I've practiced it last year from August to November 2 hours a day. I stopped because the energies generated by Kunlun became too strong and rough, and caused pains in the heart and head regions. It got to the point that I couldn't meditate without my body being extreemly restless. The outside movements would disappear but I felt like a volcano ready to explode. Probably I practiced too much. I knew a different version of the same practice that I learned in my youth which is a little safer (for me) and a part of a chikung method I do every day. So I practice that instead.Do I regret it? Absolutely not. I wanted to see Max since I found out about him in 2000 from http://www.innerselfcenter.com . In fact, even though there is some kind of deep animosity between Toledo and Max's group, I would totally recommend buying most of Max's videos just to see his energy right after he came back from the East. Very simple, nice and beautiful. He was still talking about stilling the mind back then as the main component of his teachings...

Patrick, I don't think he is using it. Or... it's a really bad skill. If you read any advertisement description, there is always a ton of this stuff. Just because someone says "It's really good for you" or "if you practice Kunlun, you gain a wonderful sense of well-being and good health"-just because they may say that, it doesn't mean they are using NLP. Still for the NLP people, especially those that practice spiritual arts, it maybe very obvious when someone is using mind tricks to guide people to gain raport. Again I don't see Chris doing it for one reason. To me, to be good in this stuff, you need to put for the right type of energy the does all the hypnosis. I've seen people saying simple things and you just drift away in the la-la land. I've also seen others try to do the most amaising hidden NLP rutines and you see the intent and just laugh at them. I don't see the intent here.

I don't see there is much danger in practicing Kunlun. Of course, one can have experiences that can be very uncomfortable but after stopping the practice their effect normally dissapears. Still, it would be a great idea for a teacher to watch over a student and help her/him if the need comes. Taomeow, thanks for the entertainment. Did the experiences at the seminar make you consider putting Kunlun practice in your daily routine?

Chris, it could be in fact a genius way to promote it. And I know you and Max are very nice so I regret when it turns personal like that. Cat, as you know, it was a sample of NLP use so you are safe and sound. Plus cats don't get affected by suggestions, only tummy rubs.

Hi Cat, I don't see Chris using NLP in pure sense but there are instances (like the movie trailer) that may have dubous meaning or intent. Just watch the trailer and tell me know what the message you get from it? Is it a representation of Max or what he is teaching? Obviously, not. Still, for some (including some of my friends), it may be the cause for questioning the purpose of such marketing. Even with all the positive experiences you had with Kunlun, if a teacher displays "special" abilities that only work on his "open" students, you would probably question his intent, wouldn't you? And while you benefit greatly from practicing Kunlun, adding Red Phoenix may be an experiment with side effects you haven't been warned about. That was your NLP lesson #2

Taosweetness, I'm still waiting for you to share the effects of your practice you've experienced so far.

I think I should mention that all the lightness training mentioned above comes with special energy training that supports the skill development. Without it it's mostly useless.

I hope people are following this advice wholeheartedly.
