3. Jeff Primack

Greetings.. I have met Mr. Primack.. i have worked with several of his salaried instructors, and.. after a few relatively minor corrections to the 'form', they report a much greater flow and sensitivity of their energy systems.. The 'form', as presented by the instructors, is not for 'general' QiGong use, but.. it does have very specific uses, for very specific purposes.. The 'form' presented by Mr. Primack's salaried instructors was consistent between instructors and very specific, but.. this 'form' actually creates blockages which, when released, gives the practitioner a fairly tangible sensation of Qi.. in short, it seems that the goal is to give the practitioner a tangible 'feeling', regardless of the benefit or lack thereof for the practitioner.. it is this 'feeling' that captures the imagination of the practitioner that is unfamiliar with QiGong, but.. there is very little benefit, if any, from the 'form' as i have experienced it.. The instructors i have worked with indicate that Mr. Primack is knowledgable of very beneficial QiGong systems and of correct form for general energy cultivation, but.. that is reserved for higher level students and instructors.. i did not ask, nor am i concerned with the cost for receiving 'correct' instruction.. the issue is 'if' Mr. Primack presents forms that can be harmful to the novice just for the 'feeling', that is unethical.. i have practiced QiGong for more than 20 years and teach it as a part of my classes in Taijiquan.. i favor Dragon Gate QiGong, Eight Pieces of the Brocade, Yi Jin Jing, and the Chen Style Silk Reeling exercises for cultivating and circulating Qi.. the Taiji Symbol training as taught by Dr. Yang Jwing-Ming and his Taiji Ball exercises are also excellent Qi enhancing forms.. Dr. Yang's Embryonic Breathing is a remarkable system, too.. Mr. Primack is a marketing genius, cobbling together a series of of exercises that produce some tangible feelings related to Qi, and being able to acheive this feeling in a short time, but.. my most favorable perception of Mr. Primack is that when his traveling "QiGong" show comes to town, there will be a few people who, after 'feeling' the Qi, search for authentic QiGong.. and, in the central Florida area, we are fortunate to have quite a few very advanced teachers, so.. those who are truly interested in authentic QiGong will find a credible teacher with their interests and well-being in mind.. I hope those interested in QiGong will do the necessary research to reveal the most appropriate QiGong for their interest.. Be well..
  4. how to erase bad karma

Greetings.. First, don't buy into the Karma concept.. realize that each transition through the ongoing process of Creation is an opportunity to change, an opportunity to redefine 'who you are'.. Karma is a self-fulfilling prophesey, a placebo with no basis for its existence.. Define yourself, or others will do it for you.. Be well..
  5. "there is such a self"

Greetings.. "All problems"? This is the essential error of Buddhist belief, there is no room for 'truth', Buddhists have set their beliefs as fact, and.. it is naught but 'mind-play'.. the process is revealed to those that sincerely ask without preconception.. Buddhists are pre-programmed, parroting sutra after sutra, seldom having an 'authentic' experience.. Awareness is a dependent condition, dependent on 'that' which is aware.. Awareness is an attribute of Consciousness, its sensory input process.. Consciousness and Awareness are mutually arising, there is no seeing without a 'seer', no experience without an 'experiencer'.. Awareness is merely the function of Consciousness that senses the experience, the above quote has no validity. Again, the notion that 'Life is suffering', is erroneous.. that observation was made by an ancient 'rich kid' that ventured into the common world, the 'suffering' witnessed was based on a comparison to his own sheltered and lavish life.. worse, yet, is to convince people that pretending they don't exist will end suffering, no existence/no suffering.. Life simply 'IS', it doesn't comform to 'isms'.. Be well..
  6. Is there an objective world?

Greetings.. We are Life, in all of its glorious relationships with itself.. whatever we 'attach' to, we attatch to Life.. One of my most respected mentors once said: "You think too much, life just 'is', figuring it out is a fools game.. 'living it well is the sage's way".. Forget telling me 'what its or isn't'.. tell me how you 'Live' it.. Be well..
  7. Is there an objective world?

