  1. I got my Sheng Zhen Qigong DVD last week, I'm really digging this simple practice!
  2. Sai Baba is dead

He can molest no longer, good riddance.
  3. If you can be barefoot then that is best. I will use moccasin's only in the winter. Not sure how long these shoes will last but probably not very long.
  4. I've been searching for moccasins with leather soles... Would these moccasins work? : http://www.softmoc.com/ca/systemshow-item_IB1133%20CORK%20M
  5. I have been looking for a good source of moccasins with leather soles as well, if you come across a good site please post it here, thanks!
  6. No problem man, keep us updated on your barefoot experiences, thanks!
  7. Of course nothing beats walking barefoot on grass but not everyone can do that everyday for few hours. Besides we get snow 6 months out of the year. I have a Magnetico sleep pad also and that helps amplify the earth's magnetic field and I really feel it. I love helpful technology. To the poster with the book, no but you can walk on concrete if it's not painted or sealed. Grounding Sandals coming out next month so that may be a good option for you. I stood on concrete for 20 minutes today and it was really special.
  8. Herbs and Qigong

I was wondering how do tonic herbs play into a healthy lifestyle from a TCM or even modern perspective? For example my Yin Jing is feeling depleted so I am doing alot of rooting exercises like Zhan Zhuang and Horse Stance. It definitely is helping. Also I have found a few potent He Shou Wu Root herbal elixirs at DragonHerbs which will boost my Yin Jing: http://www.dragonherbs.com/prodinfo.asp?number=133 Is it best to have a combination of Qigong and Tonic Herbs? What if I did only Qigong or only Tonic Herbs? Also does it make a huge difference if I take Herbs first and then do Qigong or vice versa? Any direction is greatly helpful.
  9. Herbs and Qigong

i am just listening to an amazing audio program about master tonic herbs: http://healthbeyonddanger.com/
  10. Ron Teeguarden's Tonic Alchemy

Thanks for sharing. It's my understanding that tonics tonify overtime and gradually in subtle ways. The benefits can be almost undetectable to oneself until you compare yourself how you felt before you started to how you feel right now. I am going to start a few tonics and build my 3 treasures, I will share my experience here.
  11. Herbs and Qigong

Well I used marijuana and then ran energy through my system. Psychedelics are very Yang and run through Yin very quickly. I feel burnt out and dry and constricted.
  12. Ron Teeguarden's Tonic Alchemy

Any updates from the tonic herbs?
  13. I have accumulated many books/DVDs/techniques and I am doing my practice but not as diligently and often as I know I could be doing it. When I have done my practice to the best of my ability, I feel absolutely radiant and I shine that towards people all around me and I know the world is a better place because I am being my best and encouraging others to be their best also. I just wanted to start this thread as a turnaround marker point for myself and others. I won't do all hardcore and practice like crazy because that really does no good. I will keep the balance and do my best and know when to stop. For motivation purposes, if anyone would like to post the routine they did that day and the way they felt then by all means keep the inspiration coming.
  14. Right on baguakid, keep it up! I just wanted to post a link to some fantastic podcasts that continue to inspire me to do my practices: http://www.radicalchangegroup.com/podcasts/categories/soma/martial-arts/
  15. Vortex, that's the good crazy, not so good crazy would be doing something to mess up your knees real bad. Let's keep the mojo going. Practice, practice and then some more practice until it becomes natural and then the cycle continues
  16. Just did a warmup to shake cobwebs and get energy flowing and I'm ready to start the day. Warm up routine: - circulate rubber balls under feet to activate pressure points. - rotate joints then plant feet and just shake - do soft bounces on rebounder - pat entire body and some accupressure - subtle body movements to become more acutely aware (similar to Feldenkrais method but my own thing) - soft breathing (like inhaling fragrance) - Myofascial Calf release with stick. If you haven't done it then I assure you this will better your entire practice whatever it maybe: - Hang upside down on my machine thingy. * I was quite tense when I started but now I feel that a kind smile has returned to my face Warmup routine took me about an hour and half to complete today but well worth it because I don't feel the energies nearly as much if I skip this routine. Now I can move onto Yoga and then some Qigong.
  17. zhan zhuang

I don't follow most of the tedious guidelines for ZZ. In my opinion, just relax and stand like a tree, that is all you have to do. Your intuition will naturally correct your body alignments. One thing is for sure, you might want to warm up your joints and gently shake your body loose before practicing ZZ, it helps alot in opening up the channels.

  25. Sacred Geometry

I have been watching animations of what is called 'Sacred Geometry' on youtube. I find that it allows my mind to focus on something that is nuetral and it's a sort of a meditation. I am also starting to see these shapes more and more in my day to day reality which is cool because it allows me to expand my attention outward. I'm not into reading books about Sacred geomety since don't care for all these various theories. I just want to know how you use it practically and what it means for you.
