Prof. Yu Yong Nian's book - Zhan Zhuang & the Search of Wu - Anyone read it?

I would like to read a copy of this as well -
I don't find my bodyweight training routine inadequate at all, it's very challenging and I very much prefer it over weight training. It's just that weight training helps me dig real deep within and release anger at a root level, this is why I want to incorporate it atleast once or twice per week.

hi Tommy, thanks and I will most definitely keep the board posted on my progress. Regarding my workout regimine. I train bodyweight exercises (including lots of chinups) and yoga. I don't isolate movements to build up certain bodyparts like the arms, I try to allow my whole body to grow evenly. That picture in my avatar was taken when I used to lift weights, I have been getting the itch to go back to weight training a few days a week, I will post my routine when I do so. this time I will train the whole body per session rather then doing a body split.

Thank you for this. -
Use your intuition. This retention of semen method is total bullshit, it is a marketing ploy and nothing more. the body seek to release these fluids. Why not retain your boogers, I heard they will give you psychic powers and tons of energy.

Smile, What are the benefits you have seen using that vibration plate? Have you tried any other vibration machines?

Go buy yourself a nice rebounder! I just had my first experience with a rebounder. It feels as though the earth is sucking my feet inwards

I don't like to rely on heresay or books, I learn from experience, I just don't feel the Dan Tien. I feel the energy centers, red/root, orange/sacral, yellow/solar plexus, green/heart, pink/collar bone, blue/throat, indigo/slightly above and between eyes, purple/crown. So what is this Dan Tien?

I must say, this is my largest stretch by far.

No prob, I just found out about Dennis Lewis today and he is a huge piece to my puzzle. I encourage you to listen to his audio interviews, he is one of the most aware beings I am aware of http://www.dennislewis.org/interviews.htm -

I just take baby steps toward where my heart resonates. What you project outwards will come back at you. Remember you have to smile first and then the mirror smiles back. I don't care for sharing my insights with those around me because everyone is at a different stage of development and if you present soemthing to them then they will think you are being intrusive. Just allow yourself to be your most natural self. peace -

Bashar is the man! I have been listening to him for 5 years now and to me he offers true enlightenment which is as he says "just lightening up". Here is a 21 minute P'taah video, just as informative as Bashar: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3...21049114126349# -
Cool, I'll check it out There is a really good audio interview about Spring Forest Qigong here: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/QigongMasters...WITH-CHUNYI-LIN

thanks for the reply Lama Tantrapa, I really enjoy the interviews because you are genuinely interested in knowing about your guests. I heard the Mark Johnson interview today and he is a gem of wisdom, I will look up his books and website. I don't have your book but have it on my amazon wishlist, I have your DVD though and thoroughly enjoyed it and I look forward to the upcoming book you mentioned. Regarding YCYOR (You create your own reality). I am not a new agey person but this is channelled material. Your perceptions are very inline with this material because you like to get to the essence, without all the fluff. The clearest channellersI have found are Darryl Anka (channels entity named Bashar) and Mary Ennis (channels entity named Elias). There are tons of Bashar (bashar.org) videos on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_quer..._type=&aq=f And there are 2 Elias websites ( http://www.eliasforum.org & http://www.eliasweb.at) I find there there is SOOO much distorted information out there. From my view Mantak Chia's whole system looks and feels unnecesary complicated as doe smany other systems. That is why I love the Elias info, the intent of that material is to offer the least distortion possible. I personally have never been to a qigong/taichi class, advaita satsang, any seminar. this is a blessing from my perspective because I don't have to unlearn anything and take others word over mine. I started experimenting with my body consciousness through desperation, I had intense solid feeling energetic knots in my head, throat, solar plexus. From my experimental and intuitive experience what works really well for me is to start the day warming up my body gently before doing Yoga. During Yoga I have alot of resistance comes up in my mind/body and I express it as it comes out by swearing or through various body language. I don't judge the resistance, I just meet it greet it and release. After yoga I do a super slow body movements, this helps me connect and feel my energy and release futher resistance. After this point I just allow my body to move to the flow, there is no resistance anymore, just energy, appreciation and flow. This energy dance is the highlight of my day and I feel like I have gotten out of the way. I look forward to the interview with Roger and keep the flow going! Best regards, Perry

DarinHamel, I am new to this forum but I have to say that you sound like a fish out of water when it comes to awareness. you argue your point by bullying it down people's throats. BTW Mike Tyson does not bench , MMA fighters generally do not bench, some might bench because they like bodybuilding. Cut the fluff.

hello Lama Tantrapa, I think your system of Qi Dao is exactly the same set of jewels that I discovered through my explorations(Advaita, YCYOR, meditation, conscious movement). It is all very tangible, with no fluff. It combines natural movement/energetics, self inquiry and dreaming. This is all very practical and important Also I love the blog talk radio interviews, the interviewed qigong masters have a mind of their own, everyone is evolving and won't take fluff. Keep up the great work.

I got into this conscious energy movement through intuition. It's a way to release resistance and be more present for me. I enjoy doing the super slow conscious movements. I was wondering if there are any particular styles of qigong that are a perfect fit in the super slow category?

Any recommendation for a super slow qigong style?
