You may want to leave the kindergarden logic at the door. Do not take for granted how complicated these things can become once you get deep into them.

You will likely find many insights on this forum. Welcome to TTB.

Saw this and had to post it.

Welcome to TTB. I look forward to you sharing your expertise with the forum.

In Taoism the main method for the circulation of chi Is called chi kung.

Certain meditative practices help circulate and refine excess sexual energy. If you have no cultivation experience, jumping into retention without methods for dissolving impurities in the body can be like putting a fish in a microwave. Sexual energy amplifies imbalances in the system, thus it's important to have methods that clean out and balance the body.

Do you have an internal practice?

Five star post. Divination is a skill well worth cultivating.

Thanks for sharing your experience Silent. I don't do much Pranayama, but the experiences i've had with have been very intense. Strong exhaling into parts of the body gathers strong bursts of chi to any area it touches in greater durations than any other method i've tried. I had a similar experience one time of sitting next to a person while i was trying a new meditation technique (not pranayama). I was bursting into pretty intense bliss and the lady whom was sitting next to me in class started to look around and she said that she felt the room moving around her and the floor shifting underneath her feet. Lol.

Hey Silent would you be able to elaborate on this?

Trees and plants are great teachers, friends and qigong partners. Practice with them daily. As for the bit about avoiding gurus...use your common sense and do your research beforehand.

Where should you start.....where do you want to go? The type of practitioners on the site are extremely varied. I don't really identify with any particular religion but in terms of techniques i use for my growth: 1. Taoist 2. Buddhist .....and an amalgam of several others.

Welcome to TTB. You'll find many different forms of Qigong talked about on the forum.

The more divisions you make, the more complicated these things become. I like simple.

Whatever action you take, magical or mundane, just be true to yourself. When you align your actions/intent with your own inner truth then things naturally flow.

Many esoteric principles.

I didn't say forums were "wrong" or that the forum should disappear, just that there are other social media platforms for exchanging information and was wondering if TTBs had contemplated entering those trends as an expansion of the forum. I belong to several facebook groups which are excellent, but yes, generally speaking they are a Wild Wild West of exchange.

Fair enough.