Greetings.. Yet, the "no Self, no Mind" chugs merrily along, defying this notion without contradiction.. You really must read this quote with Clarity, it is incomprehensible.. Buddhism is based on the stories of a guy infatuated with his own imagination.. explaining that the way to end suffering is to pretend you don't exist.. no existence, no suffering... the evidence suggests otherwise. Be well..
  8. Is there an objective world?

Greetings.. Of course there's an objective world.. that objective world is projected into our mental awareness through our sensory perception, so.. since we seldom have a 'complete' sensory experience that senses every nuance of the objective reality, our mental image is not complete.. One can focus on the fact that their mental images are incomplete and and not 'actually' the thing that they sense, or.. they can refune their sensory process to better define their relationships with existence.. students of Tao generally seek to refine their relationships with existence since the mental imagery is their link to their actual existence.. some other paths seem to reject their physical existence because they can't get the 'complete' sensory perception.. Be well..
  9. Is there an objective world?

Greetings.. In Taiji, there is the principle of 'Leading into Emptiness'.. where the defender supplies enough energy for the attacker to 'feel' connected, without revealing the center or resisting.. the attacker will follow the belief that they are 'connected' past their own ability to recover, then.. the slightest force uproots them.. but, when two forces actively oppose/resist each other, they waste energy and accomplish little.. Speak your truth softly, but clearly.. it will stand on its own merits. Arguements are comprised of attachments, judgments, and preconceptions.. Listen carefully, even vexing persons may have useful perspectives.. in all things, know that you are your own source of understanding, if you don't determine your own truths, others will do it for you.. Be well..
  10. Is there an objective world?

Greetings.. It IS, what it IS.. and if one person's IS differs from another person's IS, celebrate!!! Diversity is a beautiful condition, until someone decides to impose their perception on another.. Be well..
  11. Everything you wanted to know about ...

Greetings.. I understand the harmonics, resonance, and coherence applications from years of Shakuhachi study.. the 'math' becomes irrelevant after the 'understanding'.. Be well..
  12. Is there an objective world?

Greetings.. LOL, Marblehead, i feel your pain.. for an 'ism' concerned with 'emptiness', i would be hard-pressed to find more conceptual complexity.. clearly, simplicity is not a Buddhist principle.. Be well..
  13. Is there an objective world?

Greetings.. We/us/Life are Consciousness incarnate, manifested in a tangible reality.. we are freewilled, thereby revealing Consciousness to itself.. Consciousness is intangible, Yin.. We/us/Life are Tangible, Yang.. it is no more complex than that.. the 'isms' whatever they may be are just experiences revealing aspects of the nature of Consciousness to itself.. Be well..
  14. Is there an objective world?

Greetings.. Consistently we return to this forum, we bring the physicallity of our bodies to the physical computer and craft words and phrases to communicate the workings of our 'minds'.. these 'minds' are networked via the physical experiences like computers, and through much more esoteric mediums.. these individualized 'minds' utilize physical manifestations to effect relationships within the undifferentiated Whole mind.. the individualized mind is the 'interface' between individualized relationships and the undifferentiated Whole (Source).. and, there is NO heirarchy, no superiority.. whether physical, mental, or spiritual, it is a 'Singularity' in the 'Process' of discovering its own nature..Whether Buddhist, Taoist, Hindu, or Nihlist, etc.. it is ALL the Natural process of 'self-discovery', "As above, so below".. we/us/Life simply mirror the self-discovery of the Source, we ARE that self-discovery.. Be well..
  15. Is there an objective world?

Greetings.. Ahh, it took a while, but as perennial as the seasons.. please find where, in my statement, i said the Buddhist didn't open an umbrella.. Buddhists use the words and phrases that, to the common observer, indicate 'nothingness', then.. Buddhists take you on an elaborate explanation of how 'nothingness' doesn't mean nothingness, LOL... the implication of the misquoted quote, is that the Taoist sees what IS and acts appropriately.. the Buddhist may act appropriately and open an umbrella, but.. they 'talk' a different game.. No, it's not a misunderstanding of Buddhism, it is a common person's understanding of the evidence presented.. Be well..
  16. ZHAN ZHUANG and SECRETS

Greetings.. Awareness and Clarity are the "true" jewels.. one can stand for hours every day and gain nothing without Awareness and Clarity.. That being said, appropriate attention and diligent practice has the potential to reveal great depth in one's cultivation.. i begin each class with 5 minutes of "Zhan Zhaung", and the admonishment to practice this daily for at least 20 minutes.. then, "Swinging Bear", side to side and back & forth.. these are basics of my practice.. Taiji-walking (barefoot) on gravel is also a very beneficial practice.. Be well..
  17. Is there an objective world?

