  1. Full-lotus fallacy

Hear hear! Important points here! We are so easily trapped by the things we wont admit to ourselves. When we see our blindspots the embarrassment is enough to jump right out the window. And we also too often think that as long as it is energy there are different rules. As if beaming is great, scanning is amazing, and exchanging energy with strangers is something the strangers want because the DIVINE itself has told us so. When we enter the subtler realms, the same laws of ethics apply. They are just more subtle. Just like rapists are people without selfcontrol or selfexamination in this realm, scanners and beamers are are without selfcontrol and selfexamination in the subtler realms. There are just subtler issues and illusions controling them.
  2. Taoist Yoga

Yea I agree with Wun Yuen Gong, Dao Zhen! Thank you for the videos! Looks like a really nice and fun practice!
  3. Chinese Medical Qigong Therapy

Really? What makes it so good?
  4. Your Last Breath On Earth

How about you, Little1? How do you feel about your questions?
  5. Im not the expert here, but Im learning a lot by reading what the experts here on taobums say. I believe meditation and dream yoga would classify as shen gong - spiritual work. But taoists deal with the jing-qi-shen trinity, so they also need a method to cultivate qi. And therefore qi gong - energy work. What do you experts think? Am I close?
  6. Your Last Breath On Earth

This is a wonderful question I contemplate every day. Its now maby 10 years since I realized Im really going to die and it is meaningless to feel miserable. I had a big change when I was so depressed that killing myself wouldt give me enough misery. I had tunnelvision when I decided to live the rest of my life as miserable as I could. The day after it all was surprinsingly dissolving. And since then I have been building my life in a way that makes me not regret it when I die. If this where my last breath it would be a happy one. I have the girl I love, the job I love, the cultivation method I love, and I have created my life from a suicidal bottom to the the way it is now. I would feel a little proud actually. And I have nothing to regret because I have learned from my mistakes. I dont know exactly where on the map of my souls evoultion I am, but Im pretty shure Im on track.
  7. Respect For Full Lotus

So nice of you to post the picture! How was the retreat? What did you learn? Did you meditate all day or did he teach a lot of theory too? Are you allowed to sit on a pillow or something to lift the spine a little or does Wang LiPing make you sit flat on the floor?
  8. David Verdesi

Maby if you spent a little more time loving and feeling compassion you would understand that there is no need to project it all the time. If your heart is full the need to talk about it or show off with it is completely gone. So insted of projecting your own lack of love, spend a little time here and contribute your perspective to the taobums! It is needed
  9. I am back

Thanks! How long do you stay in each posture?

  11. Your views about DAN TIAN!

Good. I had this discussion with Jedi(I think...) a little while ago. I realized then that calling scanners rapists was a little too harsh. There are different levels of intrusion, and different levels of scanning ability, even different levels of objectivity. But still...scanning people here and there is not something Id take lightly. Id much rather recommend to physically go see them or actually asking them if it was ok to scan them. To ask the divine if it is ok to intrude on their privacy is not enough either. Not if one really knows what one is doing and that it is being recognized by the person being scanned. Its a useful ability, but also something to not take too lightly. When you are a surgeon you only use your skills in sterile a environment! A lot of spiritual people dont have that kind of ethics, even after decades of cultivation and refinement of their skills. And most people dont know that their scanning still is limited to their spiritual conditioning. So it is not an objective tool. It is a tool to compare the person that are being scanned to the beliefsystems of the scanner. If you see what I mean?
  12. Your views about DAN TIAN!

So you've scanned Verdesis energy systems? And was that what made you come to the conclusion that he was a bullshitter?
  13. I am back

Yin/yang together? That sounds interesting, how is that posture? (if you would like to share?)
  14. Shaking Practice in Bali

Sounds like a lot of fun! Can it even be more funny than Kunlun??? hahaha
  15. Shaking Practice in Bali

Hey Tidalwave! Thanks! I have cheked what is possible to check on the internet I think Dr.Shen is doing a wokshop here in Norway i august and I talked a little bit with his norwegian organizers. They say Yi Jin Jing is several exercises t.ex. one is a standing exercise to lengthen the spine, another is to bring the earth energy up into the body. It seems that bringing the earth energy into the body is an important factor in this system, and thereby releasing "binqi" - the negative qi creating disease. They are also very concerned with doing correct, or safe, qigong that does not bring any imbalance or qigong diseases. That is very likeble me thinks They havent done e-mei daoyin here in Norway yet, but the told me it was very hard training. Im wondering if it looks a little like Xing Shen Zhuang, which is also said to orginate from Emei Shan. Im not going to the Yi Jin Jing this time because it is in the middle of my vacation. But when E-mei daoyin comes to Norway Im certainly going! Are you planning to do their Taijiwuxigong, Tidalwave?
  16. I am back

    Oh...short version perhaps?
  17. I am back

Hey Li Jiong. I would like to ask you one more question about the wuji posture. What would you say is the difference between having the palms face the body and having the palms face backwards(like in your picture)? And would it be a completely different posture if the palms face the body and turned upwards like a cowboy-posture?
  18. Daoist Muscle Tendon Change classic

This is really an interesting observation SFJane! Can you say a little more about that? How does the small micromovements look like? How do we see if the whole body is opening? Are these micromovements seen in the joints or other parts of the body?
  19. Age started?

