apparently this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/1425489729/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&condition=new correct if wrong: christ= light of the world, satan= adversary & shaitan= darkness-hence the term "antichrist"; allegorically, light denotes awareness & darkness denotes ignorance. an interesting book: http://www.amazon.com/Physics-Jesus-Christ-Way-Universe/dp/1414036086 - argues that the new testament is a manual of "multi-dimensional" physics & psychology (these apparently being inseparable) expressed in allegories pertaining to that particular time & culture. if i'm not mistaken, egoic nature is comprised of cravings & aversions (& the various frustrations thereof)& has it's roots in ignorance... it's interesting to read the sixth verse of the sixth chapter of the book of romans (sixth book of the new testament) whilst replacing the term "sinful" with that of "egoic"- makes the book of revelations seem like a book on internal alchemy that describes an eventual psychological apocalypse & spiritual rebirth for the practitioner...(as for the sword wounding the beast in the head which subsequently heals itself(sword representing willpower), haven't you ever attempted to try and overcome any of the various aspects of your own egoic nature, only to have them seemingly resurrect themselves later?) for the sake of practicality(assuming that any of the above is actually true of course), it's probably best to say that "the greatest feat of ignorance has been to convince people that it doesn't exist...especially within themselves..."

I thought standing, Tai Chi, Qi Gung & martial art in general were for raising & circulating the energy so that energy, channels & body may be conditioned, as well as to learn to control & direct the different energies in different ways; whereas sitting was mainly for collecting, refining, & compressing these energies(?).

Thanks!

Is that several hrs straight, or several sessions throughout the day?

Loneliness is simply the false perception that one is alone in the universe. It's root cause is ignorance which is gradually alleviated through proper training.

I haven't gotten the Tridaya course yet, & the little booklet for the level 1 exercise says "Siu Lian" on the cover, & is an extremely rigorous isometric/breath retention exercise. And I haven't found any practice material on the second. Here's another link btw, for a pdf: http://wwwlib.murdoch.edu.au/adt/pubfiles/adt-MU20040210.100853/02Whole.pdf

Originaly, to learn how to cripple & kill with the least amount of effort . Then, to command spirits to do my bidding . Then, to restore health, sanity & willpower . Then, to be absorbed into the supreme origin of origins, if you will. Later, all of the above. Now, just the divine union-and everything else to give myself something to do along the way .

Could someone list the various properties of the different ingredients within external iron palm/iron body dit da jows & internal iron body formulas i.e., tonic, blood strengthener, etc.? As well as the necessary ratios between each of the properties to one another? Or at least point me in the right direction for such info, links, books, etc.? Just need some general guidelines for making some homemade formulas with both eastern & western ingredients .

You're not supposed to practice as you read. I don't remember which chapter it's in, maybe the last one or somewhere in the last few chapters, but it explicitly states that you don't work through the book but instead read it several times over & memorize it thouroghly before beginning the training. The breathing and the movement of the energy occur naturaly in accordance with proper practice. I don't know why it was written in such a dislexic(that spelled right?) manner but it was.

I've been studying some of his writings for several years now (books are currently at a relative's). Just extract the practical info for long term experimental purposes and leave the rest. Some of his current "students" have written some things in their essays that contradict the books I've read, like the world ending in 2044 (or somewhere around that time)(essay on the Klipoth)-he stated that the exact time of the end couldn't be predicted in the astral dimension('Aquarian Message'). Then there are the accusations/rumors of others using psychedelics in the name of his teachings- which again completely contradicts his writings(In 'The Three Mountains' he states that drug use was the antithesis of meditation and that there use would awaken the so-called Kundabuffer organ in the astral body-the above mentioned tail). The entire doctrine seems to be based primarily on the practices of non-climatic sexual yoga and meditation for the annihilation of the ego, the awakening of the Kundalini, and the creation of the solar astral, mental and causal bodies; somewhat similar to some Taoist teachings.

Free downloads I just found recently , bit of caution though , there are a few pieces tainted with western influences like the damn piano http://www.foreigners-in-china.com/

I've been reading ahead through the Tien Tao Chi Kung pdf manual and there is an exercise that requires you to inhale and direct chi to 8(?) succesive parts of the body before exhaling. And many other similar exercises too.

Looked more like iron abdomen . Anyway, I was wondering, did you mean bagua training enables one to penetrate shaolin iron body technique? Have you read Traditional Wing Chun by Grandmaster Ip Chun featuring Michael Tse? In it Ip Chun tells a story about his father (Ip Man) defeating a women's hard chi kung using his one inch punch, basically sunk it in to her lower abdomen & she just collapsed & he had to prescribe herbs for her recovery. Some say Wing Chun is a hard style but apparently it's most effective soft.

Back in '02-'03 I was engaged in a bit of chi kung and internal kungfu & by mid july of '03 I began to experience some kind of bliss or ecstasy in my heart/solar plexus region, after about a week I gave up everything because all I felt like doing was sitting & resting in that bliss. would that sensation be characteristic of the process you mentioned above?

Therapeutic dosages of Nitric Oxide precursors
IMPERIAGO replied to Encephalon's topic in General Discussion
I just wanted to clarify that the purpose of NO precursors was never to build muscle in the first place, but instead to enable the body to produce more NO which is a naturally occuring hormone. NO simply triggers the release of other hormones like vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)- which along with NO serves to dilate the blood vessels as well as stimulates new growth thereof-, IGF-1, insulin & various other hormones-the collective purpose of which are to help the body force cellular waste out and bring blood, oxygen, water & nutrients in when oxygen in the body becomes depleted; ever notice how much more dilated your blood vessels become during standing chi kung than seated? The amount of muscle one builds mainly depends on one's diet & the type of training regimen one follows-except so called "hard gainers" who are genetically predisposed to not building much muscle. I recently downloaded the Tien Tao chi kung pdf course (thanks enouch), and while printing it out I noticed how very similar the nature of the training is to Eric Yudelove's book on Daoist Yoga And Sexual Energy. It got me wondering if Mantak Chia had either recieved such instruction under the guidance of a proper master within said system, or simply commited plagiarism. Not saying that he did or anything, since I haven't read any of his books yet (the Tien Tao manual, now printed in full with all 9 levels, was copyrighted in '85). I highly recommend all beginners, and those currently feeling lost and confused about what to do, to start with the Tien Tao manual, as it's a very complete course along with some Daoist history and cosmology, as well as warnings and guidelines about proper practice.
