  1. Meditation Question

I agree! Whenever I think I have reached something, there suddenly whole new levels unveils to explore...
  2. Know-it-all

I think this is the nature of taobums simply because there are humans speaking here. This is not a closed forum for only highly evolved qigong masters. So I believe we just have to accept normal human delution and inflated egos as part of the taobums.
  3. Micro-Vibing the Sacrum

I had one treatment with a device like that not long ago. With just a few seconds of vibrating on my foot, the whole foot, the bones and the muscles relaxed all the way up to the hip. It felt amazing! I also got a little bit of vibrating on my trapezius and jaw. Just a few seconds was enough to relax the muscles completely. It was this device: http://www.chirocity.com/browseproducts/Er...ssor-Basic.HTML It is e-x-p-e-n-c-i-v-e-!-!-! Im not sure if the effects are the same though, but it look like they are similar. This one use physical vibration, while the NovaSonic use sound waves.
  4. Meditation is boring and futile

If you are bored of meditation you simply havent experienced it yet. It would be like saying diving is boring while all you have done is dipped you big toe in the water. I like Hagars quote: maybe you arent bored enough! Dont give up. Keep doing it everyday and eventually you will get it. We will allways have periods of stagnation. It is inevitable. But as long as you dont give up, you will also have breakthroughs! Anyways, it is allways good to have a teacher to help you along the way and kick you in the ass when it is needed
  5. Karma Acceleration

Its like waking up in the morning. The body hurts, is stiff and slow. The light is too bright and all you want to do is get back to sleep. Reality hits you: you will be late for work, dammit! Thats karma. But then, as you keep practicing you become warm and flexible and awake. It all becomes more good and easy. And you realize the challenges you get at work is actually pretty fun! If you stop practicing you become stiff and sleepy again.
  6. Myofascial Tensegrity and Zhan Zhuang

    A very good overview of biotensegrity. This little youtube video is PACKED with interesting concepts! <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
  7. Myofascial Tensegrity and Zhan Zhuang

    aha! Thanks!
  8. Myofascial Tensegrity and Zhan Zhuang

Im looking forward to seeing your results! It seems fasica is very important in qi flow. Some scientists say the meridians run through fascia. And my experience is that when I got myofascial massage the qi flow in my whole body got a lot better. Enhancing both my tao yin and zhan zhuang.
  9. Myofascial Tensegrity and Zhan Zhuang

Hello creation. Qigonginstitute.se has been long time students of both Wang and Verdesi. I dont know much about its history or origin so I cant answer that. The thing that makes Verdesis and Wangs XSZ more powerful is the movements. They are slightly different than Zhineng Gong and a lot more challenging. Small changes to details and performance makes the whole thing a lot more challenging and transformative. The Zhineng Gong you get for free is a very simplified version.
  10. Myofascial Tensegrity and Zhan Zhuang

What you write is very interesting Shenchi! (refering also to your other post here) I would love to learn more about your Dao Yin. Do you have any written information or videos or anything?
  11. Myofascial Tensegrity and Zhan Zhuang

Hello longrythm. Do you want to explain a little more about this? Why is the PC muscle so important?
  12. Myofascial Tensegrity and Zhan Zhuang

Yes, there are many ways to do it. And all have their own benefits.
  13. Myofascial Tensegrity and Zhan Zhuang

Yes, I see XSZ like home-chiropractics But regarding slow vs. medium-slow, my experience say slow is better. I do it reeeeally slow in the weekends, when I have time to rest afterwards. To stand two hours in strange and challenging positions is not easy or pleasant. But when I do it real slow its always a lot more pleasant afterwards. Its feels a lot better for the body and the feeling of a good and slow session can last for weeks. I think the slow movements activates the proprioceptors more and therefore connects body-mind(xing - shen) more. Especially if its done with closed eyes. We get time to let consciousness enter every specific area the postures are activating. And the whole rest of the body gets time to relax. It might be that for stretching muscles its better with medium-slow. But if we also want the qigong effect I believe real-slow is better. What do you think?
  14. Myofascial Tensegrity and Zhan Zhuang

Hello Creation. XSZ is done standing. It is a "zhuang". It has both dynamic and static exercises. The more slowly the movements are the better, just like other qigong and dao yin. So one real good session lasts up to two hours. My practice lasts mostly 30-40 minutes... I learned it in Sweden: http://www.qigonginstitutet.se/index.aspx
  15. What are you listening to?

    Wow, the Sweeds really got it going on with their music: <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dACpybDZp8w&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dACpybDZp8w&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dACpybDZp8w&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
  16. Myofascial Tensegrity and Zhan Zhuang

Very cool movements! I do Xing Shen Zhuang which has a distance resemblance to the Scott Sonnon video. It is not so much fast movements, but it does open up all the joints and especially the spine. I did an anlysis of XSZ and Anatomy Trains and it revealed that XSZ is a complete workout of all the 12 Anatomy Trains Meridians. It even has an exercise directly related to the complex Spiral Line. The whole line! Not just parts of it. I am very inspired to see that age old exercises are confirmed by top notch modern discoveries. The Anatomy Trains people have embraced yoga allready, but I dont think taoist yoga will ever get the same recogntion. Even though I believe the more dynamic taoist yoga is better for the fascial structures than the mechanical stretching found in popular yoga.
  17. 100% absorbable

Im not trying to convince you that powdered grass juices are better than fresh greens. The thing is you said powder was bad for us. And THAT statement is simply not true. I enjoy all the other things you say very much so please keep sharing your wisdom
  18. From active visualization to passive observation

I totally agree! After actually seeing the things people visualize, like auras, chakras, masters, etc, to keep vizualizing them becomes delutional. To me, now, it is more important to remove and relax all faculties of my system that keeps me away from observing reality. Instead of visualizing more limited beliefsystems of how things are supposed to be like, I want to end all visualization and rather allow my interaction with as much of reality as possible. But I agree with you that it can be useful up to a certain point. Unless we get stuck with believing our visualizations are reality. Thank you for sharing this
  19. Myofascial Tensegrity and Zhan Zhuang

Yes, absolutely. Im working with a method that evolved from Ida Rolfs method, Rolfing. Rolfing is painful, but the method I do(KMI - www.anatomytrains.com) is not. Simply because we have discovered that fascia melts with slow movment and contracts with sudden movement. Much like a non-newtonian fluid(search youtube for cool videos). So we say "speed is the enemy"! ...when related to bodywork. Structural Integration is trying to release fascial blocages so the body enters its natural alignment to gravity. Which is the Zhan Zhuang position. Structural Integration has a perfect synergy with Zhan Zhuang.
  20. 100% absorbable

What? You tell people its bad, and then tell them to try it out for them selves, and THEN you say you havent even tried it yourself??? So you really dont know what you are talking about conserning these green powders...?(I know you know a lot of other things though ) I mostly eat products from Pure Planet because they dont use any additives at all. Just the pure product. Try out their Greens of Kamut if you want somewhere to start.
  21. 100% absorbable

Ive been eating green powders for years I totally recommend them! Regarding my aerobic stamina I have not seen any decline what so ever. If anything, it has become better. I have never heard of any negative effects of green powders. hahaha, this claim is just as bad as Procurators infamous: "water is bad for you"!!!
  22. Edit

This is not my experience with his students at all. I see the complete opposite. But of cource if you base your conclusions on what you see on internettforums I would understand why you see it that way.
  23. My girlfriend said "Oh no! You too??? I seem to always get guys like that!"