Started regular meditation at 15. Took a few years to realize I would dedicate my life to spiritual work. I dont really think age matters that much. Some people can spend decades cultivating without going anywhere. What matters more is to find a good teacher and a teaching that resonnates deep within you.
  20. Regret in life

Im shure that if we were able to see how our old age would turn out, a lot of us would be disgusted. If we know how it feels to get Altzheimers, dementia, organfailure, nerveproblems, not being able to eat, go to the toilet or wash our own body, we would be disgusted and start doing some changes in our life so that we dont experience this in our old age. It does not feel beautiful and wonderful to rot from the inside out. It is not a wonderful feeling to not recognize your own children or to forget what you where talking about in the middle of every sentence you are trying to formulate. It is not a beautful feeling to just sit there, year after year, not being able to do anything, helpless, and still being too afraid to die. But as we grow old we think that this does not happen to us. We have more than enough to deal with right now with job, friends and everydayproblems. A change of diet, lifestyle, emotions and beliefsystems is not the first of our priority. To enjoy junkfood, candy and a good party is probably higher up in our personal priorities. But then we have to deal with sickness and the slowly decaying body when we grow old. And Im shure, if we saw what we put other people(and our family) through with our old age diseases... the fear, the worry, the work, the time spent, the feeling of never being able to live their own complete life because they have to take us to the toilet everyday... if we could see this and recognice that it is our lifestyle right here and right know that creates all this mess when we grow old, then Im shure we would do some changes. But normally we dont see this. We might think about it. Maby we understand it. Or maby we talk about it when we are a little drunk and philosophical at a party. But we dont REALIZE it and live the realization. But knowing that old age is disgusting does not mean that we dont love old and sick people. It dosent mean that we dont want to help them either. It just means that when we are concious of it, it is not something we want, not for ourselves or anyone.
  21. ---

Yes! A very exiting game indeed You are very generous to allow full viewing of your book. Ill be reading it the next few days. I dont think Dillard is into Carl Jung though. Carl Jung is more into archetypes and the like, isnt he? Dillards method is just dialogueing with the dream elements. This way there is no need for interpretation, remebering symbol meanings or anything like that. The dreamer knows allready why the dream is the way it is, and by dialogueing with the dream elements we learn to listen. So we learn more and more to listen to the consciousness behind the illusion we are presented.
  22. Regret in life

I started meditating when I was 15. Now Im 31 and still have the apperance and humor of a 15-year old. THAT sucks just as much
  23. ---

Thanks for your explenation on Dream Yoga! This is actually the exact same principles Dr.Joseph Dillard bases his Dream Yoga on He also calls it Deep Listening because it is about learning to listen to the dream characters and what they are telling you. From their perspectives, not our normal everyday-perspective. And after listening to them they have told you what they help you with, then you spend a week (or more) identifying with them to integrate the soul qualities they are presenting to you in the dream. Do you have a method of indentifying with the dream characters? In Dillards Dream Yoga we do an interview with questions lined up in a specific order to get the dialogue going. And it dosent matter if you do it on dream characters from a dream or a character from waking life. Its all the same. It can also be done on emotions or whatever. I find that identifying with the not-so-obvious characters, like places, rooms, walls, areas, things like that, I get a lot more surprising and helpful feedback than if I work with characters like friends, animals or other things I normally have a strong emotional indetification with. The most interesting parts a dream is the Dream Consciousness, as Dillard calls it. Or "the Dream Being", as you call it. The creator of the dream. By indentifying with the Dream Consciousness you get a direct link to the formless consciousness behind the illusion of our reality, and this is of great help in meditation. Do you write about your Dream Yoga in the free book? If so Ill certainly read it! Its so good to hear more people working with dreams in a more dialoguing and listening way than just projecting the pre-interprated symbols on it. Is so damn limiting!
  24. weird that money is holding me back....

You can just tune in to the divine and make it reveal the teaching to you. No teacher og money required. A lot of people think that is the highest teaching No, seriously, do what it takes to make the things you want happen. If it takes having a crappy job, or two or three crappy jobs at the same time, saving up all the money you can, no sugar, alkohol, sigarets or fanzy restaurats for years... if thats what it takes to get what you really really want, do it! If you are lucky to get more lukurative options than a lot of crappy jobs, then take them Just be shure to allways be open to the opportunities that are given you. Keep your goal clear in your mind and just observe what possibilities are presented to you, and dont hesitate to take them! And there is allways meditations, practices and a lot of stuff that is free, or at least very cheap, that you can use to prepare yourself to the training you really want to do. There is even a lot of people here that are willing to help you when you have questions. So no worries
