Thanks for the clarification Viator. My 2 cents, Peace
  2. Youngins in the Western Tradition

Hmm.....apologize if I came off a bit negative, got caught up in my own surprise. Just changed the title. Was curious if this is a common theme in the Western Mysteries? My 2 cents, Peace
  3. Grimoire

Wow, thanks for the awesome posts Seth. What you say resonates and reflects a lot of what I have read and heard on the topic as well as my own internal compass....ie.....treating spirits with respect and building relationships rather than trying to enslave and order other beings around. Much thanks for the gems. My 2 cents, Peace

  5. Grimoire

Indeed, my understanding is that spirits have there own preferences of people they are willing to work with. Heard of some people say that some Beings will just tell you to go screw yourself, different vibrations I suppose, some don't match up. My 2 cents, Peace
  6. Grimoire

I think this is an important point. Properly directed will and intent is intrinsic. My observation has been that the more powerful we become as practitioners, the more refined are focus and awareness needs to be so that we understand what we are "connecting" with. It's important to be able to consciously seal our doors when necessary and open them when necessary....no drunken antics for the magus, could get quite messy I am sure . At-least that is my amateur opinion. My 2 cents, Peace
  7. Grimoire

Found this article online. Seems like Grimoires are just one way of contacting spirits. Guess you can always choose to do the legwork for yourself and go play in the void, though that is probably the harder but more creative path to take. Interesting stuff. http://www.myoccultcircle.com/blog/book-review-josephine-mccarthy-magical-knowledge-i-foundatio.html My 2 cents, Peace
  8. Scarlet Imprint: Occult Literature

Thanks for sharing your thoughts Seth. I got the feeling you might have knowledge of these and chime in. My 2 cents, Peace
  9. Scarlet Imprint: Occult Literature

Thanks for your insights. One of the things i find interesting which they talk about in the podcast is they view each book as a "Talisman" and a magical work in and of itself....which i have found very true in my readings of any book coming from a real practitioner...they can be powerful forms of transmission, which is why they created the books so beautifully and ornately, but at the same time have cheaper versions for those who just want the info. My 2 cents, Peace
  10. Grimoire

Thanks for the insights. Don't currently have any desire to practice that kind of stuff. More just exploring the various facets of the Western Tradition. My 2 cents, Peace
  11. Grimoire

Could you please elaborate? My 2 cents, Peace
  12. Grimoire

Does anybody know about any modern Grimoires or are they all just from old dead dudes? My 2 cents, Peace
  13. Grimoire

Thanks for the input guys. So its like a magus's own little journal in which he makes notes on what works he does and different Beings he interacts with. Seems like there are some definite strengths and weaknesses of using them. My 2 cents, Peace
  14. HELP!

I tend to disagree with this. I feel it's better to deal with things as they arise rather than trying to prepare the path before you even walk it......but maybe that's just my style. Different strokes for different folks. My 2 cents, Peace
  15. HELP!

I would stay clear of Mantak Chia. Here is a good thread on the topic: http://thetaobums.com/topic/24876-a-few-questions-about-important-questions-about-ejaculation-control-and-sexual-energy/

  17. What is the best Qigong lineage to start out with?

There is no "Best". But there are many different styles and teachers. Here's a list: 1. Spring Forest Qigong 2. Stillness Movement/Gift of the Tao 3. Flying Phoenix Qigong 4. Spontaneous Movement Neigong: Jenny Lamb Those are the ones I remember at the moment as well as the ones I have heard the most positive things about. Best of luck to you. My 2 cents, Peace

  21. There is always much about the many health benefits of Hatha Yoga and how it aids in digestion, longevity, flexibility....etc However, i feel because it was imported to the West there is never much discussion on the esoteric side of Hatha Yoga. I have been practicing basic Sun Salutations every morning for almost a year now and how found it complements my practice immensely....however i would to go into the specifics of how it can compliment ones practices? These are just a few questions i though of. -To what degree can Hatha Yoga open one's channels? -Is basic Sun Salutations enough to open the whole body? -Does flexibility mean that all channels are open in that area? -Are there other esoteric dimensions to Hatha Yoga besides the simple physical movements? -My 2 cents, Peace
