  1. after all of this should the mods now create an 'over 21' sub-forum for beer drinkers?
  2. "In heaven there is no beer that is why we drink it here"
  3. The Moody Blues tried to address that question...
  4. if a beer drinker falls to the ground on the earth will it cause a ripple all over the universe compared to astronauts who drink but never fall?
  5. ...but is a burp in the forest heard if there is no one there to drink the beer?
  6. I'm the only 3bob at the site and have never done the name change game. I dropped back into this string without reading several of the previous posts which was why I offered the "I hope you don't mind" such a dropping by... there has been some strange mix-ups about who is who via your projection that six months ago all I did was argue with you? Anyway, have fun.
  7. ...in the meantime before you may or may not meet with a master on this side and since you are apparently having trouble with what can be termed the low astral you can also sincerely pray for help from the high astral or higher yet - namely angelic or divine deities (depending on your background and beliefs) who in certain cases have the job to help other beings with such matters. I have been given such help so I know it is real if sincerely sought and centered upon and not just with mind but also with heart. A picture related to such a deity is very important and will help focus the emotional and mental aspects your prayer to reach beyond just the emotional and mental aspects of such problems, use of that along with some form of well known, proven, simple but powerful mantra that is very easy to remember and repeat both routinely, and or as needed can help you in spiritual warfare, warfare that all true deities and true masters have gone through in one way or another.
  8. "Why would a "Buddhist" teacher, the Buddha didn't come to make "Buddhism", not acknowledge this?" by Stefos Just dropping by if you don't mind - could you clear up the sentence above?
  9. UNDENIABLE truths

emptiness is a highly abused word
  10. Why is the sage so useless?

or it could be that some know such realms exist...
  11. Why is the sage so useless?

your argument is full of projections and assumptions based on your pov concerning motherhood... The issue is not as simple or as black and white as you are stating, there are all sorts of variables and compromises in being a human being and in being a mother. (and father) Besides, and unless someone is wanting us to stick our nose in their family matters it is best to keep it out.
  12. You don't gain anything from empowerments

an "empowerment" could also be in the sense of being given enough help to see the truth of a situation or issue that one is dealing with. (in the best way that one can yet they are caught or stuck and need a hand)
  13. Overactive kundalini

Along the lines of what CT mentions is also called karma yoga, (as you already know) For the body I believe that Gopi Krishna said he ate meals of rice and milk to help cool off kundalini gone wrong. (with kundalini 'gone wrong' being very dangerous, thus more is not always better)
  14. Why is the sage so useless?

"If she wasn't lacking on the inside she would have stayed home with the kid." by Nikolai1 What the hell do you know about it Mr. N. and why in the hell are you harping on and on about various people and even sages as if you are in some way more developed? Such as that could be called useless.
  15. You don't gain anything from empowerments

Paul, It sounds like you've had your cup of tea pissed in to many times? Do you now have a tendency to return the favor 'bada bing bada boom' if the opportunity presents itself?
  16. You don't gain anything from empowerments

It is nice to lose being blown around every which way like a leaf in the wind and thus gain some unity and related will in one's state of being (or stance) which has many aspects.
  17. You don't gain anything from empowerments

in gaining responsibility one loses certain luxuries of beating around the bush with speculations.
  18. You don't gain anything from empowerments

depending on what you mean one could be gaining responsibilities (more and more)
  19. what is reality and what is illusion ?

