Om Mani Padme Hum and it's profound benefits
RiverSnake replied to Vajra Fist's topic in Buddhist Discussion
Did a divination on the results of this mantra for the practitioner, here. Cool, may be a useful thing to have in one's toolkit. -Cleanses Karmic Entanglements -Opens up ones power of Compassion -
My understanding is that this is a commonly used mantra in a particular sect of Buddhism. Interesting read on the mantra: https://www.sgi.org/about-us/buddhist-concepts/the-meaning-of-nam-myoho-renge-kyo.html

Lot of different types of meditations...many of which are not mind based....such as chi kung. Too make a contrast....the state you most do not want to be in is Chaos. Chaos can emerge from the psyche, external interference or we tap into a sensitive part of our sphere and need to take 2 steps back. Depending on the practice our awareness can be harnessed in a number of ways....but being in a chaotic state is not ideal.

An old cultivator buddy of mine told me that when he was going through his Kundalini process, the energetic surges wouldn't allow him to go to sleep. Asking his teacher they said....don't try go to sleep, just lay down and go into a light state of relaxation and stay there....if you fall asleep great....if not then you will have still allowed your system to recover even though you didn't knock out fully. This allow you to wake up relatively refreshed.

How to work with blockages and energy as a total beginner?
RiverSnake replied to GreenCord's topic in Newcomer Corner
PM me and i may be able to help. -
Every person has there own "nature" and thus will resonate with different techniques. PM me and i may be able to help you find some methods appropriate to your powers.

A further note on skeletal practice. As your going about your training in this area....paying special attention to heal areas you've damaged is worth the time and effort.
-
Here is a basic but powerful qigong exercise. Do it daily and you will gradually become more sensitive to Qi. If you want a "Big" Experience of Qi, go ahead and do a 3 hr straight session. If your not dead you'll likely feel something.

Bliss is a bi-product of cultivation. Is it wrong to chase it? No...but it is counter-productive. To flexibly quote another practitioner..."doing cultivation for well being is easy.....but if you want to understand the fundamentals of life...that requires an intense level of dedication." After you do chi kung for awhile you will feel "good" and content most of the time...as well as quite prone to bliss. Just takes time and effort....but if you chase after sensations it will hinder you on the path. Take the long view and practice wisely.

Couldn't use the PM for some reason. So it's here: I read cards, here it is. Question: What does this system offer you? -Connect to your Higher Self and bring down higher knowledge that you crave. -Serious challenge to your ego and self/other world view -Quickly open up Crown, 3rd Eye and Throat charka Question: Challenges of this system? -You have a tremendous amount of self sabotaging energies in your system, including garbage in your chest and shadow that will not allow you to seriously cultivate in this system.
-
Ill PM you.

Immortal4life, his system seems to kind of have a "Holy Celestial" quality to it.....different currents will resonate with different people. This kind of quality may or may no suit your nature. If you'd like i can do a reading for you on the topic.
-
Yeah, this is likely to happen to any system over time. Stay away from the cult of personality and just steal the methods....those kind of entanglements are quite sticky and will only hinder.
-
Interesting talk, he has others.

His book Psychic Self Defense for Home and Office is excellent. Besides that i haven't had any experience with the system. At the minimum his system seems to have some good juju....some systems you find on the net have a lot of mixed intent and funky mojo attached to them.....his methods seem relatively clean. The key to consider is this....what is your overall intent in your cultivation and does it align with the methods he's teaching? He appears to have several more books and also many videos available.

KAP has a lot of good articles and videos on the process of awakening. https://kundaliniawakeningprocess.com/blog/videos-about-kundalini/

Mantak Chia can be quite dicey. Welcome to the forum
-
For self-healing, there are many systems you may find to be helpful. Here are a couple styles: -Spring Forest Chi Kung -KAP -Flying Phoenix Chi Kung -White Skeleton meditation and there are many others you will likely run across....Buddhism, Taoism, Vedic....etc. All these spiritual branches have many sects and styles.

Tip #1 Stay away from Mantak Chia Tip #2 You got some serious shit going on that needs healing. PM me with you want.

Those sensations your experiencing are quite common. It is good that you know your weaknesses (impatience, distractibility...etc). The key is to take the time to intentionally remove these obstacles from your training so that your path is open and free. Cultivation is a process of internal landscaping....trim the trees and plant the onions in a way to allow your cultivation to grow and your life to blossom. Using the energy that you generate from chi kung to blast through these internal obstructions is a potent tool. Where awareness goes....energy flows.

Will the God of the Tao Bums ever return? Sean, a mind away Will the Lotus collapse in the mud? Another site form? -Anybody want to found another site if this one collapses?

In normal times, train diligently and with intent.....in chaotic times.....train diligently with intent. Train to surf....on the waves of the Dao.

Kali is a lovely lady. Always found her to have a strong kinship with the kundalini force. She enjoys offerings of "red stuff" such as peppers and flowers. Vedic tradition has many mantras, "Om Kali Ma", is particularly potent IMO. Mantra can be a form of offering for a deity. Any other questions, just let me know.

Am I feeling chi or just deluding myself?
RiverSnake replied to Scholar's topic in Daoist Discussion
Chi sensations come in many forms. The examples you mentioned are common. The best way to feel Chi is do a 2-3 hr session of Chi Kung, then practice projecting chi at your hands or just pull your hands together and then apart. You'll likely feel some distinguishable sensations.
