how do you find a legit practitioner / teacher / instructor ?
RiverSnake replied to mike 134's topic in General Discussion
There are many KAP teachers in Miami-Dade. They have online and in person workshops. An article you may find useful: http://www.kundaliniawakeningprocess.com/blog/powerful-daily-health-practices-that-also-prevent-and-alleviate-kundalini-syndrome/ http://kundaliniawakeningprocess.com My 2 cents, Peace -

I am currently reading Strategic Sorcery. The book is phenomenal, he does really know how to lay it out in plain English like no other author I've read. My 2 cents, Peace

If you practice sitting meditation, which position do you use?

Half lotus and Burmese for me. Sometimes standing and laying. One day I'll get too full lotus comfortably. My 2 cents, Peace -

Compliment your qigong with daily salt baths and continue doing the shielding. You could also go into trance and disable the structure that's being thrown at you. Best of luck. My 2 cents, Peace

Favourite Hermetic & Occult Books
RiverSnake replied to Seth Ananda's topic in Esoteric and Occult Discussion
I just started reading Strategic Sorcery by Jason Miller. I can already tell its gonna be a classic in my library. He presents his material in such clarity and balanced depth that is sorely lacking in the majority of occult literature. Quite excellent so far. http://www.amazon.com/Sorcerers-Secrets-Strategies-Practical-Magick/dp/160163059X/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1401070174&sr=1-1&keywords=strategic+sorcery My 2 cents, Peace- 45 replies

One of my favorite books on Zen is "Zen Flesh, Zen Bones". Many beautiful and famous stories and koans throughout. Koans can be stories, questions and many other things. Well worth reading: http://www.amazon.com/Zen-Flesh-Bones-Collection-Writings/dp/0804831866/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1401062142&sr=1-1&keywords=zen+flesh+zen+bones My 2 cents, Peace

Those zen dudes love there koans. Not sure if he's actually referring to the act of eating more than the awareness one should bring into the act. My 2 cents, Peace

I see celibacy simply as a result of shifting the flow of energy in our body upwards. When energy is flowing upward you want to be free of all limitations. When it's flowing downwards you want to get jiggy with it. Identifying with either of these states as a part of your personality and who you are is a trap. There simply two different states of being with different intents and purposes. I think it is important for the individual to develop this flexibility where they can shift between the two without judgement. My 2 cents Peace

I have found that one of the biggest opponents to ones practice is food. When were full we have difficulty with meditating or practice chi kung. However, i order to still practice and not waste any time i have found shavasana quite useful because we can just lay in this posture whether were full of food or not…..and energy seems to circulate throughout the body without us doin a darn thing. I thought this was a beautiful video and would like to hear the opinions of our resident Tao Bum Buddhists on his discussion of Buddhism and Atheism. He has many other videos as well. My 2 cents, Peace
