What did meditation do to me? Please read...
RiverSnake replied to Under's topic in General Discussion
I don't know the solution to your problems....but take comfort in knowing that your not alone with these experiences. Sometimes people have spontaneous awakenings. I have personally experience some of what you speak of....loss of emotions...loss of sexual desire.....only I was already walking the path so I was able to take it in stride.....it wasn't a spontaneous thing. The only advice I can give you is to pray. Cast your intent out into the Universe. Is there a religion or a god/goddess you have a connection with? Whatever your feeling pray to find an answer. If your an atheist you can still just pray to the Universe. This is the best advice I can offer.....perhaps more advanced practitioners than I can give deeper insights. My 2 cents, Peace- 127 replies

Off-Topic: For Bloggers of all kinds
RiverSnake replied to Unseen_Abilities's topic in The Rabbit Hole
I use blogger. I thought it had the cleanest and smoothest looking design. But that's just my opinion…i am not tech savvy at all. Just looked at other blogs and compared notes. My 2 cents, Peace -

I was at my martial arts class last week and one of the guys said. "Are we losers here on a Friday night with nothing else to do?" I responded, "I am training and training is what i do for fun. I am glad to be here." He said that he wishes he had that attitude when he was younger like me and how he wasted much of his youth doing stuff that in the long run wasn't really fulfilling (Women, partying….etc). Many other people there began to agree with him. I have gotten this response from many people because whenever i go somewhere like a workshop or talk to other esotericists i am usually the youngest one amongst them and they all tell me how they wish they started younger. So i decided to create this poll to see what the general statistics and opinions of the community at large are.

Sexual energy & the phases of the moon
RiverSnake replied to yabyum24's topic in Esoteric and Occult Discussion
Had some pretty Intense experiences this New Years….thought it might have had something to do with the Moon being full. My 2 cents, Peace -
Some deep stuff. I often struggle with the desire to shout from the roof tops to practice Chi Gung....it's the most amazing thing ever....but the amount of commitment and discipline needed isn't something to snuff at.....guess everyone finds there calling at their own pace. I was actually having a conversation with a friend a couple of days ago regarding monk hood and he was having difficulty comprehending it.....I just told him It can't be something pushed on people through dogma....needs to come from within. My 2 cents, Peace

IME, when you develop a certain level of sensitivity you can feel what individuals you have a connection with…(i don't consider this advance as i am not advance). Also you can use divination to know whether an individual is a suitable partner for you and use divination to pick apart the relationship equation so to speak. My 2 cents, Peace -
Lol….i love it when that happens. Nothing like a slap in the face from the universe telling you "You don't know what you don't know". My 2 cents, Peace

IMO, that is what our culture promotes…and most people are a product of there culture and the psychological structures that there family puts on them as a youth. Not many have the self-awareness can see past the pull of there hormones. Monkey see…monkey do. My 2 cents, Peace

It has also been my experience that people need to be caught at a certain point of open-ness in order to be receptive to esotericism. There are internal cycles as well as external cycles that we follow. Though of course we all also have are own unique internal make-up which responds differently. My 2 cents, Peace

Been interested in Feng Shui myself lately. Found these 2 books which seem to have a pretty potent vibe: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1936401568/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_4?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0767903595/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_5?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER My 2 cents, Peace

Indeed, i do not believe in predetermination but i do believe in choices and that they often define us and the character of our path. Starting young for me was great….but even that choice had some pretty deep sacrifices. My 2 cents, Peace

I feel that is often the trial of ones youth. We have so much energy and potential…but finding a balanced and healthy channel for that energy is difficult. My 2 cents, Peace

Lol, i have had the same experience. I started contemplating and practicing greater themes than getting laid when i was around 19-20 (i am 23 now.) Yet sometimes i wish i started practicing younger and think to myself "Oh my God…only if i started when i was 8 or 9 like that other guy did!!!! LOL!!. Yet one simply has to be satisfied with the present and use the lessons of the past to make better on the future. My 2 cents, Peace

Thank You to all the TB Mods of 2013

I have found it to be a very useful feature when I find a member consistently trolls the forum and never contributes anything of value. It helps scan through threads and really get to the meat of what's being said rather than having to scan through rant and raves of immature members. But then again maybe I am just an evil and low class bum in disguise.....seducing others to the dark side of TTB. My 2 cents, Peace

I try not to make direct intellectual intentions as the conscious mind tends to rebound and fight what the conscious mind attempts (something I picked up from Bardon). If i have a goal i just relax into it and never intellectually admit i am pursuing it even though i possibly may be doing so. Either that or I state it in the presence tense as if I have already accomplished so the conscious mind won't struggle and but up obstacles I possibly..might be attempting to add more of a flowing nature to all areas of my life and esoteric practices this year..possibly.