Greetings.. Yes, but.. The Buddhist says it's an 'illusion', the Taoist opens their umbrella.. I prefer to observe their actions/deeds.. the actuallity of the beliefs 'talked', is revealed in the walk walked.. I can tangibly demonstrate aspects of the physical.. most 'spiritual' talk is based on subjective interpretation of 'mind-play', or ancient teachings of peoples trying to describe what they didn't understand.. much of what wasn't understood by the ancients is now known by scientific observation.. it seems that most things not understood are eventually revealed through genuine curiosity and careful observation, and.. that process precludes abdicating one's direct experience in favor of a 'master' or guru's proclamation.. The master or guru's teachings shouldn't be discarded or worshiped, only seen as bill-boards/advertisements along the journey.. let your own direct experiences be your counsel.. Be well..
  18. Serious question

Greetings.. Nope, it's the only game in town.. the only 'real-time' is in your own 'being'.. in letting-go of the 'measurement of time/lightwaves/mind-imagery, and seeing the process as one of Consciousness discovering itself.. Be well..
  19. Is there an objective world?

Greetings.. Hi CowTao: I find no inconsistencies between the video references and my understandings of existence.. i acknowledge the 'no-thing-ness' of existence, that Consciousness is its own creator.. What i also acknowledge is that we/us/Life has evolved as a manifestation of Consciousness to this present version of 'Experience/relationship'.. that the mind's perception of 'thing-ness' is an intended result of Consciousness.. a tangible representation of itself.. it is the self-awareness of Consciousness.. All of which is dependent on a common medium, Energy.. I/we/us, we are Life, we are Consciousness discovering its own potential.. as such, i am eager to manifest that process of self-discovery, that process of realizing potential.. to deconstruct the process in favor of some contrived 'blissful state of nothingness' is contrary to my realization of the process.. the process is an evolution of Consciousness itself, realizing its own potential, and.. we/us/Life are that realization.. i accept the 'thing-ness' of Consciousness as the process, i am eager to participate in the evolution of myself, of the human experience, and of Consciousness undifferentiated.. I accept 'thing-ness' as thingness, i accept the 'in-formation' experienced through relationships as me discovering ME.. i accept that i am both separate and whole, simultaneously without contradiction.. It was only after finding my 'way' to this understanding that Life begins to reveal its subtle and amazing truth, this is IT.. our existence is exactly what it IS, the ongoing creation/evolution of Consciousness.. in that realization there is a profound peace, unburdened by the 'desire' to deconstruct the intention of Consciousness itself.. Be well..
  20. Is there an objective world?

Greetings.. An self-deception of the highest order.. Consciousness has shaped energy into solid matter, this is clearly experiencable.. creative imaginings and clever semantics will not change this observable reality.. Be well..
  21. are you ever gonna die?

Greetings.. "Are you ever gonna die?".. a much more important question: Are you ever gonna Live? really Live, with gusto and unconditional sincerity.. Be well..
  22. Is there an objective world?

Greetings.. "Is there an objective world?"... Yes. Be well..
  23. What does it mean to be 'grounded'?

Greetings.. Grounded, as i understand it, is balanced and connected.. connected to the earth and the heavens.. 'Man' (gender neutral) is the interface between Heaven and Earth, offspring of the marriage of Heaven and Earth.. 'Grounded' is attaining the Clarity to experience this exquisite condition.. 'Grounded' is not being deceived by the 'Spiritual Circus'.. Be well..
  24. Nature the closest thing we have to chi.

Greetings.. We are nature.. beyond that, we form opinions about our place in, or our relationship with, nature, we confine our natural experience.. the easiest and most beneficial advice i have received and given is: Simplify. Be well..
  25. are you ever gonna die?

Greetings.. But, the Energy that animates the 'image' labeled Marblehead will continue.. portions of that energy may animate other beings.. Be well..
