  1. I think the moment you convince yourself that you know something without having experienced the truth for yourself....there is a problem. I try and post this video when ever I can....one of my favorites: My 2 cents, Peace
  2. What are you reading right now?

Currently reading: Tarot of the Spirit by Pamela Joyce Eakins. Her deck and book is brilliant. http://www.amazon.com/Tarot-Spirit-Pamela-Eakins/dp/0877287309/ref=pd_sim_b_2 My 2 cents, Peace
  3. Practice recommendation for a total newbie.

I have only heard positive things about Spring Forest. Enjoy the journey. My 2 cents, peace
  4. ...

When I look back on the time I've spent in cultivation so far there are 3 things that are bench marks for drastic steps in my practice: 1. Practicing Retention 2. Practicing my current Neigong 3. Learning about the Tarot Of all 3 I'd say in honesty that retention has been the most powerful. It's like a jet packed strapped to your back. Just gotta learn to balance and channel the energy so you can use it to your benefit. Enjoy and use the power it bestows wisely. Best of luck. My 2 cents, Peace
  5. Practice recommendation for a total newbie.

There are MANY kinds of practices out there...MANY of which can have great benefits. What's important is to find what most strongly resonates with you as an Individual.......then practice it. Best of luck. My 2 cents, Peace
  6. An interesting and profound insight. Thanks for sharing this gem. My 2 cents, Peace
  7. Tao of Intimate Relationships

If she says certain things that bother you then let her know (address such things gently but directly), feelings we suppress only become stronger and ball up within until they explode and cause serious fractures in your relationships with companions....at the same time address those insecurities through internal work. One should not be purely static in your approach to any problem. My 2 cents, Peace
  8. KAP vs Hoshin Tao chikung

In regards to money, I believe teachers deserve to be compensated for their teachings.....we all have to eat and support ourselves and our families and the techniques teachers offer is often of immense value....not offering material for free does not mean your unenlightened, it just means you need money in order to sustain your livelihood. Also my understanding of KAP is that it is a conglomeration of techniques from various traditions....they experimented and found what they thought was most efficient and put it into a program....I believe Hoshin Tao along with many other techniques is part of KAP. That being said, here's some free foundational techniques from the KAP program that Santiago gave out here for free: http://thetaobums.com/topic/9719-dr-morriss-secret-smile-breathing-basic-kap-1-giri-for-the-tao-bumbs/ My 2 cents, Peace
  9. hello need help

The variety of experiences one can have while meditating are extremely varied and often without explanation. Observe with interest, but don't become attached to any particular sensations. My 2 cents, Peace
  10. The phrase High Level is a bit subjective....but I guess I would say that the system of neigong (GOT, S-M) I have been practicing for the last several years is highly energetic......meaning it generates a lot of chi that one can palpably feel in ones body and surroundings.....of-course, how strongly one feels this varies with each individuals sensitivity.....but I have found most people start to get "hot" and sweat when doing the movement form and I often feel soaked with energy after the sitting spontaneous movement practice. 1. Gift of the Tao 2. Stillness Movement My 2 cents, Peace
  11. ...

All of the Qigong masters I know of are married. I wouldn't sweat it too much man. Furthermore, there are ways of having sext that aid your cultivation....just gotta find the right lady. My 2 cents, Peace
  12. Chrysphrase in here

Here is one of the foundational techniques of the KAP program run by several of Glenn Morris's students: http://thetaobums.com/topic/9719-dr-morriss-secret-smile-breathing-basic-kap-1-giri-for-the-tao-bumbs/ My 2 cents, Peace

  15. Finding a good guide / teacher.

While this article does have a slant towards witchcraft and the western tradition, I still feel it shares some highy valid points: http://sarahannelawless.com/2013/09/19/evaluating-our-teachers/ My 2 cents, Peace
  16. Practice...... lots of practice. I am not there yet but I think in perhaps another couple of years I will be completely aware and meditative while sleeping. During the day I am usually most of the time just chillin in the void. My 2 cents, Peace
  17. Why end rebirth?

There is a saying: "Water finds its own level." I think where we go to in our after life is simply based on what particular way are energy body is vibrating when we die. Dont't think there is likely any judgement about it. But that's just me guessing. My 2 cents, Peace
  18. hello

  19. The energetics of discussion on TTB

IMO writing itself is a magical act.....we are sharing the essence of who we are at the moment of this creative act....ie ....imprinting our energetic signature in every word we write. Some people's writing is pleasant and enlightening to read while others is not so much....of course this kind of perception also depends upon where were at personally. My 2 cents, Peace
  20. Looking for guidance.

Welcome to TTB. My understanding and experience is that within Taoism the most direct way of to work towards a healthier, more harmonious and enlightened way of living is internal alchemy. The name of this in Taoism is called Chi Kung or Qi Gong. There are various styles of Qi Gong suggested in this thread: http://thetaobums.com/topic/27757-what-is-the-best-qigong-lineage-to-start-out-with/ Best of luck to you. My 2 cents, Peace

  23. Deep dive - help a newbie start practicing

I practiced Gift of the Tao for a whole year before I went to a workshop. I benefited a great deal from practicing the system during that time. My 2 cents, Peace
  24. Deep dive - help a newbie start practicing

I currently practice Stillness Movement and Gift of the Tao as my primary form of cultivation. Its been a good system for me personally. There is actually a discount workshop happening very soon in Missouri in which you get several of his DVDs for free. It would be quite fortuitous if you could attend: http://thetaobums.com/topic/31395-special-ttbers-only-promotion-stillness-movement-neigong-september-282930/ Best of luck My 2 cents, Peace
  25. Gift of the Tao II Neigong Movements

I wish I could, hopefully within a year I can go to another one. Thanks for your advice as well. My 2 cents, Peace
