Indeed, "the more corrupt the state, the more it legislates." Tacitus (lets not go down this route)

There is a saying: "Good ideas don't require force."

Energy Shielding - Theory & Practice
RiverSnake replied to Jeff's topic in Esoteric and Occult Discussion
Intent is the tool for manipulating subtle energies. Use your intent to shape whatever you need. That's the bare bones of it....there is more. -
The "core" issue....the center from which many other issues emanate. Also now that we have a shielding and cleansing thread people can educate themselves on how to make sure they don't absorb other peoples funky spunk. In terms of vulgar language, i guess it makes sense to refer to the forum guidelines and see if it violates anything. I know when i am out in the real world talking to my guy friends that we talk quite vulgarly to the point it would make most Taoists blush. I think this reflects the difference between "chatting" and more formal conversations we have in the forum area. This can also reflect the difference in communication style between men and women. As men we tend to be quite crass and direct in our speech (atleast that is the culture where i am).

The core issue seems to be that some people get uncomfortable when talking about sex. That this discomfort should lead us on a path to censorship.....i find quite disconcerting.

Sometimes life can throw obstacles in our path. It's important to remember that Qigong is easy, you can even do it while your on the shitter or in the shower.

Energy Shielding - Theory & Practice
RiverSnake replied to Jeff's topic in Esoteric and Occult Discussion
If you feel your picking up energetic dirt in the chat rooms, then the following may be helpful: Step 1: Remove yourself from the situation (Physically, Emotionally and Psychologically). Step 2: Go take a salt bath (this wipes off gunk). -This is just a simple example, but will help clean you off in most situations. The links below are a couple of useful source texts on the subject. Persistent and intentional psychic attacks are rare, 90% of the time it's your imagination or it's unintentional on the part of the other person. Many people like to live in novella land and the idea of intentional psychic attacks by a big scary "dark magician" can be fuel to play out drama. https://www.amazon.com/Practical-Psychic-Self-Defense-Home-Office-ebook/dp/B009LNGIF8/ref=sr_1_5?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1473648823&sr=1-5#nav-subnav https://www.amazon.com/Protection-Reversal-Magick-Beyond-101/dp/1564148793/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1473647323&sr=1-1&keywords=protection+and+reversal+magick -
Which Form of Qi Gong Do You Recommend for Chronic Fatigue?
RiverSnake replied to roycee00's topic in Daoist Discussion
Stay away from Mantak Chia. His techniques can be very hit or miss. Daily chi kung helps build up the energy body. -
Glad to see the Mod Squad is stocking up on the Yin Power. Its almost a balanced number.

This It's not healthy to try and protect people from themselves or trying to legislate vibratory and astral reality....this is stupid. But what we can do is create a basic thread on Psychic Hygiene in the Chat Room area so that Bums can have a source of knowledge to refer to should they run into trouble. -
Self-Healing is a long and intense but rewarding process. Best of luck on your path.

Which Form of Qi Gong Do You Recommend for Chronic Fatigue?
RiverSnake replied to roycee00's topic in Daoist Discussion
Healing takes time, how long have you been doing the healing techniques your talking about? If your getting results all i would say is keep doing what your doing(perhaps do even more of it), see a professional healer as a compliment to the work your doing. Michael Lomax does some good distance healing work. -
There are many systems of Elements. The one you are referring to is Western-Hermetic system which was influenced by Vedic traditions. Gerard is referring to the Chinese elemental system. 1. It's important. 2. Yes 3. Lot of different ways to reach internal harmony. Franz Bardon in Initiation into Hermetics spends a great deal of time and emphasis on elemental balancing exercises. Aryuveda and TCM also looks at elemental balancing of the body. I don't personally spend much time dwelling on the elements but just focus on working through blockages. If you have an internal practice already that your getting good results from....i'd say just keep doing it. Cheers.

Questions about the Neidan firing process
RiverSnake replied to BrightMoon's topic in Daoist Discussion
Sounds like some Tummo like practices that you may be referencing. Using the locks and breath to create internal heat. Sexual Sorcery by Jason Miller has some good techniques in there regarding cultivating Inner Fire for alchemical purposes. The Bliss of Inner Fire by Lama Thubten Yeshe is also quite good. -
Welcome to TTB. Cool screen name.

Go to an experienced TCM doctor. But that aside, it might be a good time to make a change to ones life so you can regain lost life force. Eat healthy foods, get adequate sleep, be aware of how you handle your sexual energy and practice internal work so that you can start regaining potency in ones system and repair the damage done.
