What do you mean by the techniques "we" have at our disposal? Do you mean the techniques we have available in this world? Cause if you do I think you should try to open your eyes to how big this world really is, how many techniques we have here. Most of them arent even famous....many of them havent been written in books... And, not only is this world big, but when you are at the level where you can transcend this world, a whole new and even bigger world appears, with a lot more techniques to use. I find this discussion very strange, but also pretty funny. Strange because here are people who meditate and feel the vastness of the universe every day, still thay think that it is limited if one is gay. Funny because my teacher is gay, and it certainly doesnt seem to have stopped his cultivation. The limitations people put on their practices isnt more than just that, limitations they put on their practices. The universe, or tao, is not limited in any way. Only our perspective is.

Most Important Things You Have Learned (re: Qigong, Neigong)
sheng zhen replied to mwight's topic in General Discussion
The most important thing I have learned is that the universe, my body and my soul is a lot more intelligent than me. Through stillness meditation and qigong I let these intelligences work in me, and not the other way around. -
It takes just 10 min to workout the whole body. More than that is not recommended for normal mortals. My machine is called called Vibroplate. The vibrating plate is very small so I can only do a limited amount of positions. My favorite exercise is just to sit on it. It works well for me because I am so lazy, but it also leaves me with a very good feeling in my spine. And my ass gets a massage. That makes it worth the price(which was not very much, only 300$)

Ive never met Master Li, but I really love his qigong. The Mohammed sitting is just great and it grows to feel better and better everyday.

I have tried mixing several thing with my kunlun practice during thes three weeks I have practiced. Or I dont mix while doing kunlun, but I might rather say I combine practices. Not everyone with good results. But I had to try. My best experience has been with doing Muhammed sitting qigong after a kunlun session. I think Kunlun has expanded my sensitivity and experience of qigong a thousandfold! My other qigong feels so much better and I think I am able to understand the movements, or experience their effect, a lot more now than before I started doing Kunlun. But while doing Kunlun I experience that Im not able to mix. Whenever I focus on something, like my knee or toes or heart or a chakra or a channel, the flow in my bouncing legs stop and I realize I have to work on letting go again. I have forund that Kunlun works best when Im able to totally let go of everything and dont focus on anything.

That would be one great show! Maby we could create a new reality concept?? We could put a lot enlightened masters together in a house and then let the public vote every week who they think is the most enlightened! Every week they get a 10 minute satsang in front of the camera where they have to convince the public about their own enlightenment. Maby they can get different weekly assignments like levitation, miracleworking, light emmitting. And the winner gets 1 million new followers. But I think actually many people are stepping forward these days. Many are the real deal, and many are not. My teacher say it doesent matter. You can still learn something. In the end you can learn something valuble from anyone, anywhere. It dosent matter if it is an enlightened one or not. Enlightenment is just a wet dream of the ego. When we get there it is not at all a beatuiful white and cozy place. Truth dosent show mercy, it dosent adjust and it is not negotiable.

There is the Zen saying you all probably know: before enlightenment I chop wood and carry water. after enlightenment I chop wood and carry water. But it is really good to know we will use less paper! That way we can contribute positively to the environment.

I have one of these vibration machines at home actually. It is not as breathtaking and amazing as the commercials want us to believe, but still very good. I think it is good for streching and massage after a workout, but it is also very good for detoxification. The vibration and different positions gets the circulation going throughout the whole body and helps release toxins. Most people experience detox-symptoms the first times they try this kind of workout. And they forget to drink a lot of water so they get problems like headache, nausea and dizziness the first times.

Whenever you call your "self" enlightened, the universe will show you are so much more than that There are more than enough people in the world who call them selves enlightened prematurely. Why bother? Being enlightened dosent make you anymore important than not being enlightened. And if you think being enlightened makes you more important, it would be an indication that it isnt enlightenment.

To understand the damage smoking does is pretty easy. Just notice how your body feels after meditation or qigong. Then smoke a little and notice the difference. It is not so subtle. It is actually pretty obvious. But the more you smoke, the harder it is to notice. Thats the problem. If you are very sensitive, try seeing how smoking affects your aura , chakras or energy channels. It looks like a nightmareish fog clouding this beautiful energy. I used to smoke a lot. I smoked everything that could be smoked. And quit smoking was extremely hard for me. But when I realized how it affects my energy and spirituality I was so ashamed I decided to really go through with it. Its now 6 years ago and Ive never had an urge to do it again. Unless you are at the level Max sais he is and can burn away or transmute every energy into something uplifting, I would not recommend smoking if you are cultivating your energy and spirituality. If you still choose to smoke you will certanly notice the harmful effect it has when you grow old!

I totally agree with Lin. Whenever we define enlightenment, the unlimited universe will show us it is so much more than our limited definition. But, at the same time, every definition we make is a part of the whole truth. Whatever way we define enlightenment will be a part of the truth. It is one perspective. This will only be a problem if we think we got the ONE and ONLY true point of view and we start to project this point of view on others.

I dont think the question I have have here been answered in this thread. If it has I must have missed it. Ive been practicing Kunlun 1 for 3 weeks now. The thing that is killing me is my left leg. It never bounce in rythm! My right leg bounce very rythmical and nice all the time, but my left leg is totally out of sync. Do anybody know what to do? I try to just let it be and relax about it, but it is not that easy. For you people who has practiced this for severeal months or years, are your legs bouncing rythmically? Its been said that the right leg bouncing is balancing yang, and the left yin. Does that mean that my yin is out of balance but yang is balanced? One other thing I have experiencend doing Kunlun 1 is that no session is ever the same. There are no patterns, nothing to recognice. Every thing is new every time(other than my left leg). Some times I think that this feeling or movement is great and I look forward to doing it again next day, but then something completely different happens. It is very fascinating!
