This should be #1 in all healing schools! Too often it gets lost in dogma and beliefsystems of what "some teacher said". "What-some-teacher-said" will be confirmed by "what some other teacher said that has learned it from that teacher that said something long time ago". And this again is confirmed by someone hearing about "some other teacher that said something similar some other time" and we get a whole big circle of self-confirmations where noone really has their own experiences. This is what healing mostly is in our culture today.

I do not teach healing because of that exact reason But I truly admire you and those who do teach real healing. I dont have the patience to deal with the 1,995 people that dont listen.

I 100% agree! It would be great if healers would learn to take responsibility for their work instead of projecting everything away. I would say that this connection with the Divine must not be confused with a visualization of the connection learned at some weekend seminar. When the connection is there, which like you say takes years of training, the visualization comes as a result of the connection. Not the other way around. These concepts go against so many healing buisnisses out there some, some even many thousads of years old traditions, so I understand I am stepping on some toes. But I think that when people grow up spiritually, they need to take more responsibility. On every level! Including the subtle ones. If my spiritual development results in taking less responsibility I would seriously reconsider my teacher and the system I am in...

I saw this study a few days ago. Meditation and HIV: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/1867824...Pubmed_RVDocSum

No, you dont need knowledge to have good and rewarding life. Intuition will do just fine. But to do healing and other arts, you need knowledge. And maybe more than knowledge you need awareness. Awareness of all the subtle things that happen during the healing, both in the healer, the client, and the room they are in. Knowledge and awareness is very rare in the healing community.
-
haha, a contiuum of more/less anything, yes No... it is not about knowledge vs. flow. Control vs. flow, yes! But not knowledge vs. flow, no. The flow you experience when you dont know anything, can not be compared to the flow you experience when you know a lot about what you are doing! A little boy will never experience the flow an experienced racecar driver can experience. For a little boy its all about the feeling of driving, but for a racecar driver its about skill! If you dont know what energies you experience, how can you communicate with those energies? The flow in the universe will pass you by simply because you dont recognize it. Like the people holding hands that Ya Mu told us about. None of them recognized the sick qi passing through them. They probably thought they where healing eachother...
-
These not opposites. The more you know, the more you can be aware of, and the more you can flow with the universe.

Good safeguards. For a healer the safeguards are just as(or more) important as the healing. But how can this concept be overly emphasized in healing? What is there to heal unless there is sick qi? If we dont emphasize the mechanisms of sick qi, then how can we know what we are doing? And if we dont know what we are doing, well, then... I think the subtle mechanisms of healing is overly underemphasized in the healing community. People are more into light and love and good fuzzy feelings(which is better than nothing), but too often confuse this with healing diseases.
-
After what Ya Mu explained here, would you still trust your teacher if he told you "aaah, dont worry about it! Just have good intentions and keep projecting that healing energy. It will be fiiiine. No sick qi can hurt you." I wouldnt... But of cource, lucky me to have been introduced to a teacher very early in my carreer that taught me these things.
-
This concept is really overly underestimated. And this understimation is confirmed over and over again by super-high-level healers all over the world that say "everything will be fine as long as you have good intentions". I dont think this topic you present can be emphasized enough!

You present some real gems that are very rare, and very important, in the healing community! I love that! -
Yes, but its not a one-way communication. It is also "as below, so above". Its a dialogue. But I agree with you. When teaching qigong to beginners it can often be very misleading to focus too much on correct posture. People tend to be hung up on doing it objectively "correct" instead of feeling their own body and energy.
-
YaMu, how can you seperate the physical body from our cultivation like that? I am sure you really dont seperate body and consciousness, so I was a little confused with this statement. Can you elaborate on what you mean by saying posture has nothing to do with cultivation? To me it is obvious that with cultivation of energy, attitude, consciousness, etc, we ALSO bring a cultivation of body. Which includes better posture. If our inner cultivation is successful we have to see the result on the physical body aswell. My experience is that the body will mirror our true state at all times. If we have a hunched back, weak core muscles, stiff neck, or whatever, then this is a mirror of some dysfunction also in consciousness and energy. I believe you can work both ways. By working with posture(through Zhan Zhuan, qigong, physical workout, etc), we also cultivate energy. And by working with energy we also cultivate posture. It is very difficult to be happy if your shoulders hang forward. And it is very difficult to be depressed if you spine is strong and erect.
-
Absolutely! Some poeple use colon cleanses and extreme fasting several times a year just to loose a little weight or because they feel a little depressed. Of cource that would not be any more healthy than it would be to NOT do colon cleanse at all. Anything can be abused and it is human nature to be "ego-ing" and abuse things to supress their bad feelings. Even meditation can be abused like that.

This sounds like a real good step! Maps are so often in the way of the real experience. Especially in spiritual development. If you drop the maps and look around where you really are (I mean really, as in "reality"; including inner and outer reality) it will be much easier to progress. And since you have done so much map-reading allready you certainly dont need to worry about getting lost. Go for it!!!

He has one Zen teacher he mentioned in an interview. I dont know the name. He probably has more teachers, but he mentioned this one especially. I think it was in the "cosmic consciousness" interviews.

Interesting... but I didnt understand it... A picture maybe?

The nerves in the intestines come from the same place as the nerves in the brain in the embryo. Thats why we call the stomach "the second brain". A clogged up intenstine full of hard and impenetrable mucus from a lifetime of bad and undigestible food makes it hard to think clearly. After a good colon cleanse you become clear. Both your aura, the rest of the energy system and the mind become clear and you experience life in a totally different way. If you dont experience this clearity, the conlon cleanse was not good enough. (though any cleanse would still be better than nothing!)

Marijuana Revelations; Modern Taoists in Modern China

The problem wih drug-induced realizations is that they are completely stripped of reality. They have no substance. So why dont you save up money, go see Wang Li Ping, see how you will react when you see him, and then tell us how your approached worked out? Usually people have a lot of VERY "high level" thoughts about how they are going to act in the presence ot the master and their own (important) role in the masters life, but when it comes to it they dont do anything. Simply because the realizations they had from drug-experiences lack all sense of reality. -
well, no. I have done many cleanses and fasts myself. Dr. Gray, drinking clay, water fasting, fasting with 1 hour sauna and 3 spoons of chili everyday, fasting with juices, herbal cleanses, etc. And Ive seen other people do many other colon cleanses that I have not done. And non can compare to the effects of Arise and Shine. Seriously. It is very expencive, yes. And very difficult to do. It demands both disipline and money. But it is the best Other than that I can recommend Dr.Gray colon cleanse. The link I posted in my last post. That one is the most effecive I know of that also is easy and cheap.
-
I told you... I have seen the effect it has on people
-
I have not done it yet because it is expencive and difficult to import to Norway. But I have a lot of friends who have done it and Ive seen their change. Its a 4 week program with three weeks of fasting. Drinking only some brown/gray gooey thick drink and some special tablets. I have also seen, and done, a lot of other colon cleanses. And none can compare to the Arise and Shine cleansing program. I have done this one many times: http://www.holistichorizons.com/. Its simple, easy, and does not demand any diet. Yet it is very effective. It last three months though...
