Hi all, I;'m starting up a meditation routinue. I'm already "decent" at breath meditation (i dont get carried away by thoughts, im always mindful of the breath, i just need to re-set my mind on it) and i was wondering if there were any specifically taoist practices i could do - so no kundalini, etc. please. thank you

Hello all. I may be setting myself apart by this, but i'm interested in religious/ceremonial taoism as well as philosophical. I like altars, gods, immortals, etc. from time to time. and other times, i like philosophy. So, if i can pick and choose what to do when, well... that would be great. Where can i learn more about the religious side of taoism?

I just wanted to add that a lot of people here are "eclectic" - that is, they combine taoist meditations with other systems - kundalini from hinduism, etc. So, i doubt you will find "authentic" taoist meditations here...

Since when did we combine thelema and nuit madness and western occultism with taoism? and who said yin and yang are perfect ratios and such? I have a hard time believing you can take a huge concept such as yin and say its just this number.

I feel the same way you do about that one there... haha
