I think Sunshine is going to Denmark? I doubt they will see that happening because this is not a circus. Most will not have enough wisdom/ "inner eye" to see the illusion from real power. The real proof would be for a person to learn the practices and do them 3+ hours a day for many years. The possibility of this kind of dedication is very slim for many reasons. I will be making plans to go there 2008-09, as I already made other plans for this year long time ago. I would also say the person going there should be going for the right reasons, and seeing superpowers should be the last on the list.

Sunshine, agreed. Pero, I've met quiet a few "future acupuncturists" recently who are taking qigong classes outside their school. They are so bad it's scary, and most have no chi and almost never practice outside of school. If you're evolved, you don't need needles to do acupuncture.

Hi Pero, Real healing abilities are developed through personal spiritual cultivation. Look at the mass production of acupuncturists in the US theses days and you will see how quickly an "internal" healing modality is turned into an "external", mind-oriented conventional BS. Hi, Here are some practical ways to help you. If you haven't already, get Bill Bodri's book "Measuring meditation..."- it will help you sort things out in a very clear way. If you can, attend one of the Vipassana 10 day retreats and they will show you how to train the mind to be one-pointed for long periods of time. You are into Taiji, so bring the stillness training into the movement, in addition to sitting. Max

read HERE It's going to be very hard to find a translation. I would say, ask T. Cleary or other translators who deal with such texts if it was translated, and if not, ask how much it would cost to do so. You need someone who specializes in anscient taoist/Buddhist spiritual texts- a regualar translation will be worthless.

There is no surprise, i agree with SeanD. Most of the teachings in the USA about what Daoist Alchemy is/isn't are leading NoWhere... At best, one will have mediocre results with some sensations and experiences with lack of wisdom perceived as enlightenment.

Darin, Bill Bodri gave you a good advice. Many schools of Daoist Alchemy start with cultivating emptiness as the foundation. I believe some call it "creating the cauldron" where the stillness is nessesary for the alchemy to take place. Max

He is very knowlegable in Daoist Alchemy and teaches basics sometimes... If someone in the class asks him about advanced stuff, he usually replies no one is qualified to practice it. He is right. Considering your former efforts, he may have time to help you, if he sees you're sencere. My friend asked Jeff to teach him alchemy and Jeff looked at him and said my friend is not ready (he was right- about to get married with 2 twin babies about to be born). I would read closely what Trunk said. It's not that simple as following the instructions. I would say it's a sum of practice, merit, destiny, the teacher, etc. Too complicated to make a successful diagnosis by reading the energy from the post. Your best chance to talk to him is to take one of the workshops he teaches. Check his calendar here. He also teaches at The Swedish institute and at a taiji school in Chinatown in NYC (I can get you the name and address if you are still interested- no website though).

The questions of specific stages and the dates when they were reached could be a problem. I would recommend finding a master who is qualified and also able to "see" where you are at the moment. The only person in the USA I know who is capable of doing that is Jeffrey Yuen.
