  1. How do you do a all-nighter meditation?

I disagree with this. Avatar is a decent Anime, but Samurai Champloon and Bugs Bunny are of superior quality. -My 2 cents, Peace
  2. where do science and religions meet?

I made a post about Spirituality as a subjective science about a week ago. Check it out, some of the videos may interest you. http://www.thetaobums.com/index.php?/topic/20747-spirituality-a-science/
  3. Sex and Karma

I think Karma exists, its simply self-created...not some external force that dictates our destiny. We often have to wrestle with all the negative thought-forms which we created unconsciously in the past and that continue to suck our energy. -Anyone who has invested time in self-cultivation can tell how it is necessary that they must die to there previous selves in order to grow beyond there limitations. -Mu 2 cents, Peace
  4. Sex and Karma

I have never heard a teacher talk about sex this way. Very interesting perspective. For about the first 2 minutes he talks about body memory, sex and how it can affect you negatively.
  5. This book is brilliant. -It is an amazing introduction to Tantra and conveys the philosophy and some of the practices of Tantra in an effortless fashion. -I highly recommend this book.
  6. wishing to hear advice and wisdom

I have been where your at...Keep practicing. -Good luck, Chris
  7. Sex and Karma

We can have innumerable amount of deep and intimate relationships with others...but they don't have to be sexual, sometmes non-sexual relationships can be even deeper than those we have with lovers. Karma means acion. For certain actions there are natural consequences: some are good some are bad. Sexual relationships can be very good and healthy, why would healthy relationship karmatically indebt us? I think simply sex is a superficial way of looking at karma, IMO its more about the conscious and unconscious attachements that we carry which may cause you to hold yourself back. Its all energy be it sex or whatever. -My 2 cents, Peace
  8. Real levitating buddhist monk?

IMO believing in anything is stupid, live by experience. -My 2 cents, Peace
  9. I'm a little confused

It was not any arguments that triggered the switch in the forum. Someone made a poll thread about creating a new divide in the forum and the majority of people wanted an new section or 2.
  10. Thoughts, energy, interconnectedness

Simple and to the point. Good stuff

  12. What are you watching on Youtube?

Been watching a lot of Sadghuru, good stuff.
  13. Learn Tai Chi on Youtube

Been learning and practicing a bit of Tai Chi as of late. I originally bought a DVD to learn the basic 24 form but i actually found a better way of learning online and for free. -This guys a really good teacher and goes through all the motions quite thoroughly, though it is probably by no means a adequate substitute for a real life teacher it can definitely get you started in learning the motions. -I posted the first 7 motions of Yang 24 form below, you'll have to get the rest of them online from his page http://www.youtube.com/user/taijiman7777#p/a Enjoy http://www.youtube.com/user/taijiman7777#p/u/58/WD9XEI8q0Lw
  14. Spontaneous Movement Qigong

  16. Living proof that qigong works!

Jay, you just put a big juicy smile on my face
  17. Dhyanalinga

Anyone got any experience using or being in the presence of a Dhyanalinga? Its supposedly represents the most refined form of energy of the 7 chakras but just isn't in the human body. Its supposedly like sitting in the presence of a guru which very few people have the opportunity to do. Any one have some experience with this stuff? The pictures of it seem to give off a good vibe. http://dhyanalinga.org/about.htm
  18. Dhyanalinga

I have not read any biography of Jaggi Vasudev, but have read the book: Midnights with the Mystic and have been watching his videos online. So i have been drinking the Kool-aid for a couple of months. IMO he seems like a very genuine cat. He runs a non-profit organization (Isha Foundation) that teaches Inner-Engineering which is a form of self cultivation.
  19. something's up?

Death is not a problem. However, living in an apocalyptic world with sufferring all around us would be difficult for some. My 2 cents, Peace
  20. Taking Refuge.

Everything in this world can be taken from you: your life, your possessions, your comapnions...etc -No one can take the Buddha out of you...so take refuge there in the one thing that will always remain. My 2 cents, Peace
  21. Kunlun:4 Years later

I have heard so many bad things about Kunlun. I'm glad that an actual practitioner has come along and shared his experiences rather than proposing theories. -Peace
  22. A Sincere Apology

No one is perfect. Be easy.
  23. The point of no return comes back !

As a 2nd note i'd caution you in building up to much heat on your genitals and then going cool again...bouncing your arousal up and down can put a lot of strain on your tissues and your balls in general. -I have had two very painful experiences because i wanted to see to what degree i could toy with my sexual energy. Peace
  24. The Path of the Confused

Not trying to get you to find a guru or bow to someone...nor am i a student of Sadghuru. Im simply using his words to make a point...when we have a fixed perspective on life and ourselves we kill all chance of growth due to that attachment...i can feel the judgment and attachment to ideals overflowing in your post. The best teachers IMO encourage the seeker to look within and see there own ignorance instead of picking up points of view like pennies. Real knowledge comes from experience. IMO you cannot speak or hand someone enlightenment (not saying i am enlightened) just like you cannot tell someone what an apple is...it must be tasted and touched. Also where there's smoke there's fire, if what i said angered you then its likely that you've got some blockages or unresolved emotions...look within. -I wish you the best of luck. Peace
