  1. Getting pretty Spammy in here

    Don't jinx it.
  2. Lama Dorje

I do not have the necessary eyes to see. But he seems quite impressive….both in his martial skill and in his spiritual and philosophical insight. Thanks for sharing Zen-Bear. My 2 cents, Peace
  3. Choosing Style of QiGong?

A useful thread: http://thetaobums.com/topic/27757-what-is-the-best-qigong-lineage-to-start-out-with/ My 2 cents, Peace

  5. Gift of the Tao II Neigong Movements

Thanks for the advice Michael, I'll keep that in mind. I have been mainly focusing on S-M and GOT 1 and haven't done GOT 2 (besides SECA&DE) in many months. Is it alright to do GOT 2 as stand alone movements or should you always do GOT 1 in the same session before going to GOT 2? I generally don't have enough time to both in the same session. My 2 cents, Peace
  6. Gift of the Tao II Neigong Movements

Been having some interesting experience with GOT as of late. I am used to going into spontaneous shaking while practicing GOT....but this time I starting running, hopping, and dancing in spirals. I ran around in spirals that progressively got smaller and smaller until I fell over off balance onto the ground and stayed there until my vision stopped spinning. Anyone have this experience before? It felt quite shamanic in nature. Also I know it is important to stay hydrated as this stuff burns through a lot of water. But does how well hydrated your are before you practice influence the efficiency of the energetics when you practice? My 2 cents, Peace
  7. I look forward to hearing your month progress report. Best of luck with your practice.....and Michael made an excellent point.....good beer only! My 2 cents, Peace
  8. Whats surprising is that the new pope is quite liberal in his theology and social thought. I heard that several high ranking officials within the church renounced there positions after his first speech. I hope he doesn't get assassinated. http://www.aleteia.org/en/religion/article/the-16-most-important-quotes-from-pope-francis-interview-5278188389269504 My 2 cents, Peace

  12. The Power of "Ignore"

Randomly thought about this thread yesterday. I think much of what i wrote can be summed up in these several principles: 1. Choose your battles 2. Control your emotions 3. Have the necessary wisdom/insight to recognize and remove yourself from a no-win argument/situation My 2 cents, Peace
  13. What an amazing thread. Cant believe i missed this. Awesome!! My 2 cents, Peace

  15. I love what i am doing right now and the life path i have chosen. I don't see any end in sight to my enthusiasm and love for my current trajectory. If i had another week or another 100 years to live and i won the lotto and was set for life, i don't find it likely that my path/bliss would change much. My 2 cents, Peace
  16. What are you reading right now?

Just started reading "The Art of Learning" by Josh Watzkins. It had been sitting on my shelf for awhile…this morning i spontaneously picked it up and read through a good chunk. An excellent book and i am really enjoying it. I am hoping it will help me progress in my Silat practice. http://www.amazon.com/The-Art-Learning-Journey-Performance/dp/0743277465/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1390921754&sr=8-1&keywords=The+Art+of+learning My 2 cents, Peace
  17. Am I a Taoist or a Zen Buddhist?

Life is more exciting when you don't label yourself. You never know whats in the box. My 2 cents, Peace

  21. Removing Sex Curse.

I do take some issue with this statement. IMO, what makes sex sacred is the intent that you go into the bedroom with and the sincerity of the individuals involved. Some sex can be sacred, some sex can be boring, some sex can be downright wrong in every sense of the word. Depends on the energies involved....IMO. My 2 cents, Peace
  22. Removing Sex Curse.

In the future…..I'd add that never be mean to a women in a breakup….let them think they broke up with you. Chicks get pissed and will usually try to ruin your social life and get revenge. Of-course this can happen with men as well. My 2 cents, Peace

  24. What Happened To Gerard ?

Its a revolving door here at TTBs. Practitioners come, practitioners go.....such is the way I suppose. I enjoyed his posts while he was here and having people with his level of experience around these parts is always helpful. My 2 cents, Peace
  25. My girlfriend wants to lose weight

In the very short periods of time that I have been slightly chunky I would just fast for a day. You can fast for a day and also workout at the same time....but that's a bit hardcore. But fasting regularly will help cut down on some pounds and is also very healthy. My 2 cents, Peace
