Interesting, in the next chapter in the Way of Energy he talks about that. Why is it so important? -
I've been watching Lam Kam Chuens Stand still and be fit videos on youtube. Really good stuff, he gives good advice on form that are helping me better my posture when practicing. -Found a good warm up exercise in Day 3, very refreshing and energizing.

What is your favorite Qigong System and Why?
RiverSnake replied to Raymond Wolter's topic in General Discussion
Was wondering is there anything dangerous or inherently wrong practicing more than one Chi Kung in the day. -For example say i do 20 minutes of ZZ -Then i do 30 minutes of another Chi Kung -Then i do 20 minutes of meditation...etc. Do Chi Kung systems and their purposes ever conflict with each other or is it simply the more Chi Kung the better. -
Rarely do i eat sweets, rarely do i ever drink soda or anything with high fructose corn syrup in it. Also i was a vegetarian for a year and never once had any temptations. Also i've never heard of people saying that being a vegan makes you more spiritual: must be some new age thing. I don't foresee veganism as being a struggle for me once i get a set of food ranges down for a diet plan. -I was talking to my friend last night and he was telling me about his 81 year hippey uncle who still fucks young women and goes bungie jumping. He also told me that his uncle developed prostate cancer and that because of his diet (Vegan) the cancer never spread and was actually going into remission because he was so healthy and that doctors were having him record his diet so that they could use it for research. -Also as independent as i am the ability to be able to live completely of the land appeals to me. -Thanks for the advice everyone.

I'm also just starting Qi Gong (ZZ) as well. It's my understanding that the primary benefit of qi gong is health related: improving ones own health. But accordingly it seems like there are various other applications of chi kung, and what makes a system "complete"? Seems like there are many things i don't know about this area of study? -
Learned a bit, thanks.

The amazing thing about this is what he said at the end. This guy was walking on eggs meaning he couldn't use too much of his leg strength to tow the car otherwise the eggs would break. He's primarily using his ear. In the iron crotch video he's using a lot of leg strength to pull.

Cool stuff.

Effilang i understand where your coming from. However, its important to respect other people's freedom of choice. -Even if this Indian Yoga guy put all his knowledge in a single book and gave it away for free there are still many paths that an individual can take and this path might not necessarily speak to the heart of many people out their (thus not making them motivated). -There is much more i could say but i'll leave it at that. -Also a good book to see what motivates others is called "The DNA of Success", very good read -Peace

How do we find our personal spirit guide?
RiverSnake replied to Edward M's topic in General Discussion
I have not read this particular book by Ted Andrews, but am currently reading another book of his and am enjoying it. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0738708127/ref=ord_cart_shr?ie=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER -
Real cool stuff. I'm very committed to my energetic practices already but it's nice to see other people strutting their stuff: quite inspiring.

Thanks for the tip. I'll try it today.

I noticed when doing Zhang Zhuang that i'm quite easy prey for mosquitos.

Thanks for all the info. Buy "classes" i didn't mean school as in formal education, i meant studying under a proper Kundalini practicioner or guru, which i have not done. -I live in miami and i'm aware of gurus like Santi who live near and have heard nothing but good things. However, in my gut if feel that i should wait (the time and circumstances are not yet ripe yet) and continue my daily meditative and Zhan Zhuang practices. -The only book i've partially read on Kundalini is by John Selby(i've set it down for the present). It appears to be somewhat of an introduction to the topic and was wondering what those who are experienced practicioners feel towards this book. http://www.amazon.com/Kundalini-Awakening-Gentle-Activation-Spiritual/dp/0553353306/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top -

Sounds like an interesting exercise to try in the future. But what you mean by bricks stood on end?