.... "Bird flies up+" Bird drops poop on peoples head Bird laughs Bird finds more food, then more heads, then more laughs
  20. some negative cult traits: Quote below from Captive Hearts Captive Minds by Madeline Landau Tobias and Janja Lalich: "1. Glibness is a hallmark of psychopaths. They are able to use language effortlessly to beguile, confuse, and convince. They are captivating storytellers. They exude self-confidence and are able to spin a web that intrigues others and pulls them into the psychopath's life. Most of all, they are persuasive. Frequently they have the capacity to destroy their critics verbally or disarm them emotionally. 2.Manipulative and Conning Cult leaders do not recognize the individuality or rights of others, which makes all self-serving behaviors permissible. The hallmark of the psychopath is the psychopathic maneuver; which is essentially interpersonal manipulation "based on charm. The manipulator appears to be helpful, charming, even ingratiating or seductive, but is covertly hostile, domineering....[The victim] is perceived as an aggressor, competitor, or merely as an instrument to be used....The manipulation inevitably becomes the end-all and is no longer qualified by the reality principle." In other words, there are no checks on the psychopath's behavior--anything goes. The Psychopath divides the world into suckers, sinners, and himself. He discharges powerful feelings of terror and rage by dominating and humiliating his victims. He is particularly successful when, through an overlay of charm, he makes an ally of his victim--a process sometimes described as emotional vampirism or emotional terrorism. Examples of this type of manipulation are plentiful in the literature of Jonestown and other cultic groups. It is especially prevalent in the one-on-one cultic relationship, where there is direct involvement with the manipulator. 3. Grandiose Sense of Self The cult leader enjoys tremendous feelings of entitlement. He believes everything is owed to him as a right. Preoccupied with his own fantasies, he must always be the center of attention. He presents himself as the "Ultimate One" enlightened, a vehicle of God, a genius, the leader of humankind, and sometimes even the most humble of humble. He has an insatiable need for adulation and attendance. His grandiosity may also be a defense against inner emptiness, depression, and a sense of insignificance. Paranoia often accompanies the grandiosity, reinforcing the isolation of the group and the need for protection against a perceived hostile environment. In this way, he creates an us-versus-them mentality. 4.Pathological Lying Psychopaths lie coolly and easily, even when it is obvious they are being untruthful. It is almost impossible for them to be consistently truthful about either a major or minor issue. They lie for no apparent reason, even when it would seem easier and safer to tell the truth. This is sometimes called "crazy lying." Confronting their lies may provoke an unpredictably incense rage or simply a Buddha-like smile. Another form of lying common among cult leaders is known as pseudologica fantastica, an extension of pathological lying. Leaders tend to create a complex belief system, often about their own powers and abilities, in which they themselves sometimes get caught up. "It is often difficult to determine whether the lies are an actual delusional distortion of reality or are expressed with the conscious or unconscious intent to deceive. These manipulators are rarely original thinkers. Plagiarists and thieves, they seldom credit the true originators of ideas, often co-opting authorship. They are extremely convincing, forceful in the expression of their views, and talented at passing lie detector tests. For them, objective truth does not exist. The only "truth" is whatever will best achieve the outcome that meets their needs. This type of opportunism is very difficult to understand for those who are not psychopaths. For this reason, followers are more apt to invent or go along with all kinds of explanations and rationales for apparent inconsistencies in behavior "I know my guru must have had a good reason for doing this." "He did it because he loves me even though it hurts."
  21. some negative cult traits

"Aye, language variation isn't at all the same thing as directed, intentional hijacking of an existing language and set of cultural norms for the purpose of influencing other people's sense of reality in order to elicit control or power. It does though, for me, lead to the interesting observation that language variations really add to the propagation of and the tendency to prop up, tribal conflict and lack of comprehension that is such a part of divisive us vs them thinking... which is the goal of cults." ok, and agreed to be interesting. "Don't take my concept personally, it's not in any way intended as a valuation or devaluation judgement of what you or anyone else has posted." ok, but if you take it personally then it is a valuation for you which in turn affects your interaction with us.
  22. That sounds like an important point Captain.
  23. what is reality and what is illusion ?

I even got Bryan mixed up with that Brain guy once, but not in this photo.
  24. what is reality and what is illusion ?

I won't let "Brain" get to me but I like Brian just the way he is
  25. some negative cult traits

to some degree but such evolution of language is not in the context or motive of "cult speak" (btw, you gave the impression that none of this (including being a human being) is of your concern or interest considering your earlier implied 'why even bother or have an interest in breathing' summation)
