  1. Introduction Post

Do a search on the forum, lots of good info on sexual yoga and the benefits and dangers of the practice.
  2. Are you profitable?

One of my teachers in school is a Jain nun and i remember her say that in Jainism even if an ascetic is attacked he won't fight back because he values his spiritual evolution more than his physical body...if he fights back he will just accrue bad karma...he rather die and be reborn with a better chance for self-realization. They are looking at a bigger life-time after lifetime picture and therefore prescribe value a lot differently than most people. What is valuable is relative to the individual.
  3. Working Through the Pain

I think i might understand a bit of what you're experiencing. I have had times due to my practices that i have just been depressed for no reason for a day or 2...feeling like a great void is opening up in my heart...about too swallow me whole into nothingness and that nothing really matters anymore. Though your experiences sound a bit more intense and more prolonged than mine. All i can say is to keep riding it out no matter how long it takes, just persevere. IME these waves of depression are usually followed by or preceded by waves of bliss. -My 2 cents, Peace
  4. The Parent's Tao Te Ching: A New Interpretation

Bump...Felt this was a worthy addition.
  5. How Attached to Your Ideas Are You?

    Interesting video
  6. How would you view the universe from day zero?

Day zero? Never heard of it...
  7. How Attached to Your Ideas Are You?

Many of my beliefs are based on my own personal experiences and wisdom that i have intuited from within. If my experiences of reality change then so will my own personal paradigm. I think the problem comes about when our personal paradigms are based on very limited and fragmented experiences rather than the complete and wide ranging process we call life. -My 2 cents, Peace
  8. Be well guys

I tend to agree...we can only strive to convey ourselves to the best of our ability. However, there is always some miss-interpretation. I wish you the best and will miss the level of insight and wisdom you bring to the forum. -My 2 cents, Peace
  9. Tan tien being pulled

People whom tend to talk a lot and grasp for attention can be consciously or unconsciously energetic vampires...meaning they feed off other peoples energy via triggering whatever emotions they can in others (anger, enthusiasm...etc) and want to have the complete attention and focus of others...maybe the chick was trying to pull some of your mojo out of you...not sure...but that was my first thought when reading your post. http://www.thetaobums.com/index.php?/topic/14177-tao-bumss-emotional-vampires/ Practicing Chi-Gung is a good way to recharge your energy. -My 2 cents, Peace
  10. how you Deal with Karma ?

Hmm...made a post about this awhile back. This is the best explanation i have found for Karma and how to overcome it. Enjoy http://www.thetaobums.com/index.php?/topic/21731-karma-destiny-and-mastering-your-life/page__p__308463__hl__Karma%20destiny__fromsearch__1entry308463
  11. The key to Taoist sex and retention

Could you perhaps elaborate a bit on this?
  12. The key to Taoist sex and retention

Bump, lots of good info here
  13. What are you watching on Youtube?

High frequency vibrations causing change in sand patterns.
  14. Stillness Movement

Make it 10! Been practicing for about 5 months now. Bump
  15. Bone Healing

I imagine most people whom eventually are treated with Medical Qigong are open to doing so because they have already run out of options are desperate and are on their last limb...and not because they heard how great it was from a reliable source. Perhaps as the modern medical system approaches its last limb more people will seek out alternative methods and the medical system will forced into a position of being more open to other healing modalities. -My 2 cents, Peace
  16. Idea for the TaoBums

I have been noticing that often a ton of great threads seem to end up being lost in the history of Taobums and was thinking that it would be cool if we had a top 20 list of threads for each year. -Top 20 threads from 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009, 2008...etc and then keep it going yearly so that we can have a place to look at all the great posts that have that been made on the forum. Why do you guys think?
  17. Idea for the TaoBums

Hm...if only you could search for posts solely on dates...without having to put in a title.....
  18. You get in what you put in. If your a full time dabbler you will never develop a very deep practice.
  19. cold baths/showers

I picked up cold showers from Bardon as well...its a great practice, it wakes you up in the morning and gives you a boost for the rest of the day. He also suggests you use a natural bristle scrub brush which i found is very rejuvenating...its like getting a whole body rub down every single morning...if you know where the right acu-points on your body are it is it's own form of Chi-Gung. Very Refreshing!! Highly Recommended!
  20. Beginner looking for some advice on the path

I think everyone has given you pretty good advice. The only thing i would add is that many people will tell you that you should do this or that practice...and that one system is more powerful than the other or that there way is the fastest way to enlightenment...etc IME and IMO, there are dozens of great practices out there and some are more powerful than others...but how powerful a system is, is less important than how strongly it resonates with you as an individual. Take your time looking at the many different practices out there whether they be: Chi-Gung, Neigong, Mantra, Meditations...etc What is more important than the system is how strongly you feel about your practices, how deeply they resonate with you as an individual...the path you choose is a very personal thing...and there is no one path that suits everyone...take your time to find something that you feel very strongly about and then dedicate your whole life to that single area until your life and your practice become indistinguishable...this is the Way to get the most out of whatever you do. My 2 cents, Peace

  22. Beginner looking for some advice on the path

Put the books away...they can point you in the right direction but when it comes to integrating the Way into your life you need to develop a steady daily practice.
