no comebacks on #5, hmm...

Bodhidharma stayed in cave and or faced a stone wall for around 9 years.... which looks like a form of "escapism" so who really knows the workings of dharma and all the meanings of that word? (by the way the historic Buddha "escaped" to the forest for quite awhile and thus shirked all of his obvious and standing dharmic duties as a father and husband, so who really knows the workings of dharma and all the meanings of that word?)

Requesting help in regards to meditation and third eye opening specifically
3bob replied to DeadDragon's topic in General Discussion
My take: "3rd eye opening" is not the point or goal at all compared to the reality of Self which is beyond any such power... thus such powers are at best tools for Spirit and at worst tools for demons. (as in light twisted into darkness) If we are really doing karma yoga then there is no imagination going on about getting results for healing of whatever kind or form, and if the greatest healer that ever walked the earth is not also doing karma yoga 24/7 (in effect) then how could they be used as a matrix for a pure healing to pass through them? -
Such lawful form is seen all over the place in different scales

It's strange and funny what gets moved to "off topic" section in comparison to the often off topics in the general forum.

...and MH since when was the general forum for Taoism alone? (by the way the perfect is already perfect)

righto, and why not main stream chocolate made with steva for fewer calories? (that would please some of us)

Indeed, a simple sounding song with a whole bunch of deep meaning.

The Self knows the Self, all the rest is alluding to. (in thousands of volumes over thousands of years and in thousands of forms of schools - everyone can take a pick including, "neti, neti") Om

you know there is a Vedanta saying I'll have to look up now to go with that...

Btw, the meaning of the words creation and destruction is another major subject; for instance do they just mean or limited to the idea of a constant change of forms coming and going or perhaps there is more to it - such as form changing or returning to formlessness? (which may or may not be not be known by us) I believe this idea is alluded to in T.T.C. chapter 43 with the sentence of, "Only Nothing can enter into no-space". Thus I would not exactly equate "destruction" as the end of that which is although the previous form is no more.

Cat, since you quoted me and may have implied that I was saying something about not fulfilling various dharmas (?) I'll add the following, "Guru Shakti" or I'd use the terms Sat Guru Darshan is not identified with only human form and everything that goes along with same, thus such a being is not identified with or not caught up in duality yet still fulfilling or working with dharmas as needed per their human and divine forms. (obviously forms which are not separate from creation or destruction at some point) Further it is not the dharma of a good householder to forget householder duties which would then bring a karmic price as you imply above - neither is it the place of a householder to be a renunciate, monk or hermit unless or until their householder dharma work is finished.

Comment: As the real which Is beyond duality, what duality is there then to be balanced or source to return to that never really left Itself? Considering and if accepting that - "co-creators" or un-creators are only relative or apparent in time(s) and space(s). Also that which is source for time and space can un-identify with time and space without the destruction of same, (per-se) since the eternal real is always right now beyond being trapped in identification with time(s) and space(s). Related to, "the mind of everyone remembers it" by Ragamor. Qutoe below is from "Journey to the Heart" http://www.journey2theheart.com/akashicrecords.htm "WHAT ARE THE AKASHIC RECORDS? The Akashic records are like the DNA of the universe. They are the soul's journey over time, so every thought, word, and deed is registered in the Akashic records. Each soul has its own Akashic record, and there are collective records of all souls or all journeys. They way we receive information from the Akashic Records is in encoded Light language, which is Sacred geometry of words encoded in fire, so learning how to interpret the information is crucial. We start learning to use our inner senses to give words and interpretation to what we receive; we also start getting fine-tuned to this new energy. The Akashic Records are the individual records of a soul from the time it leaves its point of origin until its return. At the time we make the decision to experience Life as an independent entity, there is a field of energy created to record every thought, word, emotion, and action generated by that experience. That field of energy is the Akashic Records. Akashic because it is composed of Akasha, (the energetic substance from which all life is formed); and Records, because its objective is to record all life experience. By opening the Akashic Records with a Sacred Prayer, we align ourselves to the vibration of the one receiving the consultation (either ourselves or another). The Prayer works with energetic vibration to "key in" to the specific "name" of the life form, and carries with it God?s protection through the Masters, Teachers and Lords of Akasha. The information in the Akashic Records helps us bring our past, present and future in to the "now". By accessing the Akashic records, we can identify and release anything that we have created, that has become a block to our present realization of our oneness with God. 'We can look at why we have addictive patterns, why we choose the relationships we do, why we have created our habitual responses, and how to create action in our lives instead of re action. The heating energy of the Akashic Records allows us the freedom to choose grace in all things; therefore, overriding any illusion we have created that causes us to believe we are separate from God/Spirit/Source. It is one of the most powerful tools available on the planet today, to help us remember our oneness with God/Spirit/Source."

if one has a hero that does something one thinks/feels is wrong voice your concerns and if you are ignored or the issue is white-washed time to let that hero go...

I'm not a Sage so I can't say for sure but I'd venture this: All beings from heavenly to hellish are under the One and the One is under the Tao, thus are not "the people" really beings or forms of which the Sage has also meant and mastered within him or her self? Further, would not such a sage be qualified to truly know the interests of such people according to Tao (I know the chapter doesn't say it that way in English, which is all I know) even if they are acting counter to Tao be able to help in their best interests? (like a tough love variation, also see chapter 27 of the TTC if you will) So called normal people try this all the time to whatever degree they are capable of and get some decent action/reaction even if they are not Sages and even if it backfires sometimes. Maybe the teachings of Aikido could help with your burning question?

Hello MH, My take: if a matrix is perfectly aligned with spirit there is nothing that can not be done in the so called material worlds which is done in the so called spiritual worlds for then there is no resistance to such action; but I agree that as human beings we need to balance the entire microcosom that we are, and I'm still not there either.

"How do we raise ourselves so as to be the wise person to whom Confucius refers, so that our love is feeding what deserves to be fed and we are contributing to the field of virtue and equaly and actively diminishing the field of ignorance". From Cat I believe part of a chapter from the TTC mentions one of the ways... 49. "The Sage has no interests of his own, But takes the interests of the people as his own. He is kind to the kind; He is also kind to the unkind: For Virtue is kind. He is faithful to the faithful; He is also faithful to the unfaithful: For Virtue is faithful..." (the enlightened quotes point far better than murky me :-)

or one might ask where is it not.... "...So, as ever hidden, we should look at its inner essence: As always manifest, we should look at its outer aspects. These two flow from the same source, though differently named; And both are called mysteries. The Mystery of mysteries is the Door of all essence."

The chapter below may have some bearing here: (?) T.T.C. 74. When the people are no longer afraid of death, Why scare them with the spectre of death? If you could make the people always afraid of death, And they still persisted in breaking the law, Then you might with reason arrest and execute them, And who would dare to break the law? Is not the Great Executor always there to kill? To do the killing for the Great Executor Is to chop wood for a master carpenter, And you would be lucky indeed if you did not hurt your own hand!

the source can not be corrupted... but when relatively away from the source and spun out into the world(s) love can be twisted into hate, yet the return and its untwisting instances of hate frees up the love that was bound. (even though the source never truly went anywhere nor was love ever truly bound)
